Honnestly, from a European perspective, you have no idea how the ideas defended by the Republican Party seem terrifying. People like Trump or Pence seem to believe that anyone who criticizes the current American system is a defender of the radical left, and yet they tolerate ideas among their own party that would seem extremist to a vast majority of european far-right leaders. Of course we can rejoice that people like Pence have deeply rooted convictions and aren't afraid to express it, but Republicans, as strongly as they may despise or fear the ideas of the Democrats, should understand that even people like Sanders are not so radical. Sanders goes approximately as far to the left as Sarah Palin goes to the right. And to keep the same constitution since the late 18th Century is a sign of such conservatism that even reformers ought to be radical. Anyway, I used to only feel hate and desprise for Republican values, and then I discovered John Mc Cain. If he had lived in a country where moderate conservative can developp a programm on their own, he would have been an amazing leader

Yup 👍 here because Biden’s speech today reminded me of McCain’s own concession speech when Barrack Obama won. This funeral was his last act as a human being, an effort to show America that he worked with both sides, because he wanted to best for the country he sacrificed so much for. It was his last act of service.
I needed to remind myself what it means to be a republican instead of a Trumplican

Respect to you sir.

John Henry you do know that Trump knew about how deadly COVID was and didn’t tell the public and you do know that because of his incompetence by not issuing a federal mandate to wear a mask 😷, he wouldn’t have murdered so many fellow Americans, the pandemic could have been controlled AND Trump wouldn’t be in the hospital battling Covid-19 himself and he wouldn’t have infected most of the White House? The most documented liar, tax cheat, grifter and con man ever “elected” to the presidency that has said a national treasure and war hero, Senator John McCain was neither because “he got captured” just proves what a joke and embarrassment he is.
@@drummergirl495 john mccain was not a nation treasure but a warmonger.
John Henry 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Trump is the president, not anyone else, you drank the kool aid and you don’t warrant another thought, but as a parting note, Trump supported the war...bye bye 👋🤣🤣🤣
I'm crying watching this video. I'm sure how many days of quarantine we've had thus far, but what I do know, is , how much I miss and love our beloved President of the United states, Barack Obama. May God continue to bless him and his family.
Greetings from the crown prince of Dubai and send me your email or Whatsapp number ok
I’m not a republican but I appreciate John McCain’s service and character
As Republican as Arizona may be, they showed America that they would not take disrespect to one of it's people. Especially one who was a decroated war veteran. Thank you, Arizona for demonstrating loyalty to American values over partisanship of one's party. Thank You for being an example to us all.
Well said 👏🏼
I feel so blessed to have lived to see this gentleman, such a lovely man , a man of integrity, and a man who cares for humanity...as the President of the United States. I miss him so much.
Joyce Dauzart I miss him too. Where you from? I’d like to know you.

We were blessed until someone else took over the sit from there on it is hell
I am watching this with great sadness. Sadness for Sen McCain, President Obama and our country.

