One of the biggest culprits for over-eating exhaustion people usually compensate with food when they are tired and haven't slept enough. Enough water and rest helps curb triggers of over eating.

Yes, sleep can definitely affect the way you eat.

Other possible reasons (I think you’ve covered most of these in other videos)
    3. Not sleeping well/enough
    4. Low emotional coping skills (which you me too later!)
    5. Medications/medical conditions with appetite side effects
    6. Lack of satisfaction from other areas (similar to 4 but different skill deficits)

I don’t binge or overeat every meal but I have a thing about “finishing” what I have. My psych says it’s part of my ADHD because I always considered crisps a trigger but it depends on the portion size. For instance, if I bought a small bag of crisps, I could eat them and be fine with that one portion BUT if I buy a large sized bag, I pretty much KNOW that when I open them, I will eat the whole bag. It’s not about restrictions but “finishing” the food. I am only that way with packaged snacks. It is so weird. I just avoid buying big bags of anything snacky and it works fine for me. Lol 😂

I totally get what you mean! There's also huge societal pressure around having to finish opened bags of food or your plate, etc. Learning to listen to your hunger cues over the urges to finish can really help!

Same here. When I was a child, I always was pressured to finish my food, and it’s kind of stuck in my head. I’m trying to make smaller portions, buying smaller bags of snacks.))

I don't get uncomfortable at all
But i 100% eat more than I should..
I don't have a real idea of what portions need to look like or how to let myself stay hungry..
I've been overweight basically my whole life.

My favorite is chocolate!! What I have done is have dark chocolate but now in the smaller individual pieces. So after dinner I have 2-3 pieces with some decaf tea and I'm happy :) I know they're always there, but that is my special time to have them. It's been working for me for several years now. Bonus? My granddaughters also know they're there when they visit and have a couple as a treat!

What helps me is recording my daily food on an app like Cronometer. It helps me realize how much calories I've taken in that day and helps me to stop eating for the day.

Last night I made a couscous salad, but the couscous was stale and I didn't realise until I tasted it. I wasn't going to waste the other ingredients so I ate it regardless...but you better believe I stopped when I was full 😂
I always struggle with knowing when I'm full, so this was actually really eye-opening! (Don't recommend though lol)

Help me not “reward” myself with food: you had a hard day, here’s a snack. You did the laundry, here’s a snack. You got the kids to bed, here’s a snack. You finished your meal, here’s a snack.

I have an issue with seeing the food as "waste" if i dont eat it so i feel like i HAVE to eat everything on my plate. Cause I'll portion everything out to what I can have a day, but if im not super hungry i feel i have to finish cause thats what im alloted for the day i can eat all of that, and if i force myself to eat whats "good" and nutritional for me then i wont binge on other "bad" foods. So then i feel uncomfortable all day and still usually binge on the other foods haha

bonjour. keeping up my blood sugar's an issue. eg, i eat quite a lot until 4 30 pm by which time i feel full (which at my ripe old age i have realised is important for me, even if my stomach sticks out a lot - fashion editors please note!) ... but the following morning, if i haven't eaten again after 4 30 pm, i feel terrible. am vegan and allergic to many foods bc am on meds., f ur info.. have long covid as well which manifests in muscle aches. thank you. ru 1/2 american, btw?

@@reductioabsurdum4074 It is true that veganism pays a lot more respect towards the environment and animal rights. But…is it worth sacrificing your health for that? If you are lucky enough to live in a country full of greenery, chances are you can easily find grass-fed beef and eggs from free-roaming chickens. Maybe you even have rivers or ocean nearby where fishermen will get fresh catches for you. Please don’t deprive yourself.

It's going to be hard to keep up your blood sugar if you fast for this long!! I would recommend spreading your meals out a little bit more throughout the day so that you don't go as long without food.☺
