I got very lucky with the language partner I found. She's super enthusiastic about practicing english and our schedules allow for it so we're able to talk for several hours most days. My progress skyrocketed when we started talking regularly. It's like having a private tutor but you pay by offering the same service to them.
And the best part really is the friendship you develop. It's unlike any other I've had. Even as a super beginner really. I couldn't speak at all when she and I started talking. a vocabulary of maybe 500 words or less. She was much better at english than i was korean so we could have simple conversations in english and use translator apps, but we were still able to have a great time and learn a lot doing that.
After just a few months of that, the simple conversations are now in korean and we're having much more advanced english conversations. I heavily advocate for finding a good language partner.
That’s amazing - finding a language partner like that is a diamond in the rough! I hope you’re having a great language learning week!
How did tou find her? Like was it just through social media or another kind of app? I might try to find a language partner
How did you find her?
@@stormiiskii hey so im not sure how that person did it but i personally use hellotalk! u put in the language(s) u speak and the language(s) u wanna learn into the system, and then people from ur target country can message u! i made a lot of korean friends that way, i teach them japanese and they teach me korean :D plus i've never gotten any weird messages, people are really there to learn
may i know how did you find her? is it on some sort of language app
I am just now starting to learn Korean. A few years ago, my oldest granddaughter introduced me to K-Pop and K-dramas - I am hooked! So I have decided to start learning Korean so I do not need subtitles and so she and I can communicate just between us. We are also hopping to take a trip to Korea in a few years. I have found your channel and the resources you mentioned to be very helpful. Thank you!
That’s amazing! I love that you’re following this new found hobby and learning something cool along the way! I 📱🌎 I hope you have so much fun conversing with your granddaughter in your newly acquired language. 💬
And here’s to an exciting future trip to Korea! 🇰🇷

After being so on and off learning korean, this video is so structured and useful and I am so determined now, Thank youuuu!
Yay! I’m so glad! If you need any help, just let me know and I’ll help you the best I can! You got this 🎉👏
Taking the TOPIK is such a great idea. Since I'm learning just because I want to finally be able to properly speak it (all my Korean friends speak English just fine and I've successfully traveled in Korea before with my rudimentary Korean), it never occurred to me to take the TOPIK. But that's a great concrete goal to work for
Thank you for writing this! Your words mean so much! It’s awesome that you traveled and used the language in real life - that takes some real skill! 😃
I hope you achieve your goal whether it’s topik or otherwise! And I hope my videos can help you along your journey! 🤍
i’ve been learning korean on and off since 2016, constantly losing motivation and giving up. i wish i had stuck at it when i was actually still young. my brain is genuinely like a stone now rather than a sponge lol. i really wanna try this year and go from beginner to intermediate. i mean this video has been in my watch later for months and i’ve only just clicked on it. i don’t know why i’m so scared to try and it’s been 9 years and i’m still scared to speak korean out loud lmao. but anyway! this video was so inspiring and made me wanna get my shit together so thank you
If you want more resources, I can offer recommendations. I've been studying since October 2023 after quitting Korean 3 times during middle school and then 9th grade. Now I'm almost 20 and am finally sticking to it. I am quite passionate about the resources I use because I don't hear anyone talk about them much. Except for my chosen textbook series. I chose Ewha and that's definitely popular lol But I'm not a textbook learner so I actually avoid it as much as possible.
My main two resources have been Teuida and YuSpeak (they're apps). You might have seen reviews of Teuida from years ago but the app is so different now that those don't do it any justice. Teuida is also completely free by the way. You get one key a day and it unlocks a single lesson. You'd just go in order and unlock them until you're done. There used to be 13 units but there are now 20. The app focuses on spoken everyday Korean and it has you basically act out scenes like a K-Drama for practice and you speak into your mic when prompted. It's amazing for confidence, plus it's really fun to act out lol. I'm on Unit 17 now and have spoken in Teuida almost 5,000 times. It's my favorite app by far.
