    Has anyone figured out how to keep the black residue from getting on your freshly washed clothes!

  • @marytimmons2968

    I hate this washer. When I washed a sheet set on deep water cycle, there were areas on the sheets that weren't even wet when the cycle finished. Trying to wash black pants without leaving a residue is impossible!! I use very little liquid detergent to wash 4 pair of black pants on deep water cycle and they still come out with residue on them.

      I wear only black clothes so I feel your pain (no, I'm not in a sect)! First step is to clean the washer with the method shown in the video, using Afresh or a cheaper option from Amazon. Then I wash only small batches of the clothes that get the 'white marble' stains. If anyone has a better method, please manifest yourself!!

    I bought a brand new Whirlpool Cabrio back in 2007 when I bought my new home. I sold my home just over 5 years ago. And there wasn't a washer and dryer here. But, I didn't mind that because I would buy my own new one anyway. I did find the Cabrio was still made. I cannot believe that it was even improved upon! It came with a wew features. The washer has its self-cleaner! I run that about once every 2 months because I don’t have loads and loads of washing. And it makes my clothes CLEAN. The many options are incredible. And the Cabrio Dryer features are awesome!! It has steam cycle only to refresh clothes. And so many options. Also, if I put it on too long, it senses the moisture left in my clothes. If it still has 30 minutes of drying left on the timer, but the clothes are dry, it just gives you your warning buzz that it's finished. But will keep flipping the clothes every couple of minutes to keep them from getting wrinkled (if you put that setting on). If you want the BEST washer and dryer that will last for years, I it's in your budget, BUY IT! DON'T EVEN SECOND GUESS. It's my 2nd pair since 20007, and I always recommend them.

      Very surprised, I got a used one from a friend and I am upset. I even wasted $50 on. It watched all the videos I could find and it still doesn’t even put enough water in the tub to cover the clothes. We are farmers. We need an agitator. This thing is awful it even states it cleans the clothes by hitting them together. Well, I could go hose them on the driveway and do that. 🤦🏼‍♀️

    Every time I see these machines in action and read owners reviews, I'm baffled by their denial for owning this machine… When I worked for Sears, we had countless complaints about the Cabrio's. And anyone who pitched it to the customer was considered to be cold hearted. But, that's just the way of the game, I guess...

      @rke422 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had an issue after nearly 5 years of heavy use (2 adults, 2 kids) but the extended warranty I bought covered it - and get this, it was 4 years and 11 months into my 5 Year warranty when the problem light went on - but they covered it, no questions, needed a new $220 control panel + installlation, so I guess I would have been pissed if my warranty didn't cover it. These are very high voltage, very mechanically active machines (imagine the wear & tear given the centrifugal force of the spin rate), so they do have high breakdown rates amongst appliance in general. Plus, all the digital electronics they put in just have to be replaced when they fail...technically, you/they could probably go in and simply replace an LED, capacitor, or resistor, etc., but wastefully, it is what it is...

      I'm pretty sure my Clean Lint light comes on every time I use the dryer. I don't think it's an error message, I think it's just a reminder to clean the lint filter every time you use the dryer.

    • @Iscaper
      @Iscaper  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There have been a couple of times when we notice the washer isn't cleaning clothes very well. When that happens we pour a cup of bleach in the bleach dispenser and run the washer through a cleaning cycle. After the cleaning cycle be sure to run a rinse and spin cycle. The instruction manual recommends the cleaning cycle every month. Also leave the lid up after washing clothes.

    We have this washer & like it, although we are on "well water" so there's some (orange color) build up of iron. We would like to know if anyone else has this problem & what do they put into the washer to clean it...besides using 1 cup of bleach, it doesn't get rid of the orange stain on/in washer. Thank you, hope someone can help. p.s. We have product's like CLR & also Iron Out but haven't tried them because afraid it may not be good for the machine.

Thanks again for your help.

    those washers are complete trash. Older washers were made so much better. You never had to wash an older washer. It washed itself every time you washed your clothes

    • @goldilox3147

      Brian Seeney false Bryan you still have to wash a old washer I have one from early 2000 and I throw a dishwasher tab of plink tab in and run it. It's your water. You still have to clean them. Your water depending on your pipes can still get rust and cause your clothes to get moldy or stained. Always regardless New or old clean your washer. My washer is from 2003.

      iScaper1 I've consistently had a problem where my clothes aren't getting cleaned. In fact, last night I threw a few of those fabric refresh beads in, and pulled out laundry for the drying with a few dry beads. Some laundry doesn't even get wet.
