Mr and Mrs Seuss, you guys are absolutely amazing. What you do for these magnificent animals and their neighbors is truely inspiring. Much much love for Bart and his sister Bump. I hope to meet you someday, thank you for being such an inspiration and advocate for these beautiful animals.
I've worked with grizzlies in captivity and found them to actually be quite predictable. Their communication centers around body language, so that's pretty easy to interpret with an understanding of how they use it. I've never worked with lions and tigers but I know a couple of people who have and they both feel that bears are easier to get along with.
This is no ordinary exotic owner- Doug Seuss has been training bears that have been in Hollywood movies for decades, he had a very famous bear, the first Bart the bear, that was in dramas with Anthony Hopkins, and other actors. The first Bart also starred in the " Great Outdoors" with John Candy, one of my favorite movies .
Bart Has Changed The Way I See BEARS :-) They Are Really Awesome Creatures . The Wild Ones Too . And After All Humans Are The Most Dangerous Creatures On Earth Not Animals .
They are both not domesticated animals and apex predators. They will NEVER be fully tame, but you have to keep socializing them and keep them fed :) They are the most amazing animals to be around, but you constantly have to read their bodylanguage, which comes natural after a while. Tigers can be extremely loyal to their human parents. Just like bears. But the instinct is there so it is not a job for all of us. Just some people are skilled enough to do this.
Wow. I very rarely see exotic owners with bears. I have heard that bears are more unpredictable and harder to read, facial emotions etc. What do you think about that?
Fool. I wanna I wanna I wanna....ugh. these bears are tragically separated by their mothers at young age by mostly trophy hunters. It is not a teddybear. It is an apex predator, and these caretakers are very aware of that and invest all their time in socialising them. They are absolutely amazing, but just a handful of people are capable of doing this and to SACRAFICE their own free time. Your remark is so ignorant and stupid.
I totally disagree. Tigers who are adopted at very early age (again by f*king trophy hunters) can be extremely caring and loyal to their care taker. I am a bear person, but I know a lot of succes stories with tigers, lions and cheeta's.
bart2 is puppy dog tame against big Bart, you can really see the evolved knowledge from Mr. Seus but also Bart1 had something special which i miss on little Bart
It's always the sad and cruel story of f*cking trophy hunters (I have NOTHING against hunting for meat if done correctly) who leave cubs behind. They are doomed to die, since mama bear takes care of them or at least 3 to 4 years. But it is heartwarming to see there are many good people, who treat animals in such a loving way. Bart is awesome and so beautiful. I can't help it, I have an enormous weak spot for bears. I am often in the wild in bear country in East Europe and Russia (bear country number 1) and NEVER endured problems. I camped in the wild for years in a row. You just need to know their rules and give them a save feeling. Not come close for that perfect shot ad made yourself heard in the woods during hikes. It is funny, When I walk with my dogs and cats (yeah, they walk with us) I know bears are watching, smelling or hearing us. But they are invisible. I had visits from bears at my caravan, who were just extremely curious. But they approached me (I was no threat approaching them) and I just use a loud calm voice. It is magical...they stay away 30 meters, 100 feet...and stand on their legs, sniffing and being soooo curious. I have my food double air tight sealed in special "bear prove" containers and watch careful if I am not camping close to a carcass. Bears don't eat it at one time, they come back for it often. But honestly, the diet of mountain bears who don't have acces to salmon or other fish, consists for 90% of berries, roots, worms, insects (even ants) and small mammals like mice. I am certainly not reckless and always stay safe. But I am without guns or rifles. Just me, bearspray and my two American Bulldogs. (who are leashed in tge woods ofcourse) Just use your brains and respect their rules. Gosh I love and admire them
It pains me whenever I see a fake-looking CG bear in a movie, when this ursid thespian is available. Want that authentic feeling? Go with the real thing!
Hey Gigi pennington I got a HONEY PIE 🥧 for you MISTER 🐻 BEAR you deserve it BEARS UNDERSTAND NO HARM only Rude people get a Taste of a Bears Relentless Beatings. 🤎🌲🐻🌲🤎

This is amazing! I neveer noticed of big these bears were, my god! It's scary looking at them.. Are bears harder then tigers to raise?

Wow a giant 🐻

i think when you raise a bear cub you can read it
I want a pet bear now

So awesome
Is he a grizzly?
I think so yes. I think the difference between grizzlies and brown bears is that only grizzlies have the hump in their back.
@@michaeljenner2325 Bart is a Kodiak brown bear, which is a subspecies of a grizzly.
Tigers are much more difficult, both to raise and to work with. Bears tend to develop bonds faster and easier than the big cats.

Probably Little Bart . I think Bart died before the GO-Pro hit the market
0:02 I hope I never see the sight of that in the wild ... yikes, can you imagine the stink of that
I’d appreciate it with a maw like that. 🥴
Why can't _I_ have a bearfriend?

What is even more absurd is a CGI dog.
But even with Bart is in a movie, there has been use of CG for certain scenes for safety reasons.

Uno de estos mató a un invitado del entrenador...así que yo no jugaría mucho con ellos a veces nos creemos muy listos pero...
I think it'll just take one bad day for a grumpy Bart to eat Doug.
Thai Mac
Eat Doug? Brown bears are not man-eaters!
