- Assetto Corsa Competizione finally saw its PS5/Xbox Series X|S release last week (22nd February), and thanks to the huge amount of content we’ve created for the PC version over the past year we’re in a great position to collate all the best ACC guides, tips and advice to make your GT3 journey a successful one.
We talk you through the best way to tackle ACC’s tracks, with expert tuition from John Munro. We also delve into parts of ACC’s mechanics that aren’t explained well in-game: race starts, pitstops, and car setups.
PS5 Xbox Series X|S specific options such as Private Lobbies are also discussed, then we take a short look at what's on the horizon for the sim in terms of future updates to the console versions.
Admittedly, ACC’s next-gen release hasn’t been problem-free, but Kunos Simulazioni has committed to troubleshooting its popular esports title - with hopes that'll be sooner rather than later.

All this stuff can be set automatically. All you gotta do is drive into the square in the pitbox. I don't fool with hitting switches. This might upset some of you guys with 2,000 dollar wheels, but hey...I do not care.

I definitely did and I play on controller… I’ve only had the game for about a week (haven’t played any race games in about 10-15 years) and after watching a few videos and adjusting my settings, I am now able to compete in actual races. Although, I have zero Knowledge of the tracks so I have to make sure to practice run each one over and over again. But it’s actually become fun. Honestly, I’m sure it’s not as fun or “interactive” as a wheel is, but it still scratches that Racing Sim itch I’ve had for a while now!

Great video. thanks. Im having trouble finding a race. do you have a video on that process? Im only finding one or two racers at best in the quick play lobby regularly.
Sadly we don’t have a video specifically for that, but I would definitely recommend looking into organised league racing, or things like LFM, Simsport and Sim Grid. Plenty of things out there, main thing is to get on the internet, get on discord servers, and get chatting to people 😊

Hi I have a g29 with shifter trying to play acc on ps5. However, my g29 is not recognised in the preset of acc although I can drive with the wheel but the shifter and clutch does not work when I switch to manual. Can advise where I’ve done wrong? I had the same rig on gt7 and the wheels with shifter works perfectly fine, so the wheels and shifter is not faulty. Please enlighten me. Tks.

Are there any "clubs" for beginners? I have potential to be a great racer, I have been a gamer for a long time, and love racing, but have never stepped into SIM Racing. I would love to learn!
There is no discription on what the video settings do on the ps5 version. Can someone explain please as mine looks really bad and how am I supposed to bind all those controls to my duelsense controller

Have you tried to open the game using the wheel rather than the controller?
@Zuber you have to open the game with the wheel or the game doesn't recognise it.
You do get road detail but zero turning force
I'm on a controller should I turn of steer assist or not? Most simcade games like Forza and Gran Turismo have that.
You need wheel for real sim.
Race how you want. Don't listen to this mennie tool. Just have fun with it. It's still just a game no matter how you shake it.
Please can somone tell if you can play freeroam on the ps5 if you can how?
I assume there is the option of coloured road arrows to help learn the tracks?
if you mean driving line then yes, console version has that option.

@@Wilayaat Definitely! I was craving something like this and indeed, a challenge. Pleased how you can easily set up a quick race without having to tweak dozens of things. Car feels pretty good right away, even if not optimised.
Is there any word on fixing wheel support on console? This and forza horizon 5 both randomly disconnect from the ffb entirely at random.
it also seems to be worse with this next gen upgrade...
Can console play with PC player on the server?
Hi, i desperately need some help with ACC on ps5. I cannot use my dualsense controller and my g29 wheel at the same time. It's either wheel or the Controller. If i turn on the Wheel the, controller doesn't work anymore and vise versa. Is it the same for everyone? My first time on ACC. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
sadly the game is just made that way. you can only use one or the other at same time. not both like you can in GT Sport and so forth.
I’m on Xbox series x and can’t see the start indicator on top! That’s a shame! And the game doesn’t allow me to start my first career race in Zolder , it literally stops my car saying my input will be blocked for 30 seconds, but then are only about 10 secs ?!
Hello! The indicator is for multiplayer specifically, that should have been clearer. Apologies!
For Zolder, this is a glitch I have also experienced. We believe it’s the game thinking you are entering the pitlane, so it then locks your controls as if you are making a pitlane start. I presume you are on the right hand side of the grid? If so, try staying more to the left when you drive out of the last chicane on the formation lap. Hopefully that works, and more importantly, hopefully they have a fix for it soon!
I have the G29 Logitech an it feels terrible compared to games like GT7 ….do I have to modify the settings…I’m no pro driver but it’s literally unplayable with my wheel
Default settings are the worst in acc. You can find some set up on TH-cam or google

I just bought, I have my wheel rotation on 480° in game but it still drives with 900° rotation, how do I fix this? (Logitech G920 & Xbox Series S)
Have you tried setting the steering in game to 900 so that it matches? That might be worth a shout as on pc when you do this, it then matches any car you are driving.

Everyone says this game has these amazing graphics, but am I the only one that feels like that couldn’t be further from the truth?

I got this and have put loads of time into it. Driving in cockpit feels great and that's the only thing I like about it. The whole concept is stupid. Coming first should mean you win, not in acc. Game explains nothing.

in 2022 I dont understand why anyone will buy a console over a PC
A lot of it comes down to cost, consoles are a more affordable option for many.
Lets just do a rough estimate of a PC vs. Console "sim rig". Driving peripherals + rig are even steven for everyone. A Solid PC with a single ultra wide monitor setup and a decent speaker set will run around $2500-3000 (including keyboard, mouse, swivel tray, maybe even a nice cam for streaming). PS5 = $399. Furthermore, consoles are extremely powerful now. I play ACC on PS5 with a really nice TV and it looks great. Lots of reasons to be on a console, and lots of reasons for devs like the guys behind iRacing to starting brining things to consoles in near future.
I'm 46 years old. I run a catering business and I'm a dad. I don't want to spend, nor do i have the time to mess around with a pc anymore. I want to turn it on and play. I do miss modding skyrim though.
Lots of virgin hackers on a pc too. Consoles also have great exclusives on PS5 that blow anything on PC out of the water, regardless of how expensive the rig is.
I can’t be bothered faffing about with a PC for gaming. Too much wasted time when things go wrong, consoles are plug and play and are better than many PC’s anyway. For me PC’s are for work, consoles are for play.
Wasted enough time and racing to work with the joke pit stops on that game.
This is kinda shocking that your pushing a guide for a game that's broken for 80% of people since the update and u failed to mention that kunos only update console once a year. This review is irresponsible
