I'm glad Richard's Channel mentioned me getting this as a "FREEBIE" It gives me a chance to point out a few things. First, I'm not a review channel. I show what specs are in an RC, why I may or may not like the layout or parts, and then show the items in use. I do share my impressions while driving them, but rarely come back to do a full review on a product and whether or not you should buy it. If you like how it handles when I run it...then it speaks for itself. Second, I am one of a few channels who is upfront about items I receive. I know it matters to viewers. I'll also say, that the amount of time I spend making videos on vehicles would cost far more money if I charged them to make the content. So I am giving up a lot of time to do videos on products. Time is money. Still, I think it's fair to point it out and it's actually to be in compliance with the FTC guide that requires it. "In addition, the Guides say, if there’s a connection between an endorser and the marketer that consumers would not expect and it would affect how consumers evaluate the endorsement, that connection should be disclosed. For example, if an ad features an endorser who’s a relative or employee of the marketer, the ad is misleading unless the connection is made clear. The same is usually true if the endorser has been paid or given something of value to tout the product. The reason is obvious: Knowing about the connection is important information for anyone evaluating the endorsement." Third, I mentioned in this video that I was going to run batteries that are not from Venom who sponsors me. Why? Because I'm trying to show you a the features of this vehicle and there are extra features when you do use their recommended SMART battery that works with the Spektrum Smart Technology. I also point out that Venom sponsors me as I try to disclose this type of information. I also wouldn't take sponsorship from a company I don't believe in - which is a whole other subject. But I endorsed them before they endorsed me. Thanks for letting me share this. I hope you still enjoy the content and would hope that you will know that I try to tell it like it is. I'm not as negative as some channels and can find fun in a lot of RC vehicles, but I do try to give context for who they might be best suited for.
Richard’s Channel dude, this is a means of income for him and the production and time it takes to make this 28:38 video would cost me, or anyone else, far more than the $1100 sticker price on the buggy. This is one of the ways this guy makes money and he makes no bones about it. I feel like he gives an honest opinion and comes across as unbiased, even though he might not have paid for the unit. I would like to think someone’s integrity is more valuable than a stupid R/C car. I guess it goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished and there’s always “that guy” out there that will find fault, no matter what you do. CCxRC, keep up the good work and great video content! Don’t listen to the haters!
@@stutank07 Thanks Stuart. But like Richard says, "to each his own". We all come to TH-cam for different reasons and watch the channels we do because we each are drawn to different things. Thank you for recognizing the work I put into it and how I try to be as unbiased as possible. Losi sent me this even though I had quite a few negative points about the other one in my early videos. That's a testament to them. Hopefully those things will have been addressed in the 2.0.
@@CCxRC I'm in the same boat, unless they have a channel and do regular videos they have no idea the work it takes to make a video. It can take me 2-3 hrs or a couple days to get a 10 minute video ready so yeah man its work.....mostly way under minimum wage too!!! LOL Great job man!

Hello, I just had a DBXL-E 2.0 delivered on 1-27-20. My buggy arrived looking ok, but on power-up the pinion and spur gears are grinding like a cement mixer. On the bench it goes. I found a bent front drive shaft. It shows .030 thousands bend on the dial indicator. That means .015 bend. Looking further the 4mm metal plate has a .080 thousands upward bow in it. No idea how this can happen being shipped. Can you put a straight edge on yours and see if yours may be bowed. Im getting ready to straighten things up. Contact for repairs has started, but im in wait mode. I took video of the work checking the buggy.
Awesome unboxing I just ordered mine today after watching your video ...I wanted to wait to see the steering I’ve had so many problem with Losi and steering I leery on them after my sbr and srr there killing me with steering how this one ?????
The steering on the last one was really good once you dialed in the end points on the remote. The plastic servo saver on the 1.0 was replaced bay everyone I knew who had one and then did ok. I think this one is setup to have steering like the 5ive-b with dual servos as an option. I haven’t run it yet because of our weather here, but I’m very optimistic about it.
Earl Moorhead Earl,,, if it makes you feel more comfortable just add a good second servo,,,,,, you won’t regret buying this Losi 2.0 new version of this buggy,,,, it is awesome. Enjoy!!!

How are the 50C batteries doing? They recommend 100C batteries, although I don't think they exist outside of marketing talk to be honest. Vape batteries get good C rating testing, in the rc hobby world I haven't come across good battery review sources. The graphite batts from hobbyking seemed to work really well in my old DBXL, but I'm upgrading to the new one and don't want to pay too much for batteries. 7000mah seems very tempting if it is true capacity. I don't trust any of the labels anymore in this hobby..
