    When I get a fancy modern car with fly by wire I'll get one. Actually my 06 Crown Vic was wire throttle, while it was ok it was nothing like my 04 Jeep GC, the last year for the old school cable throttle. Still has the best response around, nothing beats a direct throttle connection.

It has never given me a dead pedal or put my vehicle into limp mode. I use it everyday that I drive it and change the settings to what I’m doing and it feels like a different vehicle over stock. ▪️ActiveSafety failsafe circuitry
      ▪️Gear Sense, detect when you are in reverse gear to activate the patented Reverse Safety feature.
      ▪️Transmission select, to toggle and adjust PedalMonster between manual vs automatic transmissions selections.
      ▪️Reverse Safety returns pedal to stock in reverse gear
      ▪️Adjustable Low-Speed Trim controls how fast sensitivity is added at slow speeds
      ▪️Module powered by +12v via OBD, not low-overhead pedal circuit like Pedal Commander and others.

    You guys make the best stuff. I have a supercharged Tundra with a stout 4.88 rear. My tuner (Bully Dog) provides a twitchy throttle setting on top of an already hyper, Toyota stock throttle. As you imagine, when I just touch the pedal, it jumps. Combined with 4.88 rear and posi, it brings a smile to my face every time. It feels like a big diesel dumpling it’s torque at once. So, I would get the pedal monster and set it to “race!” 😆 If I had a diesel, I’d endow the truck with a full Banks system. It’s the only way to make huge, safe power.

    Haha have actually experienced that with my pedal commander. On our Kia minivan the pedal delay is dumb it lugs so bad specially up a hill and the pedal commander was the only available. The first time it happened my van was bucking like a wild bull, got it updated and lasted two weeks before it was bucking again. Tossed it in the dumpster. Have had luck with sprint booster, but for my f150 I’m getting the pedal monster.

    I literally ground away some of the plastic that stops the pedal moving down and got the throttle opening up to 94% when floored.
    The pedal now goes further down toward the ground AND I can feel more power. Scanner also shows higher fuel duty at full throttle.

    Great video thanks for sharing - Lets say I have my Pedal Monster set up so when I have 20% pedal deflection and Pedal Monster is set to give me 40% power at that pedal position. Wouldn't it be just as easy to just push the throttle down to 40% to accomplish the same power and not bother with the cost of a Pedal Monster and not have to worry about reverse.
    Regardless of Pedal Monsters sensitivity or mode, your getting the same exact results and power the stock throttle provides. Pedal Monster just gives the driver an illusion he is getting more power, when all he has to do is push the pedal down a bit further to obtain the same exact results and power. '
    While I'm a firm believer in most all of your products, I just can't wrap my head around any real use for a Pedal Monster when I can do the same thing with my stock throttle.
    Regards - M.J.Mas

    I had a 2008 cobalt manual that had terrible throttle mapping. If you were rolling, it would go into a different throttle map that would make it dangerous to drive.
    Imagine youre at a stop sign and when you let off the brake the car rolls backwards, I mean an inch, the throttle map would soften and you would stall the car.
    I had the same problem with my 2009 corolla, that mysteriously disappeared when I unplugged the Abs pump and disabled the vehicle speed sensors. When the ecm thought the car wasn't rolling, the throttle response was almost too sharp.

    I recently purchased a PedalMonster for my 2018 Colorado z71. I'm enjoying it very much, but I wish that the app would allow the user to create and save custom, independent settings for each configuration. As it is right now, if I make a change in one mode - city for example - it also affects the other two modes - sport & track.

    Do you guys or are you going to make a version for Mercedes Benz or just the manufacturer that are aren’t built well. My throttle on my C450 isn’t too bad, but our Jeep and Corvette need some serious thc because we don’t build anything but junk here in the states and I’m not gonna waste my time on them. But I’d love to dial in my Benz with one of these. Please let me know when you guys make one for German cars! I’ll be there first one to buy one!

    I recently bought a retired police vehicle and the throttle response seems pretty good. But I cannot find definitive information on the actual engine tune. Like all of the RPO codes they are frustratingly vague and that goes not only for the engine specs but for brakes, and suspension as well. So I am just guessing when it comes to what performance "improvements" would actually be an improvement over what comes with the 9C1 package. This little LFX will happily spin the front wheels once the Traction control is turned off but I have no way of knowing if the PedalMonster will actually be an improvement.

    • @bankspower
      @bankspower  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ed, remember, the PedalMonster doesn't add power. It adds throttle response. Meaning, it changes the pedal position relative to the actual throttle by way of the ECM. What it will do is add responsiveness, making it more fun to drive.

      @@bankspower I'm considering tuning my truck. The best gas around me is 91 octane and it's not even good 91. I have a supercharged 2020 mustang gt with more than enough power to go have fun with. Normally I just run 87 octane in my truck as in the daily driver however in a couple months I'll be pulling a vehicle about 1,200 miles so I'll probably put in 91 at that point. Do you guys offer a 91 octane Towing tune for my truck?

    Wouldn't you want track mode to be the most linear throttle response? With all that exponential dialed into the gas pedal it seems like it would be hard to accurately modulate the throttle around a race track.

    • @bankspower
      @bankspower  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When we refer to "track", we're referring to road racing, not 1/4 mile. You can completely customize each mode so you have plenty of modulation. Your type of engine will determine which mode you choose. For example, with a turbo engine, you wouldn't want a linear response. You want the majority of the response early to keep it in boost.

    • @alexligenza7328
      @alexligenza7328 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bankspower Interesting I feel like it would be harder to control wheel spin out of a corner with an aggressive throttle curve. Turbo applications do seem like they could benefit from this but may end up lugging the turbo at low rpm's.

      Alex Ligenza Alex, These are adjustable from initial throttle hit (how hard they hit, when they hit and when they taper off). You can make them do anything you want. They will be MUCH more accurate than ANY factory accelerator pedal, in any facet.

    Okay, so appaerantly I just crawled out from under my rock and just learned of this technology. My 08 Colorado is the first vehicle Ive ever owned thats drive by wire. Ive been researching the different devices and all the reviews and videos, good and bad, including rhe different "beliefs" of how these things work. So, my question is this.....
    At first I got the impression that these devices did 2 things, increase communication time(response time) from the PPS's to the ECM, and also from the ECM to throttle plate motor. And second, modifies throttle plate opening speed to be proportional to throttle position speed(I read somewhere that OEMs slow the deployment speed of the throttle plate motor to a certain max speed so it can only open up at a certain max rate even if you floor it).
    Then Ive been seeing videos where people's testing shows that all these things really do is modify the throttle plate position relative to pedal position. In other words.....
    (Stock: 20% pedal=30 degrees throttle plate open
    W/ device: 20%pedal=45 degrees throttle plate open.)
    First, is this basically the case??
    And if so, is that all the Banks module is doing as well? I get that the Banks one is more advanced and probably modifies in an active variable fashion based on trim settings, but is that still the basic idea of how it works?
