I've been following your for several years now. Congratulations on your marriage!! You two are a really great team & I love seeing you Sail, Explore, Work and Thrive Together. This project is turning out super nice!! I'm from the Bay Area in Sonoma County. Sebastopol. Never thought you would be here? Hope you enjoy some of your down time exploring and are being treated well. You are an inspiration in every way.

It's too late for Tula but for everyone else trying to remove smaller stubborn screws/nuts/bolts get a Rigid 3-speed impact driver. Its' first gear is really quite slow and controllable with the variable speed trigger. It gives you a steady TapTapTap that you can control and speed up as needed. It really saves the screw/bolt heads. And you always have the power and speed of 2nd and 3rd gear if you need it.

Absolutely fantastic!! The attention to detail is impressive. Can't wait to see what y'all end up fixing on the interior. Oh, to be young. It's taken me 2 days to move furniture, patch a few holes, and apply painter's tape to a 16x14 room. I'll paint tomorrow.......maybe.

I thought in the begining of this project it was crazy to get involved...I think I commented, "run away from that boat"....of course you guys are taking it on, and man, that hull is looking so sweet....you are totally proving me wrong, just awesome work! Really see the shape and lines of this trawler now....it is a beauty

For drilling out screws, use cobalt (or carbide) drill bits. A small set will generally be all you need. I have to take apart motorcycle motors for restoration work. These screws have been there for decades and I ALWAYS have a couple of them strip out or break. Nothing else will do. Cobalt/Carbide drill bits go right through them. Generally, quality easy-out kits include a matching size carbide drill bit. I keep a set on my boat as well. Had to use them to remove hardware when removing hatches.

Hey guys just a tip a while ago they stopped putting a ingredient into bottom paint that helped tremendously to stop life from growing on your hull so we add it back by getting the graphite in pencils by shaving it off into your paint and mixing it around with your paint it helps a lot

It is the new microfibre rollers mostly...not the paint necessarily. But the roller brands differ so try out until you find one that works in your area. They should have scuffed between coats. I have been doing it this way for 4 years.

It’s definitely the paint. Alexseal is great. I painted my old runabout and am now painting my sailboat. Prep is very important but this paint can be sanded and buffed or touched up easily. It’s very expensive but we’ll worth it.