YuSpeak is not free. It's $10 a month. But it covers a lot of vocabulary and grammar and promises to help you fully reach a TOPIK 3 level. That doesn't sound like a lot but there's thousands of words and hundreds of grammar to learn. It's a crap ton of content. I find it a bit boring, especially compared to Teuida. But I only comprehend Korean Grammar as well as I do thanks to YuSpeak. It's effective as long as you are processing what you're learning. And with the way the exercises are, you really do have to use your brain. It has left me mentally tired after exiting the app. I have over 36 hours in YuSpeak and I've had it since last May.
Anyways, I could share more if you want. If none of this is anything you care about, feel free to ignore me :)

I've been (seriously) learning Korean since Oct 2021, and my motto had been to make consistent though little efforts everyday so I can be as good as possible, simply because I'd love to utilise and experience the language in multiple ways. Initially to feed my ego I wished to learn it completely in a year but that didn't happen and I realized I'm not really in a hurry, so I am relishing the good feeling of learning Korean every single day.
But I thoroughly enjoyed the video and your honesty regarding your own language learning journey. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours!
그리고 지금은 유창하게 않지만난 전보다 한국어 말을 더 잘 핼 수 있어요. 미래에서 한국 사람처럼 한국말은 말 하고 싶어요. 그래서 더 연습 해야죠.

I think you're doing a great job - thank you for telling me your language story so far - I hope you'll continue to learn consistently and while having fun! Practice hard! I believe in you!
A truly top-notch advice right here! Your enthusiasm and motivation are infectious! Thank you! Keep up the great work and best of luck in your Korean language journey as well as your other adventures!
I really love the idea of just learning pronunciation first with Hangul!! Never really thought about it but I feel like it would make a beginner much more confident because even though you don't understand what is being said you can tell that the sounds are right (especially for us who are already consuming korean media so we kind of know how everyday conversations sound). So there is at least some sort of a moment where you can feel good about doing something right lol. Since you definately won't be able to see a lot of progress in other areas that early on.
Thanks for the motivation, I will definately be making a plan for 2025 based on your tips! Also, I have to say that you have a lovely speaking voice and a really calming presence. It is just so nice to listen to you xx
Yes! I've always found it discouraging trying to say a sentence with more grammar and not getting understood because of pronunciation. Plus they say that it's harder to unlearn bad habits - so a focus on good pronunciation from the beginning sounds pretty useful! I hope you're having an awesome learning journey - I recently posted this video that helps with speaking Korean, if you'd like to refer to it: th-cam.com/video/gIoxE_jYxCU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8qNK41mHxtJxWfQH Good luck and you got this! 🤍

I have been looking for a video like this for so long.I have never been able to make a schedule I just didn't know how to do it, especially for a language like korean that looks so difficult and so different from european languages.Recently I got the flu and I watched so many videos and there was this video where they just said that you can learn a language listening to everything in that language, it probably works IF you are baby because that's basically how I've learnt english without even trying. I started listening to english when I was in kindergarten but when you get older it's not that easy .So thank you❤ I'm definitely going to try this and I'm going to upload you every month since I'll start
I'm so excited for you - I'm so glad this was helpful and you're welcome here anytime you want to give updates to the community on your progress! Wishing you good studying for 2025! 🤍

The first one about not hiding it because no one cares is true in most cases however, my dad absolutely _grilled_ me.
We don't even live together and I wasn't even gonna tell him because I knew he'd be like this, but it somehow came up (idr how, he has ✨ways✨ as a parent oft does) and from there it was nothing but a slew of aggressive, badgering and condescending questions and no answer I could give was good enough for him. Not in a "learning a language is stupid" way though, but in an, "Are you moving there? If not why learn the language?" and "Why not learn Japanese, instead?" kind of "way".
The Japanese comment was a two factor comment, the first being that it was a language I was picking up like a decade ago, the other being, well, he ended up telling me about a coworker of his that visited Japan and liked it so much that once he came back to work he spent the next six months studying his ass off to learn Japanese, passed the tests and successfully moved to Japan with his wife, and then made subtly condescending statements about how he thinks Japanese would be better for me and how there's "nothing wrong with it" (I never said there was??? What I told him was that Korean just felt right and Japanese didn't, which he clearly couldn't understand) and shit like that. 🙄 Parents.
