      @@StevensonDentalSolutions I do have one question also. When working on live people the water spray restricts my view in the mirror to the point that nothing can be seen. How do you deal with that while maintaining the things said in the video?

    • @StevensonDentalSolutions
      @StevensonDentalSolutions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Keep the water spray controlled - often it is way too high. Also, try moving the mirror a bit further a way. A dental assistant helps but this isn't always possible. Cut a little, the look, then cut a little then look. After a while, "you will see through the spray" like a Jedi Knight!

      @@StevensonDentalSolutions Well I hope the force will get stronger with me! 😀 Can I suggest content? Maybe some more guides, tips and tricks in endodontics, full/partial dentures,tooth beared overdentures, impressions etc? But these ergonomics and basics are great cause seems to me not many people talk about it. Btw my first ceramic onlay turned out great thanks to your onlay video!

    This is a phenomenal video. I have been looking for a guidance on this topic for so long and am so happy you created it. Maybe I didn't search out for enough mentorship in dental school or in private practice but I've never had an instructor teach these concepts like you. It's honestly therapeutic for me to watch these videos, learning about ways to get better. Thank you so much.

    Today I had very my first patient in operative dentistry today as a dentistry student and I had a very hard time on the distolingual surfice of tooth 24 on indirect vision. The tooth was also rotated so I felt very bad for having hard time trying to actually see and operate at the same time. This video made me feel much better, I now know this can be improved. thank you dr for this amazing content
    i have a question about the finger rest
    sometimes i struggle maintaining a stable effective finger rest
    my (index,thumb,middle fingers) are just moving freely over my rest finger i just feel that i don't have enough control and the head of the contra tips right and left up and down
    ive been 2 years in this disappointment and i keep getting bad grades for this
    any help?

      Try a modified pen grasp - this will stabilize the entire finger rest. Make small movements with your arm and not your fingers...
