Shoooot. I used to be like that when my ex husband and I first split. Always mad bc he wasn't involved with our kids, him running me from outside of the house. When I got closer to God, God told me "Girl, get a life. Pursue the gifts I placed inside of you." I got me a little work from home business, I started finding studio gigs to do background singing, I started acting in plays again and I took my kids with me. I got them in sports or whatever things they were interested in. I took them on spontaneous trips out of town... we stayed busy! My ex was so mad bc he thought he'd be able to pop in and out like he had been doing. Nope! I used to ask him for money to help with bills. When he didn't help and the lights got turned off (bc I didn't have a job at the time), I vowed to NEVER ask him for anything else. And I haven't. Folk said all kinds of things about me but now they look at me and my kids and marvel. My kids are adults. My daughter is 19 with two businesses. My son, who did not go to college, works for an engineering firm and is married with a family. This is the Lord's doing folk.
Mama is right. It took me time to realize that. And when I did it took a huge burden off my shoulders and I dived into being the best mom I could be. If he comes around ok if he doesn’t that’s fine too. My children want for nothing. To me it’s actually a blessing because I don’t have anyone else’s negative influence in raising them. I don’t have to discuss any life decisions with their father etc. Mothers....we have to stop worry about what the fathers aren’t doing and worry more about what we can do for our children. It makes your life and mental health so much better❤️

That way of thinking shifted my mindset to focus on the things I can control and not worry if child support comes or not. My plan is to become so financially reliant on my gifts and talents that I can save all the child support for my children when they get older.

Hey Tony, there was a story last night on Lifetime about a famous radio personality. This story hit home on how grown boys manipulate woman and your instructions. I wanted to mention this to because watching this movie made it crystal clear that I will be DAMED if a man is going to use me up and have another woman on the side. This woman was powerful and successful but she let a man control and use her and I believe it took years from her life - hopefully not but the abuse definitely had a physical toll and you can see it physically - she should have went about her business years ago and she would have been fine but she held on to the image of marriage. No harm to her and I wish her the best for the future
I wish I could’ve shown this video to my mom many years ago. Sadly she was/is a grown girl and continued to sleep with a man who chose to actively ignore me, his child. She still did it up to 2021 until she moved out of the state.

I've been married 12 years and with him 18 years but we still struggle with parenting. We have two kids 15 and 11 years old. He's the fun parent and I'm the authoritarian. And when I try and talk and bring us on the same page he gets angry. We work everything else out except parenting and I don't know what that is or how to handle it. Things will be great until we talk about parenting but our kids are also playing the system. They are old enough to know what they can get away with dad vs mom. I have tried all levels of parenting conversations but he gets angry. I don't know how to reach him on that level. And he gets angry because the kids come to me and talk with me about their issues even though I'm the rule maker and disciplinarian.

Because I'm the one that's here I'm the one that's taking care of him I'm the one that stays up late with him when he cries all night I'm the one that has to take him to the hospitals when he's sick. Do not hurt him emotionally mentally spiritually and you better not hurt him physically because the moment that I do find out that you're doing this to him that's it you're gone you're out for good you will never see us again ever after that I went so many years without you before and I thought I wouldn't be able to make it those two years without you but I did and I will continue to live without you if it comes down to it. Yes at one point in time I truly loved you I would have done anything for you I would have ran into a burning building for you I would have moved a dead body for you I wouldn't even busted you out of jail, but now that I have him it changed I changed for him you do not know how much that little man means to me. Do not hurt him. So many emotions. Hey Tony, there was a story last night on Lifetime about a famous radio personality. This story hit home on how grown boys manipulate woman and your instructions. I wanted to mention this to because watching this movie made it crystal clear that I will be DAMED if a man is going to use me up and have another woman on the side. This woman was powerful and successful but she let a man control and use her and I believe it took years from her life - hopefully not but the abuse definitely had a physical toll and you can see it physically - she should have went about her business years ago and she would have been fine but she held on to the image of marriage. No harm to her and I wish her the best for the future

I've been married 12 years and with him 18 years but we still struggle with parenting. We have two kids 15 and 11 years old. He's the fun parent and I'm the authoritarian. And when I try and talk and bring us on the same page he gets angry. We work everything else out except parenting and I don't know what that is or how to handle it. Things will be great until we talk about parenting but our kids are also playing the system. They are old enough to know what they can get away with dad vs mom. I have tried all levels of parenting conversations but he gets angry. I don't know how to reach him on that level. And he gets angry because the kids come to me and talk with me about their issues even though I'm the rule maker and disciplinarian.

Hell, my child’s father won’t even get my son unless he can knock me down. My son hasn’t seen him in almost 8 years and my son is 7. He’s never seen a birthday, holiday, school events, park day, nothing but he already know if you don’t love my child you don’t love me so you cut off off that period and that’s goes for any man so he know not to even fix his mouth to come at me like that. Damn right. That is what I told my baby daddy you want to be a part of our kids life then work show me put in the effort be there talk to him get to know him. Because I'm the one that's here I'm the one that's taking care of him I'm the one that stays up late with him when he cries all night I'm the one that has to take him to the hospitals when he's sick. I'm here for him when he freaks out when he gets scared when he starts crying or when he's mad and monkey stomping things. Do not hurt him emotionally mentally spiritually and you better not hurt him physically because the moment that I do find out that you're doing this to him that's it you're gone you're out for good you will never see us again ever after that I went so many years without you before and I thought I wouldn't be able to make it those two years without you but I did and I will continue to live without you if it comes down to it. Yes at one point in time I truly loved you I would have done anything for you I would have ran into a burning building for you I would have moved a dead body for you I wouldn't even busted you out of jail, but now that I have him it changed I changed for him you do not know how much that little man means to me. Do not hurt him. So many emotions. Thank you for your word of wisdom and your advice, I'm so glad I look these up because I'm just going through a lot right now and I just want to figure things out and I just want my son to be okay. I do not want him growing up hating his dad were resenting Us in some way because I know what he can do to you it's not good to hold on to that. I hope one day I'll find someone who would treat me as an equal, and I hope that person loves my son as much as I do.
