    Ski-Doo does have a winner with this sled - we have a 2022 as part of our household fleet. In the tight and twisties it’s great, keep up with any sled once setup right. It’s a good 20lbs lighter than a 600 etec too. Is it the sled to ride on powerlines with 850s? No. Is it a good sled when you’re out with the family? Absolutely.
    Great review.

      The shocks are the only downfall with the sled. Even Shannon blew hers out putting low km on easy trail riding and she is a light rider. They now have x pkg shocks all around and makes this thing really perform.

      @@mudbrats it would be nice if ski-doo offered an upgrade for sure. Even just shocks to match the adrenaline models. They used to offer upgrades on 550 fan and 500ss back in the day.
      Figure we’ll just ride them until they blow and then make a change.

    Skidoo makes the Neo now. Same engine, but tuned down to 60HP instead of 85. And the price blows all other manufactures out of the water. The price point of the Neo makes sleds like the Blast/Venom or Evo obsolete. Plus, you're getting a liquid cooled EFI Twin in a Neo vs Air cooled twin from Polaris or the Single cylinder from Yama/Cat. The value that Ski-doo has delivered on here is game changing to the industry.

      @mudbrats  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @StreetersGarage its no replacement for an Axys 800 - its a very entry level
      sled with a very bare bones suspension system. You would be better to flip it and upgrade to am MXZ with the Etec engine
      and rmotion skid. better on fuel, better on oil and a way beyywe handling and comfortable ride with rmotion. The 600efi tops out around 70/80mph so you are going to be wanting more from that sled coming from an 800

    For 11 grand you think you could still get coupling blocks and buttons on the handlebars especially for a beginner rider sled. They shouldn’t be taking hands of bars for high beams or adjusting warmers and no coupling blocks to control ski lift?

    • @mudbrats
      @mudbrats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i agree about the hands on the bars but there is no ski lift like you would think an uncoupled skid would act.

    I just bought a 2017 ski doo 600 carb- rev xp chassis- same suspension as this- is the performance of the 600 carb do you think comparable to this? I have read the carb should have more power

    • @mudbrats
      @mudbrats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you 600carb probably has better skid (coupled) and shocks TBH…. i think you would have a higher top speed as well but the PDrive and EFI is probably quicker off the line…. but i would love to see the race and be proven wrong haha

  • @robertreinhart7557
    @robertreinhart7557 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    We had that discussion a couple days ago if you really need a 800 or an 850 size sled... And it really comes down to who you ride with and where you ride. Tight Twisties like in some of the Wisconsin areas a 600 is just fine and especially if the group rides under 60mph. Even if the group rides a little faster most 600 etechs can hang with the big boys to a point. I just like that extra power when you're at 60mph and can haul a wheelie over a bump and ride it out a while. 😎

    • @mudbrats
      @mudbrats  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it just needs a better shock package. An agressive rider would be hard on the stock pogo sticks

    • @mudbrats
      @mudbrats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      but then where do u stop, better shocks, better track, hand guards, better seat, the list grows and before you know it….youre in the money of a 600R 🤦‍♂️

    • @robertreinhart7557
      @robertreinhart7557 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mudbrats yes this sled won't work for an aggressive rider over a rough railroad grade at the end of a day. That's where I seem to stress my shocks out as well. Nice sled but it's not going to fit for how I ride.

    • @robertreinhart7557
      @robertreinhart7557 ปีที่แล้ว

      As much as I need a sled with over 9700 miles, putting in a new motor for $3000 doesn't seem so bad when you still have a descent riding sled. I just can't justify the cost right now. Paid $12000 for my 16 Blizzard 800 and to replace it is going to run me $14/15 thousand.... for a base 850. Geez

    • @MBTUE
      @MBTUE ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll date myself here. Back in my day a 600 was a big fast sled .Since the 800-850 sleds have become more popular for some reason the 600 sleds are not adequate ? ( A girls sled or a new rider sled ) Hmm ?? Not the case. A 600 is plenty of power and speed for any rider. Especially with EFI or Etec technology. IMO. Chck out my 600r on my channel. MarkBow

      they ran the 600 carb in the Rev XP platform from 2008-2021 which was a head scratcher but let skidoo offer an affordable “new” snowmobile. the EFI sport Replaces this Sport Carb XP. In canada and etec will run you close to $20k, the efi is $10k and gets you into a Gen4