Great video. This could be a stupid question but I do not know the answer. I am a little confused on the spektrum batteries and spektrum charger. Can I charge the spektrum batteries for this buggy on my lipo charger as long as my charger is within the spektrum specs of charging them?
Yes. They’ll charge on normal LiPo chargers. The smart feature on their charger just automatically sets the right charge settings if you want it to. But you can manually charge them like we’ve done for years
And is a lot smaller motor. I prefer cars that have motors installed that are big enough for the job so that they don’t need all that extra stuff to keep from overheating. All my basher cars that have fans…now have broken fans from dirt and debris braking off fins
this is way more exciting than the new 8s kraton. I have the 6s kraton so the new one isnt all that exciting to me lol plus i got my xmaxx for big scale
Depends how you plan to run it. If you want to run for long periods of time...Gas. I like the electric. It gives me good fun for 15 minutes. Then I change batteries and run another 15. That's usually plenty of fun for me and all the time I have. My big race trucks I like gas.
Great video the buggy is really nice I just wonder why there is no gas version. It’s looking more and more like Losi is getting out of the gas market. 🤞🏻 I am wrong.
I’m ok with the electric 5t, but would still want gas. Unfortunately so many videos are about converting away from gas these days. I love being able to top it off and keep running without needing 8 4s batteries to get through a race day
I bought one a few months ago and just can't get into it. Its not fast enough to scare you, it nose dives if you jump it unless your waaaay in the throttle.
Good video bro, like the truck... one thing though!!! You, me, and everyone else knows that those spectrum transmitters are junk! No range at all and people loosing signal crashing. They come in arrma rigs as well now... horrible horizon get TACTIC stuff back. Best rtr radio ever.
Thanks J Ho! It’s a great looking desert buggy. As for the transmitter, This is the DSMR protocol one that is better then the ones that come with most ARRMA. These receivers can be bound to other Spektrum radios. The other one is the STX2 transmitter that runs FHSS protocol. But STX2 is getting replaced.
Tony , i think you caused fox ed losi dbpro to be on backorder why they sponsor you serious lol im thinking getting sbr instead which not what i need it hard find bash space on island when time is of essence
@@CCxRC lol np, lucas still available so many good rcs being released and older ones seems horizon dropping prices . I think you showed how good db pro is more than other yt and was great for marketing for losi we caught up how tough arrmas on but losi usually has quality just pricey

ColemanWorld I really like the DBXLE 2.0. Partly because I loved the original so much. It’s an insane rig. I also don’t feel tempted to try to stunt this one :) it jumps great and tears up the ground with power
@@ColemanWorld This actually has a much larger motor than the arrma. Both are rocking the new Spektrum Smart ESC and receiver, but this is a 5th scale motor. If I recall, the shocks on this are bigger diameter as well and it has metal shock towers. Also the Losi has driveshaft dust boots to minimize wear from dirt. Both are awesome, but the extra money that goes into this one is noticeable.
I cant for the life of me figure out how to turn off the lights. I was hopign the video would mention it. I had to unplug them. The stock radio SUCKED so im putting my futaba in it.
Mine was very reliable, so I’m not sure how to respond. The stock servo savor was junk, but the only other think I broke was the servo after hitting a curb at full speed and the center/front driveshaft (broke off the pin). The servo savor has been changed and the pin in the driveshafts is bigger, so hopefully the parts I broke are stronger now.
@@CCxRC I also bashed my V1 very hard never broke a thing except for the servo. Most reliable RC i've ever had. I hope the V2 has a better saver. Looks like it.
It's not a joke. It's just normal run time. I get about 12 minutes run time with it if I'm bashing. 9000mah will give more run time, but it doesn't really change the performance. It's also a more expensive battery and doesn't work wtih all my cars. I choose based on what i can get the most use out of. A 5000mah works great in my 4s cars too. So...it's not a joke. I'm just being practical.
Prolly. I just think 12 minutes of runtime on those spektrum 5000mah batteries is to short. You could get 9000mah for the same price as those spektrum smart batteries and get nearly 30 minutes. I have Xmaxx and dbxl e 2.0 both with 9000mah and get 25 to 30 minutes with a mix of full throttle racing and bashing. 🙂

this is way more exciting than the new 8s kraton. I have the 6s kraton so the new one isnt all that exciting to me lol plus i got my xmaxx for big scale
These DBXLEs are so much fun to drive. The power is insane.
wonder who makes the motor
Spektrum makes this awesome motor.