On the other hand, my mother, whom I actually live with, was like "COOL! I wanna see post-it notes labeling EVERYTHING in your target languages!!!" (a method I told her about) "But you won't understand it..." "So? I think it'd be so cool!" ... Parents 😂
And all my friends kinda just, put up with me randomly throwing Korean at them; only one asked questions with minimal interest and lots of support. So point is, while this point is mostly true, it's probably also good to know your audience. 😂
(I've now spent 30minutes on this comment that the two of you reading will only take maybe 30 seconds to read. I'm so frustrated rn at how much time this just took me imma quit ㅠㅠ)
First of all, I appreciate your comment so much! 🌸
And thank you for sharing your story with this - it’s crazy how much the people around us can have an impact on how we choose to live our life. I’m so happy for you that you persist in learning the language that feels right to you even with all the persuasion to take you other ways.
And you know, I don’t know your dad, but it sounds like maybe he was using your interest as a way to talk about something he found interesting. 🤔 Maybe next time he brings it up, you can turn the attention to his curiosity on Japanese, get him talking - maybe even ask him if he’d ever like to go to Japan? If he says yes, you could suggest to him to learn Japanese. 🇯🇵
Then he may end up discovering the love of language learning and you guys can talk about your separate languages through a shared language learning journey! ✨even so - I’m so happy your learning, picking your audience is ideal - when in doubt, keep it subtle but never be ashamed if someone brings it up. 🥳 learning Korean is so fun - what made you choose it? Do you enjoy the music or shows or was it something else? I believe in you and you got this! 화이팅!👏
@@sonia_0290 (This comment must look like hell on a phone I'm so sorry I was born with a corrupted concision.exe file, been trying to repair it for years)
Ah. That's a good point. I don't want to info/trauma dump (I lived with him for most my life) but that is definitely not the case; he's never been interested in foreign languages or traveling and a normal person wouldn't use your interest to talk about something that they found interesting (which I'm sure he genuinely did) only to afterwards turn that story around, using it as an excuse to tell you that they think your interests should be in line with their own while letting it be subtly yet unmistakably known that they think your interest is lesser-than as long as it doesn't fall in line with their own which is something he has _always_ done and is clearly (to me) still doing.
That being said, he is getting better at it; I could feel he was restraining himself from being more antagonistic so I'll still take what you've said in mind and try harder to be more open minded in the future. After all, people can heal and change and I know my dad has been trying for me on a lot of things.
Regardless of how he responds, I definitely agree that you should never be ashamed. Of any interest that doesn't harm another person without their enthusiastic consent, for that matter, though it took me a hefty amount of time to get here. There will always be millions of people who enjoy what you enjoy, even if the people immediately around you don't. And if they try to put you down for it at that point it becomes a matter of choosing your happiness. If giving up this thing you enjoy will make you miserable or ruin your future, is it really worth making the toxic person happy? Because only unhealthy, toxic or misguided people will put you down for being happy. But this is a whole topic on its own. Um. That's kind of a dark story, too, though. Idm telling it but I'm wary of just casually dropping bombs just because someone asked what the button was for lol.
Long story short (I'll make the dark bit super short),
it was a few months before new years two years ago when I started planning to take a permanent nap on new years because I was _tired._ It was about the beginning of November, so a month or two after I had started having these ideations, when Felix-skz started popping up on my YT shorts feed randomly. I'd never been very into k-anything or anything like the sort of vids that were popping up so it really was random. His bubbly happiness was so bright, struck something in me and made me pretty happy, as well, eventually and ultimately saving my life as my interest grew from him to his whole crew and found myself a legitimate fan of something for the first time (I've really liked things before but I wasn't a _fan_ of the person/people behind said thing, yk?). Started learning Korean so that I could watch their journey from the beginning since their earliest videos aren't translated.
