Hello Amy Not sure you’ll remember but said I lost my confidence in riding and bought a new road bike but just wouldn’t go out on it. Well yesterday I did a 80 mile loop took 6 hours so wasn’t pulling up any trees but I got out and did it. & loved every minute Thank you and Kyle for the inspiration I love the videos 🚴
80 miles cold without building up to it? Congratulations and well done but I hope you’re ok. I recently climbed a nasty hill in 2nd gear (the bike didn’t shift properly) and got laid up for 2 ½ weeks with the worst pain I’ve ever had.
Happy birthday Kyle! Gloves are an essential piece of kit! If you hate your hands then don’t wear them. I always wear gloves! Well done Amy! Hey Kyle! If you’re hot, get rid of the base layer. Do you see anyone in the tour wearing a base layer? The answer is no! They want to stay as cool as possible in hot weather!
Happy birthday, Kyle ! But you are absolutely right about the kit, whenever I say I’m gonna go out in my most expensive outfit. It’s always the bike kit from head to toe.
Hi Amy and Kyle, definitely gloves every time to protect my hands. I wear the Loffi (smiley face) gloves and mitts, most comfortable gloves I’ve ever owned 👍👌
Thanks for sharing sport pursuit tip I’ve just put in an order. Love your channel, you are both an inspiration, I also needed a new helmet so ordered the same make that you wear so glad I did it’s so comfy.
Hey Amy - thanks for shouting out sport pursuit. I've been looking for somewhere to find cycling jerseys! New to the hobby, any savings is most welcome :)
Great ride guys 👏🏻 I try wearing gloves but got big hands so summer months I go without but minter gloves and hand warmers lovely and toasty lol and you got to love a soup maker 👍🫶🏻
Hi Amy/Kyle, great video. I live around here and drive these roads as part of the school drop daily so great seeing them in the video. Can I ask, how quick do you have to ride (average speed roughly) to be on a ride like that today with Velo Bavarian. I'm not sure I'm quick enough to join that club by the looks of things, I ride about 22-23kph around Derbyshire typically (it's the hills!!! ha).
I tried loads of different fingerless gloves over the years and the ones that work best for me are the decathlon ones. A third of the price of the other brands but because they have so many size choices you can get a pair that really fit your hands. I found them better than Castelli and boardman, lasted longer and cheaper.
Happy Birthday Kyle! orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr just do the dismount leg move in reverse. I'm Team Kyle on this (with or without saddle engagement) #stopthetoptubescratch 😃👊
Kyle looks fit, having said that gloves are comfortable when you get used to them. Great video as usual. Hey maybe Jimmy could give us a few simple mechanic tips if he has any. I can think of a few examples but I won’t write an essay. Thanks for the video.
I never bought aboutgloves in the terms of protection when you fall off but that’s a good point! I wear them because it helps my hands/wrists a little on long rides. Hathersage is lovely, I cycle round there a lot. Did my first triathlon there on Sunday!
@@amy.cycling.adventures yes super close to us! Ahh! I was late on in the morning for my start time - it was a difficult route - bike was kind of fine because I'm used to it round there (though traffic was awful) but the run was SUPER steep!
Hi, I'm from Western Australia and have been riding for around 25 years. I have always worn gloves, as have all the guys I ride with. As essential as a helmet.
Same here in Victoria, Oz. I wear fingerless gloves when it is warmer but under 15 degrees Celsius wear full finger gloves. More comfort on the bars and I think about the terrible scenario of coming off and losing large amounts of skin
Kyle, base layers make you hotter when it is high humidity. Base layers are only cooler in low humidity. I live in the southern US and nobody in their right mind would wear one. The jersey blocks the air flow so the the mesh underlayment can't breath. That's why you have your jersey unzipped.
You need to sort Kyle out with gloves Amy, the right gloves are not uncomortable😉That looked like a very nice ride😊I'm with you, I prefer colder weather also👍I have been out on my bike 3 times recently while the weather has improved a bit, 56 miles last Friday, 86 on Sunday and 50 miles today in perfect weather👌Over 12000ft of climbing and I'm feeling it now😂
I still remember rhe early days with Kyle riding a beaten up bike wearing an old fleece. Here he is now wearing pristine white Pas kit and riding a Pinarello Dogma 😂
surely the best method of getting on the bike is to clip in your left foot, while both legs are on the left side of the bike, then start rolling, then right leg over, then clip in the right foot. To dismount, reverse the process
I’m actually always mystified by - whenever you see kids riding two to one bike, one riding and one sitting on the handlebars, how does the one on the handlebars get on?? cos surely the bike should fall over if not moving…
Gloves save your hands and there is nothing on the bicycle which is restricted by wearing gloves. Fingerless gloves in the summer full finger gloves when it's cold.

