Star Wars theory is the most honest, non-biased opinion of Star Wars. He’s very over minded and very respectful and I agree with almost anything that he says. I don’t see why Disney doesn’t hire him, George Lucas, or somebody who is truly passionate and knowledgeable about Star Wars to fix it.
But he is biased. He has admitted he's bias. He knows what about star wars he likes or dislikes. Which is fine, i think you mean to say he's authentic

Lol Yeh like, they go and make this "New Jedi Order" even the title is a p*ss take and slap in the face to Luke Skywalker from the EU. Rey establishes the REAL *New Jedi Order* and continuation of the Jedi in the Galaxy; where Luke could not. A new "threat" emerges and Rey *Trains* her new Jedi, and they all defeat the threat, Rey is the new "Grand Master" or just comes up with some radical new philosophy, where maybe they don't even become known as "Jedi" anymore but she calls all her force sensitives - "Skywalkers." EVERYONE'S a SKYWALKER now lol! Come on, how many starwars fans would go for something like that really!?
I reckon KK keeps turning down Steven Knight's scripts because she wants him for his obvious Talent, but she wants Knight to be like Mangold & Rian, another Director who will do things EXACTLY how SHE wants; and Steven Knight is most likely writing Rey to be "Flawed" like she should be, especially by now.

As I said before, it’s not really about representation, for KK it’s about heavy-handed feminist themes and trying to make everyone forget the real Star Wars , and believe she was the genius behind it all along.
I heard a rumor that the creator of Andor may take over the franchise, and I hope it’s true. I know you weren’t a huge fan of the series because you thought it lacked some of the spirit of the original movies. You can’t deny that it had great characters and an actually intelligent plot. The characters actually did things that made sense and were consistent. I actually loved how it felt different than any Star Wars show or movie that came before but still respected and fit into the galaxy, and explored aspects of the universe that we never really saw before. I especially liked what we saw of the inner workings of the empire.
And here’s the thing- Andor had a ton of “representation”. Racial/ethnic diversity, tons of strong women, even a gay couple. It never made any of that the central point of the story though, because they had an actual interesting story to tell.
I felt the same way about Peacemaker. All the representation, but none of the sermon.

all those rumors are basically just people throwing it into orbit and wishing it was that way, they never hold any real truth, more so, KK probably would have to be removed by force at this point, she's never gonna give it up willingly and George was stupid enough to give her his backing because she can say "well, George said I should be in charge" but what her "in charge" amounts to is basically adopting a child and forcefully have it undergo transgender operations while all the people really caring about it having a mental breakdown over it and you're just standing there saying "well I was in charge to care for this kid" yeah Kathleen, not like that, not like fkin that....

Same. I kinda feel bad cause its not her fault its the writers. They should have made her character darker( more evil) so she wouldnt be a mary sue. For instance, would have been interesting if she turned into a sith and went rogue, and Kylo turned back into a jedi to defeat her.
In an age where it's common and even encouraged for actors to shit on the fans, Daisy hasn't done that. I don't think she's a spectacular actor, but she's perfectly fine. Honestly, not a single one of the main 4 have ever said anything that bothers me.
Fortunately, I haven't heard any stories about psychos pestering them like they pestered Jake Lloyd or Wil Wheaton. And they walked out of it all with a big fat check and some name recognition. So even if they're disappointed with the script and how things turned out, they seem to have made it out okay, so I'm happy for them there.

I heard the the tattoo artist analogy, some directors are like tattoo artists who when you go in the shop and ask for something you always invisioned in your head, they take the job and say they got you, but when the tattoo is done you cry because its completely different to what you expected/wanted, but the artist smiles, takes the cash and takes photos for their insta because they think its some of their best work ever.
I also heard the scenario works for a hair salon stylist instead of a tattoo artist lol

Disney keeps churning out these people that keep talking about the wrong things, like Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Nobody is talking about the escapism from the current day, current politics, current crap that we are surrounded with in society, that was part of what made Star Wars so awesome. Instead, they want to inject all of that poison INTO Star Wars instead of letting Star Wars (the escapism) be Star Wars.