Full disclaimer though, unfortunately a series of surgeries left me unable to concentrate or remember anything I had even previously learned so now two years later and I've still not learned anything new since then and ironically I was back to that same beginning... before having to put so much thought into this reply to you?? Seriously for months again I've been feeling on the edge between my constantly awful physical and mental health just being too tired to deal with it anymore but somehow writing this comment (which I've now probably spent like two bleary-eyed hours on and another day or two being regretful about how big this is and wishing I knew how to condense it, btw) made me realize... a lot.. of things...
On a more positive note though, learning foreign languages has been something I've always been interested in, like since I was 6. Regardless of my story on how it became Korean, I don't really know why it was what felt the most right. I mean, I dabbled in Spanish, Sign Language, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese and, tbh, I actually love learning Chinese characters and overall I enjoy the process of learning Mandarin the most, yet Korean is just what felt right. Probably simply has to do with why I started learning in the first place but who can know.
Girl you had me pause the video and read this comment😭 strength to you babe
@@mama-wh3dvi didn’t pause the video to read the comment which made me have to skip back half the video😅
Hey I didn’t see this reply until today 😡 I hope you’ve been well. I read your reply and thought about it for a long while.
Here’s what i have to say. Sometimes as children we have an innate expectation that parents should, and should know how to support us 100% in every way. But then we get to a point where we see that the parent becomes a person. Every parent is a person who doesn’t know everything, and when we put our 100% expectation in them for everything, it leads to disappointment. It feels they don’t love us because they aren’t supporting us the way we wish they would. It can feel even worse like when you said it seems your dad can be more hurtful at times, probably on purpose. And tbh it probably was on purpose in that moment. It’s childish but at any age, but hurt people hurt people.
It’s very mature thinking and so annoying at times, but if we can find it in ourselves to understand ‘okay, dad was being rude. I didnt do anything rude to ask for that. Let me give him the grace that he’s got something going on in his inner world. Understand it, and keep out his way. And go put on a funny variety show or good korean lesson and enjoy yourself!
You said he shows restrain at times, he’s a person like you or me right? - we all are on our learning journeys. I’ve found a lot of relationship problems are actually just personal problems - just give him a gentle tone and leave the room, give him the space to deal with his mood, and have fun with your friends or the kpop online community!
And I love your conviction with learning this language! Never be ashamed, or be made to feel small. You are amazing and every effort towards learning skills you enjoy, is effort well spent! Like you said, there will always be millions of people who enjoy what you enjoy, even if the people immediately around you don't.
And always choose your happiness. Then when you know you’ve got you - help others around you. It’s not wrong to help even toxic family members. But if you do it to your detriment, that’s a problem. Always remember the oxygen mask rule. Yours first, then others!
-
Lastly, but most importantly - thank you for sharing your story with me, and this community. I’m so glad that you can connect with Felix and with me and with so many people in the online community all over the world! I’m honoured that you spent so much time on this comment to tell me about you - I really appreciate it. 🤍 Do you know what a winter training arc is? It’s when people begin an anime style amazing journey with themselves to get stronger or better at a skill - using even a dark backstory as fuel to become amazing in the future. I think you should do one beginning like, now. For korean learning for example. Use the david goggins motivation as he too had to start from a very hard beginning much like your starting from scratch learning again after surgery. Which btw, check out the artist Ren Gill - amazing artist who mentions his health issues in his music. And also I recommend DPR IAN, an artist with bipolar who really motivates and inspires people around the world and makes banger music too. I’m glad you didn’t condense the comment - I took an hour to write this reply, because it’s important. You’re important. Continue with languages, check out those artists (especially dpr ian, he speaks korean too if you’re looking to practice there) and continue doing what feels right to you. You got this. Have an amazing day today, because you can, and you deserve it. 🤍

I've just started my progress of learning Hangeul about a week ago, and so far I have passed the stage of memorising the vowels and consonants as well as syllable structures, currently touching on batchim (stuff like double batchim, pronunciation exceptions, etc). I started with written Hangeul first before spoken Hangeul because I think that learning to pronounce words accurately would make it easier to learn the speaking part because I would have no trouble with pronunciation. My goal now is to at least be able to read sentences accurately with a little more speed by the time December comes, and hopefully be able to at least hold a small conversation before next year (yes, in one month).
