    So far ( Jan.'21) boosted my Zinc intake to 25 mg. 68, my macular degeneration is steady, dry skin has stopped and during these Covid times, it possibly boosted my immunity to colds or Flu. As, though getting drenched in the rain I breathe easily thru both nostrils. Thanks Dr.Sam, ...for the 'further' boost. Please keep up the good work especially harrassment by N. For vegetarians/vegans sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds are excellent sources for zinc, not to mention calcium, magnesium, iron, and other goodies. The mineral content of these two seed types is quite amazing.

      @@HTB6493 That can be remedied by soaking the sesame and pumpkin seeds for several hours (at room temperature) in a covered bowl of water with 1-2 teaspoons of sea salt added. This soaking also makes the seeds more digestible, plus it adds a nice savoury flavour to them.

    • @Chase-vq6eq
      @Chase-vq6eq 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@HTB6493 it's a bummer the bowel transit time is so high on meat, almost like it shouldn't be consumed by humans. Our digestive track is three times the length of our torso, which is a common trait with plant eaters. We also don't have claws or teeth for it, and cooking the food simply removes nutrients. By all means stick to your meat though, I personally got off my flesh addiction and feel great physically because of it. It takes 2 days roughly with meat to get through, fruit/veggies less than a day, so yeah its a bit of a biological argument.

      50 years ago in the USA, the doctors were mostly men, smoking a cigar, smelling like an ashtray. He comes in and says to me: What seems to be bothering you? What I wanted to say was.......you are. Today my doctor came in and never made eye contact with me, sat down at his desktop and started typing. He finally said: what seems to be troubling you? What I wanted to say is ......you are. No wonder we turn to TH-cam to search for help in the medical field. Dr.Sam is the example every doctor should follow.

    Sam, I am now 66 (from the UK). Until about 10 years ago, all my life I suffered with bad colds each winter - typically three per winter season. In 2010 I heard an article on the radio about zinc, so I started taking a supplement, 15mg of Zinc Citrate per day, (its cheap £1.50 for 30 tablets). The result is this: in the past 10 years I would have had ~ 30 colds, with chest infection. In those ten years I have had around 6 colds and without a chest infection. So I am convinced zinc acts as a prophylactic against colds and flu. I was also interested that you mentioned IBD, which I have suffered with since I was 22 and take Mesalazine each day. Thanks for your presentation, no other Physician has ever mentioned zinc to me. Philip Robinson.

      @@DrSamBailey Thanks. Can you explain the mechanism how it works, or a reference perhaps? From what I have read, a virus has to overcome a series of "hurdles" before it can penetrate a cell and insert its RNA into the nucleus, in order to reproduce. Zinc is involved in the efficiency of these "bio-chemical hurdles" .

    As winter is here now (1/7/21), I am once again enjoying my inheritance ...eczema. It has been a long time coming, I am seventy-one as I write this. I really have little to complain about, yeah, tinnitus (two 'n's, one for each ear ) in my left ear. Just happened a month maybe two ago. It can become scary at times. A type of possession haunting your very private peace. I'm sorry you had no easy solutions, more for you than me, you want so much to help us. I was glad to find you here. Didn't come across your site and I am always travelling through the net. My Tinnitus is the result of playing in a rock band many moons ago. Any way, I just wanted to tell you, you are doing a bang up job. You are really pretty too, love your mannerisms. Thanx.

    Thank you so much for explaining this!❤ I started taking Zinc regularly this year. I haven't had the "usual" colds, flus, or other viruses. My mom & grandma have Macular Degeneration, so that was 1 of many reasons I started trying to be good about taking it every day. I've had a couple of years of being unable to eat enough food, so I was deficient in just about everything. I'm working with a Gastroenterologist - my esophagus had narrowed to 11x5mm, so my stomach was tiny & I had a hard time eating & keeping food down. My PCM missed this for over 2 years.

    Great video. A point to note is that medical authorities around the globe quite simply CANNOT agree on recommended daily intakes of ANY vitamins or minerals. Logic would dictate that that RDI's would be made with an evidence base and that there would therefore be consensus. As an example, here in the UK our zinc RDI is 15mg daily for men AND women, not 11mg and 8mg. This kind of variation between nations makes a mockery of RDI's.
    This is not to criticize you doctor, but rather to highlight the absurdity of the advice from the regulators.

    It's good medical info. and advice you're giving. Thanks & grateful esp. in pursuit of Terrain Theory, prepping up the reservoir when/if the Germ Theory hits. Learnt (correctly or wrongly in my understanding) from your other valuable videos. On zinc, I understand that copper is a counter-balance to it, and is another reason why we should tamper the necessary dosage. Would you please comment? BTW, I will be purchasing your Virus Mania on Kindle within the next couple of days. The reviews on Amazon are glowing. Keep up with your meaningful work. Rarer folks like you not only help keep the world safe but help as well to encourage people to have the courage, gumption to do the right thing by humanity. Blessings!

Skin is also better. I'm vegan for about 20 years and vegetarian before that so must hav3 needed it. Kind regards Pete

    About 40 years ago I wounded deeply my shin, and it lead to gangrene. Luckily it didn't get to the bone before being properly treated. The puncture hole was..well...the size round of a 12 inch spike :-( For at least 20 years there was a scab or wound there 90% of the time, as the skin was very thin over the puncture point, and it didn't take much to tear it. 20 years ago I learned that zinc was very important in tissue healing/knitting. It only took a few months, taking zinc, and the skin healed thickened, and has remained a solid scar. If you need zinc, it does wonders, like most minerals and trace minerals do. IMO the very first thing a doctor should do, is test a persons mineral and trace mineral balance, before doing anything else. Also checking for heavy metals and any other toxic substances. Remove toxins and balance mineral and trace minerals, and most people would be healthy.
    Keep getting vaccinated and you will never be truly healthy.

    Love your videos ..very factually informative ..one thing I seen on TV is when u take suppliments without food (including orange juice ) study's show u may only receive UPTO 5% of the nutrients .and if taken with food u get around 85% of the nutrients ..this was independently tested..I think it might have been on TARGET ..it has sumthing to do with digestion Vs urination and the 2 different cycles in the body and the way things are triggered etc

    very useful, thanks. I found that years of exhaustion are very well reversed by taking potassium supplements. Anything on Potassium could be useful for people. Thanks for all the great videos, being gorgeous and wonderfully intelligent. Well done doc :)

    I recently found your TH-cam channel and have been going through all your videos. QUESTION: Can you do a little something on K2 MK-7? I am reading good things about it.
