      Thank you for this! I didn’t know that and I’ve been searching for a way to improve my esophagus!!!👏🏻👏🏻❤️. I’ve had GERD for about 30 years and in the last 8+ years figured out I have silent reflux which gives no symptoms of heartburn. Don’t want to have endoscopy done so I’m doing everything I can through diet/nutrition/lifestyle to heal whatever damage might be in there! Thank you again!!👏🏻

    Its best to get organic as much as possible cuz there are so many chemicals they spray with and its not good to drink a cup full
    Of chemicals also seeds have nutrients as well. I’ve juiced over 20 years and not one seed has been an issue. Juice on !

    Firstly, thanks for sharing the video. I love that juicer!!!😐This is a good reminder for me, as I'm currently on a quest to heal my gut lining. It's been a long journey of trial and errors and so I'm reverting back to good old cabbage juice that Dr Norman. W. Walker talked about in his juice book (1970) copywrite. Cabbage juice is excellent for constipation as well and some people may find it gives them gas, but he said it's because it's dissolving waste matter in the colon and when that's cleared out, the juice won't cause gas anymore. My gut dysbiosis is so bad that I can't have any fruits at the moment for the bad opportunistic microorganisms that take advantage of the sugar in the fruits, feed on it and then proliferate. I'm having to knock them down first, bring back balance in my gut and then gradually re-introduce the fruits and things like dairy and gluten. But this will be way later on when my gut lining is repaired. I'm also using probiotics and plantain herb for this, which is one of those safe herbs for long term use that also helps to repair the gut. Not the plantain resembling the bigger version of bananas we Afro-Caribbean's are fond of eating, though. It's the herb plantain:
    www.weedsandwildmedicine.co.uk/blog-1/plantain-the-sacred-herb-under-our-feet
    commonwealthherbs.com/plantain-herb-of-the-week/
    As with anything, I start slow and at the lowest dose, observe and either build up or reduce or even stop, according to how my body responds. We are all different and so what may work for one person, may not work for the next. I tried l-glutamine supplement, which is touted for its gut-healing quality, but it did not work for me or many others. Pathogens (which are bad microorganisms contributing to gut health issues), are clever and they protect themselves in what is called biofilm which is what makes it a challenge for the body to get rid of them, but herbs like plantain break though their biofilm so that the immune system can easily get rid of them.
    By the way, I mixed half red cabbage and half white cabbage. It's not the tastiest drink, but it's naturally high in l-glutamine which is the best form of glutamine the body can truly use and benefit from without the adverse effects that l-glutamine supplements can have. It's why cabbage juice is so potent in efficacy for the gut. If one doesn't have such a state of the arts juicer or similar cold-pressed juicers, the cabbage can be blended in a blender with a little water, strain through a sieve and drink immediately on an empty stomach at least half hour before eating.
    Wishing everyone good health. It's a journey!!🥰

      Ty for sharing this. So I’m currently in the same situation. I drink vegetable broth with chia seeds and eat a lot of cabbage almost 4 times a week. I am taking cistus incanous tea for the biofilm, wormwood, black walnut and ginger to help with parasites and nausea which I have daily. Eating a lot of cucumbers and hummus. So I must ask, what else are u eating ? I’m down to 6 foods I rotate and with this process of elimination I hope to get better soon. I’d love to keep in touch bc no one around me knows anything about this yet I feel it’s an epidemic happening. Especially in our community because we are whatever we were told to eat.

      @@Nuverselive My pleasure, indeed :) and thanks for sharing your story. Yes, this gut health issue is a major problem nowadays due to many contributory factors. It can be fixed with the right approach and tools, but from what I've seen and heard, it can take some time to heal the gut, depending on how severe the dysbiosis is. One of things I've also incorporated is fulvic and humic mineral complex. Listen to Caroline Alan on BEAM minerals. She is now interviewed a lot on various platforms for her thorough and in-depth research into humic and fulvic minerals and how they play an integral role in health, including gut health. There is a term in the health arena called 'the hidden hunger' which relates to the cells in our body's need or crave for minerals in order for it to function optimally. However, it has to be the right kind of mineral complex and she is an expert in this field. There is hope.