This probably sounds a little too ambitious, but I believe in myself, because I can already speak three languages (English, Mandarin, and Malay) and it's normal where I'm from (try guessing haha). I also know three variations of Malay which are Malaysian, Indonesian and Bruneian Malay because I've been listening and speaking in those variations for so long they're basically kind of ingrained in my mind.
Okay wow you already know so many languages which is so cool! Hmm, my guess is that you're from either Singapore, Malaysia, or Brunei (or Indonesia)?? And I love your goal - ambitious but definitely not impossible. We're all cheering for you here and I look forward to hearing your progress! My next 2 videos will be centred around learning a new language in 7 Days so you're speaking to someone who gets your timeline! Those videos will be out in the coming weeks, I'd love to see what your progress is so let me know how it goes for you! You got this!! 😊💫 I believe you can definitely do it!
@ I’m from East Malaysia haha, but currently attending uni in Brunei. I’m going to save this video so I can come back to post updates!! There’s a very special reason why I’m suddenly picking up Hangeul even when it didn’t seem interesting to me at first, and the same reason why I’m keen to get better at it by next year. I’ve seen many videos that teach Hangeul, and most of them say that I should ask myself why I am learning Hangeul, and this reason alone would keep me going😊
@@zenn54321 Ah I love Malaysia - and uni in Brunei - that's so cool! Looking forward to the updates! 🥳This reason sounds awesome - I'm glad you've got one so special! I wonder, if it's.. love?!! or a crush omg - but anyhow, i love that for you - you got thiss 💓

I’m currently learning Korean in uni I’m afraid I won’t pass the first year, I’m a complete beginner in Korean and never attempted to learn it before and my uni only taught Hangul in 1 lesson then suddenly the next day they was teaching full sentences it’s so fast paced and everyone in my class seems to know so much all ready or new a bit of Korean before so no one ever wants to be my partner in class lol but yeh I’m just panicking as it’s so fast paced and all overwhelming we already moved on to complex sentences but I’m no where near that level I’m still trying to learn the vocabulary
oh man - that sounds tough! Luckily, home study should be able to catch you up. In fact, if you resolve to study even harder than anyone in the class, then you can get ahead of everyone in the class based off your own hard work - and everyone will ask you how you did it. Reminds me of a girl in Japan who's teacher doubted she should be able to speak good Japanese, so that girl decided to take teaching into her own hands and got the best score in class! The japanese teacher was confused, but the girl learned a great lesson - that she can do anything she puts her mind to. Here's the video, if you want to watch it: th-cam.com/video/I9AwPUy7a_8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sHQytDfnBF9Phhio I believe in you - you can do it! I also have other videos on my channel that can help you study Korean 🤍
@ thank you so much for your kind words I definitely do want to do better and be at the same level as everyone in my class as right now I don’t have any friends as everyone sees me as the slow dumb person in the class and I can’t chat to them in Korean like they all do with each other it does kind of hurt seeing them all laugh and chat with each other and helping each other with Korean but that does motivate me to work harder just to prove I can be better haha
And oh nice I definitely will check that video out! and I will definitely keep checking out your videos as this one did help a lot and motivate me to keep going :)
@@ImAcornYT I believe in you! With the right work put in, you'll get a great result - just remember it's going to take some time, don't get discouraged. Enjoy learning the language! I hope the future videos help you too!
PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!
Yes 🙌 you said it right ☃️
I am going to follow your advice. Thank you. I started recently and internet and youtubers do confuse at times as to what path to follow.
I'm so glad - how is it going now?
