Dr Paul Lam, a family physician and tai chi teacher, offers a gift of health. He has designed a special 5-minute tai chi program for everyone to improve immunity and relieve stress. Based on traditional tai chi and enhanced by medical science and his 40 years of teaching experience, this program is easy to learn and effective for health.
Dr Lam will start teaching a seated breathing exercise (Qigong), followed by 3 warmup exercises, then a four-movement tai chi set, and ending with 3 cool-down exercises.
Dr Lam will show viewers where to find out more about what tai chi is, what are the health benefits, how tai chi works, and the good ways to learn and develop tai chi at his Online Tai Chi Lessons website (www.onlinetaic...) and with the Tai Chi for Health Institute (www.taichiforhealthinstitute.org). These websites provide a wealth of information and learning material.

Hi Dr. Lam, I am just starting with your program tai chi for beginners on the advice of my personal trainer. My brother had a serious stroke and has to use a cane and his left hand is almost useless. His balance is a concern as well. Is your program for rehabilitation something a beginner could do after a stroke with such serious limitations as my brother? Thanks you for your years of hard work to bring this to all of us. Jan

i know it is tradition to wear baggy clothes for tai chi but when you are teaching and demonstrating, it is better to wear clothes that show what the body is actually doing.