Gloves also prevent blisters and sunburn on your hands.they also help with grip when it rains
Happy birthday, Kyle !

Nice to see you back in the UK. I haven’t experienced riding with a club, it does look like fun. Thanks
It’s really fun! 🙌☺️ nice to have a social side to it

Ahh that’s great!! Love a good bargain 🙌😂 thanks for watching!
Kyle ……you use your hands for your job…..use your head, protect your hands !
Happy Birthday Kyle! Smoothie looked perfect 🤩 Thanks for the vlog A&K 🥰
Thank you!! It was delish!
Amy, I've been riding for 50+ years and always have always worn gloves/mitts. Feels strange without them tbh !
Great fun as usual . Love the cooking advice at the end, " in the kitchen where you belong "...!!! Kyle pushing his luck there I would say.
😂😂
Hey Amy - thanks for shouting out sport pursuit. I've been looking for somewhere to find cycling jerseys! New to the hobby, any savings is most welcome :)
No problem! Yes all about saving the dolla!
Happy birthday Kyle! I love your bike engraving at the bottom of the stairs 🔥
Thanks!! We love it too 🙌🙌
Love the cycle engraving on the staircase!
We do too!
Kyle’s Grandad made it for us ☺️
Belated happy birthday Kyle! I've started to enjoy Amy's subtle winding up of the poor chap 😁
Haha thank you!!

I wouldn’t be without my giro gel palm riding gloves. So comfy 👍🏻

Happy Birthday Kyle. You’re a good chap. Don’t forget the Beer.
I would never ride without mitts in the summer or gloves in winter. I like my skin on the hand not the road 😊. Also no blisters.
The UK countryside seems very special and I love all the cafés you have there. 🎉
We are very lucky! The cafes are great 🙌🙌

Ahh nice we love Hathersage!! Ohhh we were cheering people on on Sunday as we did a walk from there! Hope it went well, it looked so tough!!

Happy Birthday, Kyle❤❤. Nice club ride😊
knee raise over the bars is easiest to mount on bike. and wax chain is the only option
Great vids, would be nice to know where you’re riding for when we can visit area.
Happy late Birthday, Kyle.
Happiest birthday Kyle
Happy birthday Kyle!!!

Had a lovely meal in Duffield last night, same name as my surname 😊
Chester, no! Don't play with the sunglasses. Okay, we are going to make you wear the sunglasses. 🕶🐕
😂😂
Hi Amy! Love your content, can I please ask you how tall you are (because of the bike jerseys you are wearing) thank you xx
Thanks so much ☺️ I’m just under 5ft 9 x
I still remember rhe early days with Kyle riding a beaten up bike wearing an old fleece. Here he is now wearing pristine white Pas kit and riding a Pinarello Dogma 😂
Haha yes 😂 we rode LEJOG with a gym back strapped on the back, old trainers & his fleece - maybe the fleece will make a return this winter 😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures yes we need a return of the fleece. Maybe some wind tunnel testing it might be more aero than we think!
Hi Amy, what shoes are you wearing in this video please? My wife is looking for a pair of white SPD shoes. 👍🏻
They’re the Lake MX30G ☺️ AMY10 gets you 10% off them from UKbikefit ☺️

Thank you!!
Hello Pretty Amy. Ride Safe.
Amy you look like the only one not out of breath.
😂😂
I still don't understand how you don't know how to mount your bike 🤔🙃 I think you do it that way _just_ to vex Kyle (and me)
surely the best method of getting on the bike is to clip in your left foot, while both legs are on the left side of the bike, then start rolling, then right leg over, then clip in the right foot. To dismount, reverse the process

Hallo kan je mijn een link sturen van de webshop
The link is in the description under the video.

Gloves save your hands and there is nothing on the bicycle which is restricted by wearing gloves. Fingerless gloves in the summer full finger gloves when it's cold.
Upside down sun glasses, I remember when I was a cringe fest cyclist like this
pns is over priced junk