@sonia_0290 I was a little busy with two weddings in the family but is there a time management thing I could do in order to learn Korean? Would love to follow your advice
I work night shifts at an IT company so at times I try to remove time at work to practice Korean
It took me a while to finally pick up Hangul, so I used Busuu (if anyone else has issues learning Hangul) so now I have all of that memorized. I have two childrens books, a Korean poetry book, a grammar card, and flash cards. One issue is that I don’t really know if I wanna shell out like $35 for Anki. I take some free online Korean lessons, although I’d really really love to find a language partner. So they learn English and I learn Korean, I feel like talking and discussing things would definitely speed up my process because I do want to be conversational before the end of 2025.
I say since you bought the books and you've taken lessons - you've proved to yourself that you really are interested in learning. The turning point of any language is being able to make new friends and write cool stories. So whatever gets you from this point to that point, I'd say is worth it. I think Anki is a great place to start! Maybe that money could go towards a lesson with a teacher who can walk you through how to use flashcards effectively?
I discovered bts when I was 14 too 😂 and I watched playful kiss when I was 12
Those yt recommendations were so strong - and too good 😂 i still watch jung somin's channel from time to time - it's a great learning resource too! I recommend it :))
I’ve been studying Korean for about 2 months Ik some basics but idk how to progress ty for this
Glad it helps! If you want more tips, I just put out a new video to help you with your Korean, you can see it here th-cam.com/video/gIoxE_jYxCU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6dk3zCmyetkqcvmg
Good luck!
@ tyy
Thank you so much!! I've been stuck and was left unmotivated to study Korean. I'm gonna study hard from now on. Can you recommend any variety shows?
I'm so glad :) I think Running Man is the best, it has great subtitles - they have korean only channels and they have real, natural conversation. I'd definitely start here. Find something you find funny or interesting and start making notes and learning! Good luck, you got this!
@sonia_0290 Thank you so much! I'm looking forward for your videos! We will always support you;)
@@Rosa-e7m3v Thank you for your kind words! I'll do my best to put awesome stuff out for you!

Hii!! Looking for a language partner, it can be korean, vietnameese or chineese. All I know is english and spanish haaa
Hii same here😊 just decided to come back to my Korean studies!
@Dustyleaves me too!! im okay with you being my language partner, if you're okay with being my language partner, how do you want to study??
You're so good at making videos, never give up! ❤
Thank you - your support in this comment means so much - have a beautiful day! 🤍
I honestly want to watch in kor subs instead of eng subs
The only system that works is working your booty off. You need to study every day. Most people just don't want to do that.
Yes very true - the better you can get and just doing it - the quicker studying will be
Me trying to learn korean for 5 years and I'm still level A2
Me too 💀
You got this! - I believe in you!
unrelated but u’re so pretty
and I love ur accent it sounds so pretty
Thank you 🥹 you are so sweet
Have a beautiful day 🌸
Hi, this video is so helpful! I am like completely new to Korean but I really want to be able to be fluent in it. Anyways I was wondering, when you say that we should have a books and also a coarse, do you have any recommendations for coarse‘s besides the one you mentioned? Also, straykids everywhere all around the world!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad it helped you! I would say Korean grammar in use and first 500 words are good books to start off with! And yeah go stray kids :)
@ thanks
How and where do you find a language partner?
great question - i have a section on that in my video here: th-cam.com/video/gIoxE_jYxCU/w-d-xo.html but I will make a longer video on this since there's a lot of information that can be useful!
Well i am learning japanese and korean out of curiosity,at the same time let see how much time it takes .
May be in future it will be beneficial for me who knows 😂
I’m sure it will be useful! I’m posting a video soon on how to learn a language from scratch! And also how to learn two languages at the same time! I think these might help you too - I have a cold rn but after they’re up I hope they help! Good luck on your learning journey ☺️
@thank you so much i have a doubt which i have been meaning to ask about to someone .
Like ㄱ is pronounced kh/gh so in 안녕히가세요 it is pronounced kha as kha se yo but in 시계 ( clock ) it pronounced shige as g i know it sound like between kh and gh but in these words it definitely sounding like kh and g so is there a way to remember .
Also like in khaseyo why not ㅋis written because its literally kha ?