It seems well designed and built. Can you compare it to XMAX?
Good vid... thank you.
I don't have an 8s X-maxx. The designs are way different as well. The motor in this is massive to push it at high speeds
I've pretty much decided which I'm buying but, just out of curiosity, between this and the kraton 8s, which would you buy?
Very nice 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Would you suggest getting this buggy or the gas verison?
Depends how you plan to run it. If you want to run for long periods of time...Gas. I like the electric. It gives me good fun for 15 minutes. Then I change batteries and run another 15. That's usually plenty of fun for me and all the time I have. My big race trucks I like gas.
Great truck, love it , how much cost? 🥰
😲👍Looks sick man!
AWESOME!!
Great video the buggy is really nice I just wonder why there is no gas version. It’s looking more and more like Losi is getting out of the gas market. 🤞🏻 I am wrong.
Yep 5t smart systems be next
I’m ok with the electric 5t, but would still want gas. Unfortunately so many videos are about converting away from gas these days. I love being able to top it off and keep running without needing 8 4s batteries to get through a race day
@@CCxRC yes me too , just better when i bring both its hard to go back to electric
Looks like the Murader
Why does no one make a 1/5 electric buggy?
Wait, I'm missing the box! How can you call it unboxing? Not acceptable! Anyway, nice car :-)
They should have the Arrma guys rework it so it'll actually perform. And get ridda that horrible Losi transmission noise too.
Water shop
I bought one a few months ago and just can't get into it. Its not fast enough to scare you, it nose dives if you jump it unless your waaaay in the throttle.
Just have to do a little bit bigger pinion gear
😂 Sorry? 😂 There's a ton of cool RCs out there. I didn't know the Losi DB Pro Fox was out of stock. It's definitely a sweet RC
@@CCxRC lol np, lucas still available so many good rcs being released and older ones seems horizon dropping prices . I think you showed how good db pro is more than other yt and was great for marketing for losi we caught up how tough arrmas on but losi usually has quality just pricey
Going forward!! Love you content!! Back up plan's. If I can't check you in the new year! . 67.. Starcraft50hp Mercury . In the barn 50+years!! . NC❤ back yard RC.AND MORE🏞. Maybe we go down the lake next year. Having some RC.. fun. Outside!! Going forward with..👋✔🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒✔
Which is your favorite: Losi DBXLE 2.0 or Kraton 8S?
ColemanWorld I really like the DBXLE 2.0. Partly because I loved the original so much. It’s an insane rig. I also don’t feel tempted to try to stunt this one :) it jumps great and tears up the ground with power
@@CCxRC The LOSI looks sweet I owned a 5t years ago. I just wondered because the armma looked like it had some more upgraded parts to it.
CCxRC awesome thanks for the great responses 🤓
got to watch water gets in tires and breaks the tire foam 60 dollers for new foam
The weakest area of the chassis(in front of the rear diff) is still looking suspiciously vulnerable. The screw holes also make it even worse.
Dubble beed locks ,,,,,wow
Where's the unboxing?
Anyone makes good fans to keep that big motor cool?
I cant for the life of me figure out how to turn off the lights. I was hopign the video would mention it. I had to unplug them. The stock radio SUCKED so im putting my futaba in it.
Is it any better than the v1 because its reliability was crap
Mine was very reliable, so I’m not sure how to respond. The stock servo savor was junk, but the only other think I broke was the servo after hitting a curb at full speed and the center/front driveshaft (broke off the pin). The servo savor has been changed and the pin in the driveshafts is bigger, so hopefully the parts I broke are stronger now.
@@CCxRC I also bashed my V1 very hard never broke a thing except for the servo. Most reliable RC i've ever had. I hope the V2 has a better saver. Looks like it.
i wish companies sent me $1500 worth of product for free too! lol.
Very nice not big fan of remotes, i put foam cover from old traxxas remote but range not as good as futaba or even tactics
This controller isn't too bad and the receiver is compatible with the higher end Spektrum...which is nice for people who use them.
@@CCxRC ik i may try rugged, bc its compatible. Is the rugged better linearity and range ?
I have air filled 1/5 scale tires
looks like 1/7 scale
Jessie james
Never!! This thing makes a 1/6 scale look small.
Mmm
5000mah batteries for this car is a joke. You need at least 9000mah.
It'd be cool if it wasn't electric.... 1/5 scale electric rc's are just weird.
naw its where tis at. forget messing with gas.
Arrma better trucks better price
Nice vid 👍🏻
