mine is 320td 2003reg looks like a similar problem to mine. Woke up with dashboard totally not working and car alarm just kept going on without any reason. Started the car and dashboard didn't work. All other functions such AC. and head lights and tail lights were working fine. But after and hour leaving the car switched off. Started again now dash lights came on, while only rpm meter worked , while coolant meter, speed, and mpg didn't work plus time and trip distance reset. Drove for a bit thinking might be battery problem so will charge a bit with driving, but when I parked and switched off. Took the key out, dashboard light turn on and indication of checking tail lights comes on. And they brake lights stay on even though car is parked and no key in the car. Hoping its a fuse problem so can try to change it my self.

No, never found a fix. Traded the car in not long after.
