Are there still Orcas coming into the Fjords of northern Norway to hunt for the herrings? Will it be much harder to locate them and to see them in the water? Is it worth the effort to go there and swim in the freezing cold waters to get amazed? So many questions before we went out there at the very beginning of the season in late October. And Guys, really … we don’t find the right words … so we made a video about it together with Orcanorway.info.

My dream is to go see Orcas in their natural habitat. Growing up close to San Diego i grew up going to Sea World and my favorite part was seeing Shamu. When I grew older I realized how cruel it was to have majestic Orcas in captivity and the reality of how they were captured. So before I die, I’d like to see them the way they’re actually meant to live. Hopefully one day!

I’ve never been so overwhelmed with emotional joy. Thank you for recommending me this Behind The Mask. The beauty that you guys portray for the love of what you guys do is so inspiring. For me, Orcas mean so much to me. When I was about 4-6 years old, I remembered a dream I had that was I was drowning in the ocean and an orca came and saved me and I never seen an orca before in my life. So when I was able to see one in real life (aka TV), I was like, “Hey I seen this mammal before in my dreams”. Thank you and thank you for spreading your love and awareness to these beautiful beings.

Wants to wear my suit and jump into the water right now (but im into the Andes Range :P ) , i love dive, i know that feeling of freedom and peace that the deep blue give to us, im loving all your videos, im sharing it with another dive friends and someones that never try, yet... long life to the ocean ! happy bubbles for all!

Because the divers go into the Orca's food. They should stay away and swim with the Ocra ONLY when Orca swim. Not in the middle of eating. You can see how Orca are waiting for the "kill" while the divers are still there. This is like me putting my tiny camera into your plate when you are just about to eat. Think about it. Well Robin, after all you are a diver too.

Yes they are, hunting the herring! It's quite hard to get a shot of them eating though.

Great footage! Some explanation of what the humpback whale involvement was relative to the orcas swimming around them. Were both species going for the herring or were the Orcas living up to their name as killer whales (whale killers)?