So many missed opportunities that could have made the sequels just a bit better.
Theory showed the clip of Leia hugging Rey after coming back from Starkiller base instead of embracing Chewie, that is definitely a movie sin, but to me a BIGGER missed opportunity was not showing Chewie have any conflicting emotions towards Ben/Kylo Ren and show some actual character growth.
Chewie would have been there when Leia gave birth to Ben. He would have helped protect Ben as a child. He would have played with Ben running around the Millennium Falcon. Imagine having these scenes as flashbacks as Chewie sees Kylo impale Han, not only the agony of seeing his best friend, someone he would consider family, die, but at the hands of this child he cared for and loved. Instead they immediately went for anger and having him shoot at Kylo, instead of showing some inner conflict and anguish over what he just saw. Or for the deleted scene of Kylo boarding the Falcon and flashback to his youth playing with Chewie, setting up the later scene. IMO it would have made more sense for Finn or Rey to shoot Kylo than Chewie who I would've had hesitate, which would later be mirrored in Ep 8 where Kylo didnt shoot at Leia's ship, instead in his hesitation one of the pilots among his wingmen did.

Agree on everything you said. It seems like so many things about this movie has been a mess behind the scenes, as well as how it’s been talked about. While I still think the movie may get made, I feel they need a complete mulligan on the team working on it, as well as the script.

What is really concerning is that they act as if there shouldn’t be any criticism… you can’t please anybody… I know people who have been to the Sistine Chapel and said that it was overrated… people will always criticize… the problem is when most of the people are criticizing you and you don’t change.

-make Ray the best as ever without any reason
-use cameos so people feel nostalgic
-use cameos to hide any plot holes
-introduce absurd powers that just look cool
-introduce new lore braking mechanics that just make no sense
-have only women as the new perfect jedi
-make men the bad guys
-use the EU without compensating to the original authors
Do this to make an incredible politically correct movie. Also add gay people and women of color who must look strong without reason.

Here's an idea. Disney owns National Geographic. Why don't they make a Star Wars/Blue Planet type show where they look at different animal species on different planets with Admiral Akbar (retired, lol) doing the voice over like David Attenborough. I would watch that on repeat if it was done realistically.

Said it elsewhere, but there was an interview Daisy did sometime ago about this trilogy, and her body language was definitely telling that she wasn't all that keen on taking part in it.
She even mentioned that she was in the process of making her own film when Kennedy basically made her the offer.
I dont hold anything against Daisy, honestly, as she probably saw this as a way of financing her own project, but if this does fall through (which is a big possibility with KK being seen as a money pit now), I can see Ridley simply going back to making her film, which is a far better option than being associated with this dead and rotting brand.
Just make a movie called "X Wing vs. Tie Fighter". Focus the story on the best tie squad chasing an X Wing squad on a mission. Presenting the story of the pilots on both sides. Ending on maybe the Blattle of Endor.

I LOVED Daisy Ridley’s performance as Rey. I think she’s a promising actress with a bright career ahead of her. She just played a bad character that was poorly written by writers and directed by directors that just don’t understand SW, and I have a scary feeling that they don’t WANT to.

We are almost 5 years since the last SW film. The fact that no movies are even in production and the sequel trilogy was a disaster shows how Disney has mishandled the franchise. None of the other announced movies will ever come out

Rey movie sounds like another case of "creative differences" with Kathleen Kennedy, even the projects that did make it to the big screen Rogue One, Rise of Skywalker and Solo had writers leave due to "creative differences" that if I'm not mistaken the only project that went smoothly was The Last Jedi.

