    Im a pretty young prosthodontist. Tried this trick today. Was really nervous at first because so many of my colleagues say this will burn the tissue. Anyway I tried this - it worked! Thank you so much for the tip. Really considering joining that MasterClass.
    P.S. Waiting for that adress to send you Christmas presents, doc!

      Fabulous. You will really like the videos in DMC.com. Watch them all over and over. There are hundreds of "hot"tip" videos and many, many complete comprehensive cases. I won't tell you anything in the videos that is not the truth and has not stood the test of many years of practice.

    Once I realized that etching was effective in bleeding control. But I had never thought about etching it twice! Because I thought it won’t work at all. Pretty awesome technique. Congrats.

    Great trick my dear doctor , Can you post a video for more extraction cases and i a patient came to my clinic complaining from pericoronitis impacted lower wisdom and he suffers from pain while opening and closure of his mouth which indicates TMJ problems ... So my question is .. is it usual for TMJ pain to be associated with lower 8 impaction?

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. Certainly, the wisdom teeth pain could cause facial pain and dysfunction or the facial pain (intraarticular) and pericornitis pain may be completely separate pains and dysfunctions. You could find out by taking an MRI of the TMJs and seeing the position of the disc or, if the TMJ is popping, you know it is an anteriorly displaced, reducing disc. Also, you could extract the wisdom teeth and see if the problem resolves. Take your practice to the Top Tier. It works. I discovered it by accident years ago when etching teeth for veneers that had some gingival bleeding. Leave it for 1 minute, then rinse with cold water from a water bottle with a large diameter opening. Do not use your air water syringe because too much pressure and you might break the scab and cause bleeding agin. Sometimes you may have to reapply for an additional minute if heavy bleeding. Sir can we administer lidocaine in intra sulcular injection ??

    • @centerforard
      @centerforard  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have found that anesthetics with vasoconstrictor often cause an ulcer if administered under pressure, as in an intraligamental injection. I just always use Citanest 4% without vasoconstrictor. No problem with lidocaine with epinephrine if you are extracting the tooth so long as you have previously numbed the tooth with a mandibular block or maxillary infiltration. The lidocaine with epinephrine would be painful if the tooth is not already 90% numb. Take your practice to the Top Tier. No, not at all. Enamel can be etched for 1 minute, and probably much longer, without problems. Dentin, on the other hand, should not be etched or more than about 15 seconds.

      I have used the 38% phosphoric acid method for many years without any problems. You would not want to place the etch on dentin for more than 30 seconds, but there should be no problem if the etch was on enamel for 1 minute. Very little of the etch is on tooth structure if you are just using it for hemostasis.

    why dont you just use hemostatic agent ?

    • @splitdemon719
      @splitdemon719 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Talking from my experience, the hemostatic leaves that black clot that when you try to clean it, it restarts the bleeding. I've yet to try this technique but I'm definitely giving it a go. Seems not as messy has the hemostatic.
