Is the inside of that heel hollow? I would have thought, at that price point, the heels would be made of solid wood.

If it was solid, it'd be quite heavy.
But plastic is a cheap way out - many luxury brands cut corners.
Leather all the way! Wood is ok too.

Does the paint peel I painted some boots a month ago and they pealed

It's a Dye not a paint and you have to deglaze the surface before you apply paint then it will stay.

That was not the correct repair. You should have changed the sole
