If you perfect parry the first hit of OD Condor Spire, you can also drive impact after to absorb the next 2 hits for a huge punish.

Something to note about the rashid pressure is that he says diff lines when he does the med and heavy version
This is how I’ve been identifying it! If he says “oh yeah!”, that means oh yeah, it’s heavy and I can hit a button. Likewise if he says “mix-up!” it’s a real mix and I’ve gotta guess.
True ! But I don't really like this approach as in tournament you can get sometimes either the JP or Eng voices (you can still get used to both version but still), or you just don't have good setup with headphones and all. The best approach is still the OS as described.

5:29 another good option would be to perfect parry the first hit of OD condore spire, then drive impact, the two remaining hits won't be enough to break your DI, and you'll destroy more of her drive gauge. this option is especially appealing if you know it'll put her on burnout.

I never even thought to attempt to counter Condor Spire. Just assumed it would automatically win the interaction. My reactions are definitely not on point, tho lol
I also didn't know you could follow up a PP on a multi-hit attack with your own attack.
I only recently discovered through playing against a Lily that you can parry the condor spire on reaction.
Yeah, sounds crazy. I was locked in on my reactions that day I guess. But I saw her distinctive forward lean animation and press parry. Don't get much, but also don't lose drive gauge.
Drive reversal is a great option if you miss the perfect parry. You trade 2 bars for their 2 but they also spent a wind stock

Useful and concise, great video. Sometimes you don't run into a character enough to think about a specific counter, and just end up respecting things when you shouldn't.

Lily's overhead also beats Chun's Hazanchu since she does a little jump.
If you perfect parry the first hit of lily's 3 hit spire you can go into di and you don't even suffer the perfect parry scaling

great video! I'd like to add that drive reversal is a pretty good option against windstock OD Spire too, since it's a meter trade but she also loses the wind, and it gives you a bit of space

Chun li flip is pretty easy to deal with block high and you can attack or grab her. You can hit and juggle her out of it if ur woke enough. You can di the heavy flip but I usually do the medium one if they do that cause I can just barely di it back. You could try going for the read on the medium one I guess. Thank you for your guides! Can you check a cammy setup? 5HP target combo with 5HK 5HK into medium hooligan i think (not a cammy main), then they can manual time the overhead or autotime the sweep all the best man great vids
It's generally a real mix that you have to take since the low goes under reversals (lab your reversals to it). Parry isn't a horrible option since both options are meaty and the only way to get hooligan grab is charge heavy which you can react to. She can drop to bait reversals and block but the timing is pretty strict to still make the mix look convincing. Tbh no idea how it interacts with wakeup Dr but I would guess it will hit Cammy in most situations
Feel like "Fake Pressure" could be a whole video on its own!

Hi there, my questions might sound stupid but what is an “option select” ? How do you do that ? I’ve tried many times but couldn’t hit Rashid when he does is MP Arabian cyclone :/

Option Select:
A situation where performing the same inputs can lead to several different outcomes depending on how the characters interact.
Btw you don’t hit him out of MP cyclone, you hit him out of HP cyclone

Hey man is it alright if you can do an Anti-JP guide? Similar to your other ones where it lists what JP could do and what you could do after certain stuff? I'm playing JP and want to know what people could do VS my gameplan :)

chris can you please do a video what can we do to avoid getting delayed tech.. as an example when we finish akuma combos with his sweep we can double dash and still be +4 right and after that what i try to do is pressure with cr.mp or go for a throw but delayed tech can nullify both options 😢😢 what should i do to avoid this
shimmy beats delay tech throw, so if both strike and throw wont work, condition the opponent to tech your throw and then after the 2 dashes do a back dash into 5hp

If perfect parry, ex dp, or super are the only counters to a move then forget it just block lol. Some moves are just busted
Many moves in this game are balanced around parry so you need to lab against them in training mode if you want to become a stronger player

I don't understand Option Select?
Option select means that one series of inputs covers two options depending on what they do. One example would be a delay throw tech where you block for a moment, then input throw tech-if they hit you, you’ll block it and be in block stun so the throw won’t come out, but if they throw you, you will tech the throw.
@@femshepFGC wow, that has changed everything I know about the game. Are there other ones?
@@TekkLuthor There’s a lot of them. Some are more general like delay tech and others are more situational like the delay attack option suggested in this video for countering the Aki mix. One of my favorites is that if your opponent his you with a medium button into drive rush cancel on block, you can immediately input a super-if they did a true block string after the first hit on block, you will block their next attack because you’re still in block stun. But if they did ANYTHING with a gap, your super will come out and punish counter them. I won a set in bracket last weekend because Ed went for 5MP on block DRc while I was in the corner, I input level 2, he didn’t go for a true string, so the super came out and he died.
@@femshepFGC I noticed that last one but never knew it was a thing. I'd usually do it by accident. Basically what you're explaining is that during a move where you have to hold, you can add another input and the program will respond accordingly based on the attack. So the moves with the gaps, use block but input the supper and as soon as that gape presents itself the super comes out
@@TekkLuthor I was referring specifically to drive rush cancels off a blocked medium. Just going for super in a string that MIGHT have a gap but they could just stop pressing buttons and block is very risky.
Good advice but I can't lab Rashid's rolling assault without paying the DLC (Which is absolute bullshit)
Unfortunately tournament players have to buy all the DLC for this reason

@@Jagurda1 Go in replays and watch her divekicks, I bet she is negative on 90% of them, if she doesn't hit the bottom of your legs her divekick is no positive, I haven't tested it myself but jp also has crazy air invincibility on his standing heavy kick, it should easily beat her divekick if she's not right up on your face
@@dddaaa6965 Thanks for the advice, but this is more complicated. HK has a good hitbox, but it's slow. It cannot be done by reaction. And waving them mindlessly is very risky. He also only has 4 active frames. There are a lot of situations where a delay or a late dive kick interrupts him. EX Dive Kick has no countermeasures without DP.