He showed his class again with this speech. He will go down in history as one of the greatest president's we had and John McCain as one of the great Senators who ever served this great republic.
Abraham Lincoln - Greatest president
@@Insightful_Truth Ofcourse Abraham Lincoln is the greatest President, no doubt about it.
This is how a president speak. I haven’t heard a proper speech in 4 years.
"He made us (Bush and Obama) better presidents." McCain was the last decent Republican. The party of Lincoln died with him.
There is always a chance to bring it back!
Wow
It died with Nixon lol
Dont forget Mick Romney
Eli Lichtman not without a birth by fire it’s too gone to salvage now under trump and we need a complete new Republican Party that holds actual ideals and willing to work with the other parties instead of acting like children that the current party heads of it do
I came here to remember the true men of service, and hear an eloquent orator.
Then you’re at the wrong Place !
Nasty.
Steve Sanzari no, not really.
Keep on hating ✌🏻
I did too! To remember what it was like to be inspired by a president
He is using a teleprompter.
It seems like before Trump, most politicians were able to look past politics and respect each other. Obama and the Clinton’s at a republicans funeral and George Bush laughing with Michelle... Nowadays, things are just so divisive that it’s astonishing that this funeral was only 2 years ago.
McCain was one of the few Republicas most democrats respect and will continue to respect. His views are different, but his respect for others and patriotism are what a real American represent.
absolutely--A real American
Yes
This is true leadership, when two people from different backgrounds and views can still respect each other.
I agree with you dear, to respect the humanity is very important. because any good thing can possible "👍🤘🤝 God bless you and may you live long.
I am not American , but believe me or not , whenever i feel down I listen to some Obama's speech which make me fresh again . Lovely man !
it's true
Me too i swear i did the same thing , god bless him
I love Obama and I miss him dearly. Ps. Trump makes me miss George Bush
Ditto.
Then you dont know the truth about him....so stay out of American politics if you are ignorant of them!!! Its equivalent to say im not German but i listened to Hitlers speeches and they were refreshing...not good!!!
Please always remember that Donald Trump was president and did not attend / was not invited because of Trump's character.
@Ricardo S Man, you people make it a job to embarrass yourselves.
@Ricardo S Hahaha yeah we're not gonna play this game. You people seem to believe its a coincidence that every recent president that has held office is against him, not only that, but recent Republican nominees in McCain and Romney. But I get it. Pretty easy to say "everyone is lying on you", instead of looking at the why. That fits your narrative. But you got it bro, you win 🙂
Ricardo S I do not understand how anyone can support a single thing Trump says. I can’t think of a SINGLE thing Trump has said the past 4 years that is even true, let alone actually based on facts. I don’t care what your political leaning is, it’s quite a simple fact that he lies daily. You can read it for yourself directly from the man. If you say that he doesn’t lie to us every day you are lying to yourself and us. Why would I support someone who can’t even tell the truth? He resorts to character attacks on his opponents because he can’t actually debate with facts. He’s turned politics into a partisan circus of character attacks, lies, and extreme division. He’s weakened our image across the world because of this.
@nakedBison69 That's rich.
@Ricardo S Saved the housing marketing crash and got 20 million people healthcare. Need more examples?
You know you've done something right when everyone laughs on your funeral with tears in their eyes
Do I ever miss this guy. I'm not American but Barak almost made me want to be one
I'd bet you're glad you aren't one now
Excellent comment. I'm Canadian, and it was during Obama that I held America in high esteem. Nowadays, my feelings are a mixture of disgust and pity.
Martin Arnold as an American I wish people can read what you just said because I don’t feel ashamed as an American but disappointed
Im an American and i can say... Trump does not support or reflect us true patriots. We dont see Republican and Democrat... We see brother and sister. The true Americans are overlooked now by this horrendous virus of an America that the Trump administration has created. God bless us all.

Agreed. This is what a leader sounds like.

Y B Just because you can actually understand Obama. Trump can’t put three words together let alone a full sentence without making a fool of himself. I don’t blame Trump, he is just not good enough for the job.
The fact that John asked a democratic president to speak at his funeral says a lot about the kind of person he was. World class John and Obama.

Michelle Fielding - If you were born during Obama's presidency, that would make you 9 years old or younger. Seems a bit young to be spouting platitudes that would cause the stone faces of Mount Rushmore to cringe.
Obviously your God is Satan too
For a sitting president to be banned from the funeral of a great American hero like Jonh McCain, says alot about how despicable of a man Trump is
They actually invited Trump, but he couldn't get permission from Putin.

I miss President Obama and John McCain. This garbage today would never be happening. Period.
John made it clear before death that he didn't want Trump at his funeral.
If trump would have been there, he would have made it all about him, forgetting where and why he was there for.
Would you ? 🙂
McCain hated Trump, and with good reason.
If he would have attended the funeral and given a eulogy, as you would expect of any normal president, he would have used it for self congratulation and aggrandizement. He would have said something to the effect that John McCain lost but he won. He would have used code words to make it clear McCain lost to a black man.
