Great video. Losi did a good job on that center diff cup. I actually used that cup inside FID housings front and rear. Very stout setup holds up to 12S very well. The Losi bearings though. The pinion bearings usually go first in the rear diff. That is what led me to upgrade. It melted the stock plastic housing. Look forward to seeing more of this 2.0. I have the V1
Awesome, the million weight oil and 18 tooth pinion gear really helped that losi alot. ......... but you have the same problem i had back when i ran associated rc10's.......... never enough batteries. ....... you can never have enough.
Wow, that made quite the difference... I'd like to see silicone ear plugs... On that last "slow'mo" it really look like them front tires were still ballooning up pretty good... Man is that thing sweet with lil work Done! Great video! 👍
Not bad! Good job on the upgrades, this thing keeps on going, it's a lot of work, hopefully longer playtime for THE LOSI, and some banjo music for the fastest buggy kicking up dirt,it needs good duribility and jumping, Yee Haw!🤠
Also you can change the low power alarm on the rc7gs to 0 so then you can still monitor voltage but you'll be able to drive till the ESC hits lvc. Had the same thing happen with mine. The batteries are always going to drop volts when you punch it, the radio won't account for that. ESC Lvc will kick in when the batteries are consistently at a low voltage
true I could do that but then if I start puffing batteries that would just cost me money and maybe a fire. I'll try the 7200 Power Hobby batteries next time. Plus on the take off it was lacking so they were pretty much done for.
It appears this one may be getting a Castle 800v system, I won the new XLX2 with 1100kv setup in a raffle so that’s going in the Crusher Kraton and that system will go in the DBXLE
Good video. Gained insight. I wish this was a build yourself kit. Might save some money on the $1000 cost of the car and save time as the 2 RTRs I have owned have been Rebuild To Run.
Loved the video i just pick one up, any must do 1st mods before i really go play with it?? As far as cleaning, am i good to hose it down then blow dry it off (Batteries out)
Easy trick with high viscosity fluids is to heat them up.. You can use a heat gun or a microwave, It will make your life easier. With a diff that size I would either overfill it or use epoxy but I am kinda on the fence thinking they use a center diff on that to save the drivetrain or to keep the amp draw down.
@@daver18qc Not made to withstand direct heat from a heat gun I can asure you, It will change its viscosity super fast.. Been doing it in my Bajas for the past 10years.
Now that some time has passed how is it holding up? And what about shims in the diffs and outside on the bearing supports? Just about to get the V2.0 and I’m psyched. Will mos def do the 18t pinion. Ever go to heavier than one mil in the center?
Man so far so good. The #1 upgrade I can say at this point were the bulkheads. They solved the gear skipping issue I had as the stock ones flexed at the pinion and allowed it to skip.
Like #17 big difference what pinon ⚙ gear does this come with stock and have you had any sliping of the pinon gear that seems to be a common problem with the dbxle 2.0
I’ve should have two of the XLX2/1100kv systems today. Those go in the Kraton and Xmaxx. I’ll probably order another XLX2 and use an 800kv on the DBXLE
@@ExocagedRC I have one on my xmaxx got it from the dollar tree it's wrapped around the front bumper mounts and the handle hooks to the edge of the bumper it doesn't fall off

With these big vehicles I really need 9000mah batteries, the 5000's just don't really have enough to feed it properly.
That shot of the gears in the center diff was beautiful
Good tip about putting some locktite on the motor shaft!

That center diff is just huge. Badass rig with the pinion upgrade. Nice Vid !!!
Looking at getting one myself and fitting the 18t. Be good to know your runtimes flat out on grass with the 7200mah. Cant wait to see more
Like how your rocking the fluke temp gun. Good stuff.
Yeah man it’s a good one.
I have a dbxl-e 1.0 I put 1million weight in the center diff and 100k in the rear and 50k in the front and it makes it so much more fun to drive.

you want to make sure you wipe off any excess thread locker as it will never cure until it ends up oozingg in some place you don't want it.
I hit it with a paper towel but I'm pretty sure the rest slung off pretty quick.
Wonder if the diff fluid is to thick taking away from the steering and pulling from the front.
What do I know ... I dont own a basher or racer.
thx for the great vid! awesome to see some different diff fluid in the centre diff keep up the great work

Except sillicone diff and shock fluid is made specifically to not change viscosity with temp :)

