Check the Fuse, find the fuse # for the instrument cluster, unplug,start car without, then plug back again and start, make sure the 3 instrument cluster fuses all good
My bmw is the same,no petrol or speedometer or signal,but car runs fine lights signal work on the outside,what actually is the problem?,as I’m told don’t go to bmw as they will rip you off ?,

Le problème viens d'un condensateur de 470µf a cote du régulateur LM2596S qui coule sur les pistes et ronge ces pistes sous ce condensateur ... Donc pas de 12 V présent sur broche N°1 du LM2596S !!

For me disconnecting the battery overnight cleared up the problem - in not only this case but with other odd things happening on my dash also. Hopefully a similar approach might work for you too....
Hello everyone. Have you solved your problem? my problem is very similar, the difference is, all of my dashboard lights come on when turning the ignition key ( how they are supposed to be), but when I turn on the car, only the info panel stays on. No turn indicators blinking and almost no backlight. (sometimes the light comes back on)To be accurate, the amber backlight is still there and I even can turn it up for a sec before it goes back. From what I read online, I assume it could be some sort of short somewhere so LCM goes in safe mode? Or I Bus cable? or maybe battery too low? I don't think it is the LCM (Light Control Module) because then the liights etc wouldnt work.
I had this problem today too and I disconnected power from the battery and removed all energy from system by putting battery jumper on battery cable and put them on ground literally on dirt and reconnect everything and it's fix hopefully it helps you guys
Hie l did that as well but still it is not starting but now the funny issue is l took my cluster and put it on my friends car and guess what his car is starting with my cluster and everything is not working including the gauges only the air bag light is on. I then took his cluster which is working properly and put it on my car and it is lighting everything and starting nicely so now my question is why is it my cluster as it is lighting only the air bag light and not starting my car and is starting another car with its same condition .why is it possilbe
As I recall, it was as simple as disconnecting the battery for a few hours - for me, overnight worked... although some sources I found said it could take longer. Good luck!

try replacing fuses amp 5 locations 10,34,43 all 3 5 amp fuses before putting fuse in turn ignition on then put them in

I had the same problem, you have to disassemble the board, the tracks on the back of the board are damaged and have to be resoldered
