    Do you have any product recommendations for at-home teeth whitening?

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The at home bleaches are all about the same. 10% carbamide peroxide.

    Hello.
    What kind of night guard do you recommend for patients who had veneers?
    Hard, soft, hard and soft combo?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard, flat plane acrylic so the opposing teeth slide on the surface of the night guard. Watch my video in the library of DentistryMasterClasses.com. Take your practice to the Top Tier. It was easy to remove the composite from the teeth or you just went preparing the teeth for veneers?

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I do not understand your question. Please rephrase.

    • @Aboshihab1
      @Aboshihab1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dental Minute with Steven T. Cutbirth, DDS for the patients who have already direct bonded composite veneers on their front teeth! When they asked to change and do porcelain veneers! The fact of removing the old composite from their teeth was easy?

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, removing the old composite veneers should be pretty easy. The composite will be easier to prepare than tooth structure because it is not as hard.

    What precaution should patient take after getting veneers and is it recommended if patient had habit of bruxism

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The patient should have a night guard and they should not bite anything harder that a tuna fish sandwich with their front teeth. This is true for natural teeth or restored maxillary anterior teeth. The biting angle is not good for maxillary anterior teeth. Shear force is placed on the maxillary anterior teeth when the patient bites on them, vs. biting along the long axis of the posterior teeth when those teeth bite something. Nice video sir. What is your favoutite shade when you make veneers ?

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      B-1+ if I am not matching the shade of the patient's natural teeth.. Women in the US like light colored teeth. I want veneers that are light refractive like natural teeth, not intensely opaque like a toilet bowl. I do not want veneers that are too translucent because translucency appears grey.

    Do you know of a way to remove veneers in one piece piece? Radio surge ?

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should never be able to remove a veneer once it is bonded to the tooth. Once bonded, the veneer should basically be as strong as a natural tooth and the tooth is as likely to break as the veneer. Watch my video on "How too Make Veneers as Strong as Natural Teeth."

    Hello Sir, thank you for the video. How to determine before the bleaching where the yellow colour of the tooth is situated-on the surface or from inside?( exept from doxicicline teeth)

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You cannot determine where the yellow color is in the tooth. Bleaching is a gamble. You do not know what the final outcome will be until you bleach the teeth and see what happens. Bleaching does not work well it the teeth have intrinsic stain, like from tetracycline.

    The only time no prep veneers would even remotely work is if a patient presents with noticeably undersized teeth and spacing. Even then, there sill is some prepping, so the term "no prep" is a ridiculous marketing term more aimed at an unknowing public, rather than any clinician worth his salt.

    11.51 exactly what I expected to hear their only advantage is they cost less time and money which is very important for some patients and it's still whole lot better then doing nothing so they go for it.