When Daisy Ridley was announced back then, I (a dude) remember being so excited, after Luke and Anakin we would have a female protagonist, which meant new things for Star Wars. I also remember feeling joy because Daisy wasn't a known actress, which was on par to George's philosphy of not hiring too many famous people. When I watched TFA and realized JJ Abrams was carbon copying ANH, I was pissed but also hopeful. TFA wasn't a disaster, but copying ANH and making Rey defeat Kylo Ren while using a lightsaber for the first time pissed me off royaly. Again, I was hopeful, because JJ Abrams was only doing that movie. Then came Rian, who shat on Luke's legacy and showed the world once and for all that Kathleen Kennedy and her minions were the worst thing to happen to Star Wars. Yet, somehow, fhey found a way to call themselves the victims, and the fans bigots against Rose Tico, Rey and Finn. It's heartbreaking that a meaningful piece of art like Srar Wars was treated like that. Until this woke trend goes away, Star Wars is no more.
They need to pretend that Force Awakens and the other two steaming piles never happened, and then adapt Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy as the real episodes 7-9 (the way George Lucas wanted it).
Never would have thought I would be happy that a SW Project was cancelled, let alone several. The Force is real, for the Real Fans.
With Indy 5 and the Willow series bombing, Episode 10 would be DOA (maybe break even if Disney is lucky). With SW Toys/Merchandise failing to sell and a declining audience, I think Disney should just go ahead and sell off the franchise. They would get their money back (maybe), which they can use for something else.
How about recasting Luke,Leia and Han and continuing after Jedi?

Warwick Davis can't and never has been able to act. He's unwatchable. The weak script was a dagger, yeah.
I think an ND-5 D+ series (8 episodes) could be interesting. I haven't played Star Wars Outlaws, but the character design of the BX droid is the only thing that stood out to me about that game. The droids in game backstory seems kinda lame, but the droid could make for some interesting material. Going from CIS commando to being a independent droid mercenary. Watching the events after Order 66, realizing that was the play all along, witnessing the ill treatment and decommissioning of the clones as the Empire is established. Watching Saw Guerra's attacks on the Empire and his gross disregard for lives. Overtime evolving a more "organic" personality from the full on surgical robotic commando after years of interacting meatbags in a "Man on Fire" storyline involving the child or children of some crimeboss he is acting as a bodyguard for. I think that could be pretty awesome.
Just imagine that. Cancelled.

I remember seeing the trailer for Rise of Skywalker and realizing that I just didn't care about anyone in it much less want to see their story's supposed finale.
They had dismantled the setting and failed to build anything to replace it. Disney Lucasfilm has idea how to come up with a vision for a story or setting. They just have vague ideas that they try to rush out as soon as possible. Of course this Rey movie, the culmination of their lack of creativity, would inevitably collapse on itself.
I can only feel bad for Daisy Ridley. Just another Disney Lucasfilm victim...

If at the beginning of the movie, someone asked Rey what her name is, and she said Rey Palpatine, or just Rey, and said she kept her real name to be true to herself, that would be the first step towards redemption. That would make The Rise of Skywalker title obsolete, but it would be a good first step.

I think Daisy Ridley was a perfect casting for Star Wars. Adam Driver and the others as well. Its just that they gave them absolutely nothing to work with. Doesn't matter how good the actor is if the story, script, and direction are terrible.

I know it's a hot take in the fandom but I think the right story can redeem Rey. I don't mind but it's a huge task to create a GREAT story to redeem Rey for the fandom.
As a big comic geek, I really was not a fan of Thor for a long time... Until Jason Aaron's God of Thunder. It's a shame what Love and Thunder became... Again with the artistic vandalism.

Lucasfilm Never Officially Confirmed When Rey's New Jedi Order Movie Would Come Out. But never officially announced a release date for New Jedi Order. This inherently means that it cannot be 'delayed.' But No, Rey's New Jedi Order Movie Hasn't Been Canceled.
This is how a Rey movie would go:
Rey as a jedi teacher to her students: the force exists, now figure things out for yourselves
Without further explanation or example the students can now use force push and pull, Jedi mind tricks and can use a light sabre like they have always used one. End of movie
Well yes… the female / minority ones would pick it up instantly, I guess any white males would really struggle.
There's one important question that must be put in Hollywood's DEI checklist. "Is the story better if a straight, white man played the part?" And I tell you, if we got Roy Palpatine, the Disney Trilogy's will remain the same. That's the problem with modern hollywood. They concern themselves more with the gender and race of the character that's in the project they're making, nobody stopped to ask if the story was any good.

If Disney could help themselves I’d love to see daisy ridley return as Rey, she did a really good job with what she was given (I’d also not really blame her if she didn’t want to come back). If I trusted Disney to actually not put an agenda first I’d love to see them return to Rey and other sequel characters to salvage what they can. There is potential there, they just need to stop getting in their own way.
