I don’t own this vehicle, but I’ll bet those who do really appreciate this detail showing how it comes apart. Wish you had a current gen Ridgeline in a vid like this! Anyway, really appreciate you guys!
Fantastically made sir! This is so much more interesting than product advertising and amp dynos, or most of all… repetitive features of the same person over and over due to their yes man fan boy attitude.
I wish audio manufacturers would do an analysis of which cars are most commonly modified aftermarket and develop specific kits for them. I know that’s the case with the Jeep Wranglers but Jeep sells more Grand Cherokees than Wranglers so why not a kit for the GC? I bet it would also be great for enthusiasts cars like Camaros, Mustangs, Charger/Challengers.
@@cheapme1850 the newer ones have the sporty look as Toyota is said to be going back to the power, since they already have the reliability down so I expect future Camry if the ICE survives will probably be more of a tuner type to send the ice off blissfully! With that said in my travels from Texas to Maine this year I’ve seen a great bit of them on the highway and In parking lots and they’ve been tastefully modded to add to the slightly aggressive look!
Hello, I have a Silverado the same with the small radio, it has 6 stickers and it has a camera, it also has Bluetooth and I would like to change the radio for a similar one but that is as original as possible
Oh man. Usually the speakers I see you install are just 'alright, cool?' But this, I would've loved to hear this in person. Looks like it'd be sonically fantastic. Small sub, maybe bass shakers. I'd imagine this would be perfection. But alpine stopped making them! AND they still make the type x 12, for 550$! I own two because they were ultra cheap used. Those are no where near worth 550$, or existing.
No. It's not the enclosure. It sounds ok. Just takes way too much power to get bass. That 82db efficiency for a 12", kills the speaker. I've a Rockford 1000x1d. No problems there. Plus I've tried anything from 1.75-2.5cuft. Not a linear sub either. 63-80hz isn't great. Put a lower power sub in your box, then get back to me. Even a 15" cvx on 300w, gets louder
@@tatsumaru12345 power isn't an issue for me so I don't care about how much power I'm using. The sub is extremely linear in the right enclosure. User error
Dash polarity swap was intentional due to the factory using large format tweeters, that way they don't get image flutter. You could have just pulled it back apart and swapped the polarity at the tweeter alone so it's back in polarity with the door midbasses, leaving the dash mids out of phase so you once again don't get image flutter.
This is an old video, loved watching it again anyway! Wish they'd bring this kit back as well as the x110sil. My 2015 Silverado is crying for this!
Wow, you really enjoy seeing your face in the camera and hearing yourself talk....

I looked at these kits when I was planning my build. Decided on 4 Kicker amps and a DM810. Haha
I bet it sounds really good though.
This video makes me wish I had the model year Silverado that this fits.

Valuable insight. Been a fan for a few years now.
Awesome job guys once again
Putting 8"s in the doors with *no* roadkill = rattletruck :)
What is Fernando doing in the background. Looks like he's a praying angel ornament. Lmao 🤣🤣 I love this show.
Great job guys. Those Alpines look amazing. God, GM still stuck in the 90s with their interiors. Lol
Masters of their craft!
Hey @ 53:17 sound likes somebody farted ha!!!! IJS
Yeah back up cameras are often conveniently located within eyeshot of a 7 pin wire harness.
The one wire is for rev lights
That's a pretty sweet kit

They sell more cherokees but more people upgrade wranglers hence why there is more stuff for them!
@@tammyforbes2101 Good point. I guess it's like a Toyota Camry - they sell tons of them but I doubt anyone does anything to them after sale.

Now audio is another story
Can you wire it like that and connect remote wire to another amp for subs
nice work guys....
Did u guys ever fix the ground and remote wires kuz Fernando put em in backwards on the amp side??
I bet those 8's rock!
Anybody else here the fart at 53:20 😂

I hope u guys fixed the connections after Fernando got the Ground and Remote wire backwards????
Best Alpines I've ever heard were the 6062/6022 set (which was made for them by Dynaudio).
WHAT CAN YOU RECOMMEND SAME AS OR NEXT BEST TO THIS SET UP??
Oh man. Usually the speakers I see you install are just 'alright, cool?'

Your enclosure isn't proper if you think that. I have a type x 10 that I got for cheap and it has blown me away with how good it sounds

Would those 8"s fit in a 6 3/4" hole?
I honestly didn’t know they still made vehicles with manual crank windows 😳
Yes #BoschTools 31:42 YAAAAAAAAA
I was watching this video like “oh they did another one” until I realized this install was 2 years ago
Hello guys, can you tell me where I can get them? Please
Did u guys ever fix the amp on this. Fernando u put the ground and remote wire backwards, hopefully u did. I wonder why u guys disnt show this, lol.
The Fart at 53:18!!! Love Dean! lol
sucks you can't use the back-up cam if the tailgate is down..
I’m so jealous…they had a whole kit for this trunk to replace everything and I can’t even get a dash kit for my 2010 Lincoln MKZ ..😢😢
that you recommend me for that

"image" flutter when talking about phased and dephased audio signals....yeah those pesky sound images, fkn lol
53:19 who farted I heard it.
PLEASE AND THANK YOU
I think this is the first time I've seen Nando build the amp rack
I was thinking the same thing.
He has done a few in past videos.
Alpine still sells those 3" Mids. 30MC
Way too expensive in today's market
Yo
Alpine needs to bring back the mrp2000 and make it 1ohm stable. I'd buy one for $1500 easily
🔥💪👌💯