I got some new tires for mine which i havent ran yet but i think they should help the overall performance of the vehicle.
Look into getting a Power HD 1/5 servos, I've heard they're pretty good for heavy vehicles.
I've heard through the grapevine a new servo is in the works..... I'm going to try to wait for that one.
Whooo i got to take number 2!! 😆 watchin now bro
Put the bottle of diff oil in some hot water for 10 minutes or so and it will flow quite a bit better.
yeah I shoulda done that for sure, maybe some boiling water for this stuff

I did have the stock pinion come loose, thats kinda why I showed the threadlocker on the shaft.
Looks like one of the bearings on that center diff was falling apart.
just the dust cover on the bearing, or a shim, I think. No big deal just pop it back in place.
I didn't see it, I'll have to look and see if its coming loose.
Love this FOX...🤘⚠️
Absolutely Flawless 😎💯
I see some people use a diff locker, is that better than just using a thicker diff fluid?
In some way yeah but I’d rather just have thicker oil in a basher or racer
I apply my million weight first part way then put in the spider gears and then top it off. Works easier for me
I always wonder why no 1 else does that?
How you liking the million weight in your center. Thats what i got in mine but thinking it could use bit more.
go a bit thicker, maybe silicone earplugs
Is ok to change just the center diff oil, or should all 3 be changed?
Would it be a good idea to do normal bashing with the 18t pinion? Would love to swap one into mine if it doesn't heat up the motor too much
From what I saw it ran well within a good temp range.
I cant find a 18T Pinion gear nowhere, Do you recommend any other size?
Just bought one today
What tires r those and how was the heat on the motor with that 18t I'm really wanting some for kick out of my new dbxl
Heat wasn’t bad. But summer is coming.
Have you considered a small table tripod?
Ey bro, Si le cambias el piñón y le pones el de 18 dientes pero le dejas el motor de serie qué velocidad llega? Gracias
Cool collection ✌️🔥
What did you use to clean out all of the old fluid?
Dish soap. It actually works for me.
I've been chewing up pinion gears 0n my dbxl every since I switched to the 18 tooth and don't know why . Anyone have any suggestions thanks
Mine does the same thing
@@ExocagedRC do you know why? I seen a video where they braced the back end of the motor. Don't know if that will work
How do you get your gears, and gear meshes so perfect??
lol I don't, I just get lucky sometimes.
Do you have the whole video of you taking out the center diff.
No sir. Just showed the highlights of it. It’s pretty straight forward in getting it out.
OK thank you
What do you think about installing the the new XLX2 ESC on the 2.0 and have you decided to go 2 mil on the diff?

Love the vid and info. What wheels and tires do you have on this rig?
Those are the Giant Grip tires I got from Dave’s Discount Motors
Can’t wait to get one!!!
If you don’t mind me asking where did you get your shelves
Hi nice video. What motor and esc are u running. What speed are u getting on your setup? Seems to be moving;)
Stock with 18t pinion
Awesome video I’m loving my losi as well, question where did you get the tires ?
Number one baby!!!
Not sure where you got that 18T pinion from; but, its tooth profile didn't look anything like the 13T you replaced. Hmmm...time will tell...LOL
It ran quieter from what I could tell.
what tires are those.
Hey! Exocaged RC, where did you get the 18 Tooth Pinion Gear ? What Brand is it? Also, is it a 1.5mm hole? Thanks! Great Video's!!!!
Amain or Amazon is where I get them. Need a link?
@@ExocagedRC Yes, Please and part number if you know it, Thanks!
Can it go 19 20 is there room !? Nice review
From what I’ve read 18 is the biggest it can fit
I’VE READ that FID makes a housing that’ll allow you to run 19T.
You seriously need a tripod.🤭
I have one but that won't travel and move with the vehicle.
Kraton 8s or the Losi?
hmmmm Kraton for fun but losi for raw strength
Xmaxx takes 20 million, I'm guessing this one needs similar. TRA5040
I think leave it stock is the best way to just turn up esc leave it alone if it's not broken don't fix it 😎😎
Do your radiolink RC6GS DRAIN YOUR TRANSMITTER BATTERIES FAST
haven't noticed much
Get The Spektrum Thing To Tune It
Probably should've went 2 million with the weight of this rig
Think it would help to just open it up and stick a couple silicone plugs in there with the 1m oil?
Still slow
When you gonna replace those servo links? I already see them bending.
Max5 would be a nice boost to perfromance and speed.
Well I haven’t seen the stock esc heat up yet. I have something in the works for the steering that really will bend those links.
Try 20mil bro i use gravity brand 20mil it works awesome and you can just grab it with your hand and roll it into chunks and shove it in the diff. 👍👊🦾
I’ll look that up thanks