It aslo same story with other consonents which also sound different in different syllables
@@yuvi-ssss Good question - this is because of the batchim rules and also the difference in pronunciation with ㄱ and ㅋ - one is unaspirated and one is aspirated. You can look at these videos to understand why certain sounds change (batchim), and what makes g/gh/kh different (pronunciation)! th-cam.com/video/yE6p6V7UpEY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TBqQa-CgwVepZxWt
@@sonia_0290ohhh thanks ,it makes sense now actually i am learning from youtube ( i prefer lectures over book reading ) and there is no sequence that why it gets difficult but that okay
Once again thanks.
@@yuvi-ssss No problem - I hope my videos help you too!
Which book do you use ??
Right now the main book I'm using is Korean Grammar in Use and following BillyGo Korean TH-cam Classes!
i also learn from how to study korean
I have question which anki app should I download? I find 2 and I don’t which one is better
Either one works but I think this Anki is the most popular one among language learners: apps.ankiweb.net/ Happy studying!
OMG ARE YOU A STAY
girlll 🤍 - who's your bias?
@@sonia_0290 I'm an ot8 but I love seungmin❤ and you?
@@yasminesalahouelhadj8563 They're all so talented! But Bangchan's added responsibility and effort as leader is very admirable to me - so i'd say him for sure :)
Do you think the same system be used to learn Chinese or Japanese? I know that the are tones in Chinese but i think that also falls under pronunciation then there's pinyin but do you think these tips would help with other languages?
Yes I do - in fact I have an epic video coming out on that very soon 🔜
Why did you stop? You should continue making more vids. I like you the most.
you're very kind ˘ᵕ˘ thank you. i'll be back 💗
@@sonia_0290 One sided/addicted 😄😁
Oh i'm learning korean and i'm french, oh you learned french
J’ai essayé lol - love your username 🌸🤍
@@sonia_0290 très bien! Tu arrives à parler français ?
Merci! L'année dernière, j'ai cessé de parler français. Donc c’est difficile maintenant.
Thank you for asking 😄 how is your Korean learning now? What’s your biggest challenge currently?
@sonia_0290 Oh ok, i'm learning korean since 2 years, i'm at intermediate level now, i can speak but i have to work on my pronunciation, i still make mistakes but i can participate in korean language exchange, i did that and speak only on korean that's good, i can read some webtoon in korean and understand but i can't understand korean news yet
@@newjeansfan238 Ah that sounds like some pretty good progress! Keep it up! Do you have a favourite book? Maybe you can find a Korean translation of it? I have Ernest Hemingway's book in Korean and I find it difficult but fun to translate, if you're looking for any ideas, maybe this could be one. Well done on all your hard work, keep working hard and I know it will be worth it! :D
It's hard to find a partner😅.. where do i find one?
HelloTalk and Tandem are really good 👍
Am i the one who thinks that her voice accent is just like Priyanka Chopra ❤
i think she's v cool so this is a big compliment :) hope you liked the video :D
Why would anybody be embarrassed about learning a language? 😳🤔 Never heard of such a thing.
It’s a thing! I’m glad you’ve never experienced it ☺️
@sonia_0290 Indeed. It's not a thing in my country, quite the contrary. The more languages you know, the better. Just like anything else, knowledge is always a good thing. And don't everybody learn languages in school anyway?!
I'd be very interested to know where and why it is a thing to be embarrassed about learning languages. Sounds absurd.
i’ve also never experienced this (shaming for learning korean) but i can understand the nature of the problem. as kpop became popular, some ppl started to assume all kpop fans as crazy and delusional (u probably understand why). so for many ppl who r not into k culture, learning korean is just another “weirdness” of korean culture fans (like oh i’m learning korean to move to korea and find my oppa)
therefore i know some ppl who were afraid to show that they r learning korean. also when i started learning this language about 4 years ago, i wasn’t embarrassed but ppl sometimes told me that it was just a waste of time and i will never be able to rlly speak this language)) well now i’m still learning it but on more advanced level😮💨😮💨
well i’m also not a native eng speaker but i hope i’ve managed to get my message across^^