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Juices are meant to drink once you have made the juice; however, you can store them in a tightly sealed glass jar anywhere from 48-72 hours to maintain its freshness and nutrients inside; and this varies depending upon what the juice is made with. Juices made with citrus tend to last longer in the frig as long it has a tightly sealed lid. Now, if you're considering to drink it longer than the timeframe I mentioned above (2-3 days later), you can freeze the juice to ensure that the vitamins and nutrients inside are maintained.

      You're correct. When juicing, you're only receiving the liquids from the fruits and veggies, which is why it is wise to diversify or alternate between juicing and when making smoothies. However, you can still get your fiber from the pulp. Use it inside a nice soup, a salad, smoothie, bake with it, freeze it. There are so many things that you can use the pulp for. I hope this helps!

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      During my healing phase for leaky gut, I drank 16-24 ozs per day until I obtained the results that I needed and was looking for. And of course, I got creative by diversifying and adding other leafy greens, cucumbers and celery.

      Raw cabbage is 92% of water, which means there really isn't a need to add water when juicing. What are you trying to juice?

    Hi, when you say you were diagnosed with leaky gut, how did that happen exactly? In the US it's not to be found in insurance lists, and I think that's true of most countries. I've gone through USA's/Medicare's icd-code-lists

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ma'am/Sir, I was diagnosed with leaky gut/Intestinal permeability following an array of various testing, resulting in food allergies, sensitivities that were performed by licensed practitioners and doctors.

    • @germank7924
      @germank7924 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thank you, but can you find an insurance code for this diagnosis? I can't. It means that either the docs need to give another diagnosis to insurance, or receive no support from insurance/Medicare

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're welcome. Different medical professionals use different terms and codes, perhaps, which depends on the type of medicine they are practicing. Holistic and Naturopathic doctors use the term and diagnosis as "intestinal permeability, intestinal hyperpermeability and or leaky gut. Conventional doctors may use the term "gastrointestinal". Unfortunately, I don't have the code for this condition.

      Always remember to start small; one shot, small glass a day to see how your body responds to the juice/drink; if your body responds well, increase to the next glass size up (8oz). If your body doesn't respond well, then of course, you will not want to continue drinking this cabbage juice, in stead, you will want to consult with a licensed medical care provider.

      Well, we wouldn't want to by the bathroom all day. Most individuals suffer from this same gasy, bloated issue. It is due to the sulfur in cabbage, which ferments in the GUT that causes gas. I didn't find this issue with juicing it.

    Why do you have to take out the seeds?

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some seeds are arsenic/toxic, which is why I remove some seeds from certain fruits, out of caution. Although the seeds may contain low levels of arsenic, I still remove them out of caution (Apples, Grapes, and Pears). Lemon seeds are fine to juice; however, in some of my juices I will remove them, depending upon the juicer I was using at the time. I hope this helps!

    How long did it take you to see a difference?

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Thanks for asking! When I got fed up and was ready to make a change, I went full force. Meaning I had to change my entire diet; not that I was a bad eater but in order for me to heal my body, naturally from multiple uterine fibroids, I had to divorce myself from many foods that weren't supporting my internal body. That journey is what led me into the holistic space of living. So, to answer question, everything is based on bio-individuality, meaning it may have taken me six months to drop a whole dress size, which turned out to be mostly inflammation/toxins, it may take you or the next person two months to a year. It is all depended upon where you are in your health journey. If you'd like to talk further, feel free to schedule a Wellness Strategy Call with me here. calendly.com/coachreneewroten

      The herb, plantain would be good for U.C. read my comment on it. Cabbage juice is good for overall gut health as it's rich in natural l-glutamine ( an amino acid) and l-glutamine helps repair damage gut lining for which U.C. is just one of many gut health problems of gut-lining damage.

Drink on an empty stomach an hour before meals, up to three times a day. It's one of those very safe herbs that can be taken long term without side effects and very good for all sorts of gut health issues.

    • @TheHolisticBoss
      @TheHolisticBoss  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Gloria; don't feel bad. You're not the only one who suffers from gas after eating cruciferous veggies. Cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts and a few others, including beans have a tendency to leave people feeling gassy. Without going into too much detail here, cruciferous veggies are loaded with fiber. Certain types of carbohydrates are difficult to digest by the small intestine. Cruciferous veggies contain raffinose, which is a sugar that can be hard to digest in the human body. Taking a "good" and reputable GUT probiotic is helpful.
      I hope this helps everyone!!
