I've yet to hear Dr Peterson speaking live, so it's good to have this chance to see one of his lectures from the "We Who Wrestle With God" tour. Dr Peterson seems to have remained humble and grounded even after eight years of intense living in the spotlight. There's nothing fake about him. He's a gift to humanity, a shining light in a dark world, and long may it continue. I hope Dr Peterson is enjoying a well-earned rest over Christmas.
If you have the means, buy a somewhat front row ticket. I didn't and spent the whole conference looking at him through the screens of the theater instead of the actual person. It didn't feel any different (it was actually worse) than watching him on TH-cam.

Holy cow... I'm actually stunned beyond words, one of his best lectures yet by a long shot. Absolutely brilliant, I feel like this is what all of Dr. Peterson's work has been culminating into.
My thoughts exactly...I've listened to so many of his lectures multiple times, and JEEEEEEEZ if he doesn't spin a little bit of everything into this one. Bringing up ancient stories and illuminating insight while ALSO describing current events with clarity and guiding the ancient insight directly into the current system.
I became an educator from listening to Dr. Peterson in 2018. Now, I don't fail to learn frok his lectures. I love him and his philosophy and I love him more for his Spirituality. Life and death experience can improve a life of a great man like him. Bless his life. God bless us all. Merry Christmas.

My Father, who was an educator for 40 years, told me there are some professions that you must be called to do. The first was preaching, and the next was teaching, and obviously being a doctor/healer. Count yourself both blessed and somewhat cursed to be called to be a teacher. It's not an easy job but if you get your gratification from making students better prepared to deal with life, and not from whatever rewards the system provides/values it can be a fulfilling profession. @@kyranadrian on the contrary. He makes up sense to sound profound. The vast majority of his talks are truistic and if your mother told you the same thing in a simple language you would dismiss her. He has some good unconventional points but they are rarely the focus. The left bashes him for the insane takes and pretends there is nothing else in him while the right glorifies him for making simple things sound complex because mystery is a good excuse for absurdity. JP is worth listening to mainly to improve your capacity to articulate concepts and not for most of his ideas in particular.

We wrestle with God when we see our own precious child suffer from a painful illness, as JP’s daughter did. The daughter is thriving now, but the question remains - who is this God that we are dealing with, who is such a magnificent Designer of an intricately functioning world, yet He chooses a story in which children suffer? Who are you, Lord? And His answers, we cannot grasp. But we know His Son’s compassion and love, and we know how God’s precious child suffered and died. We respond. We struggle. And for my part, I worship God in gratitude and awe.
God didn't make the world of suffering, fate doesn't ræp children, destiny didn't butchered all those victims. We do, corruptible humans create Hell on Earth, and a fallen creation is what produces genetic degradation.
Satan accused God of not giving a promotion to him and selfishly holding on to power and knowledge. Satan also claimed that we are expected to be humble and sacrifice for others but God Himself does not sacrifice. The world waited century after century until the promise of the Lamb of God arrived to settle the question of whether God would dare to sacrifice to show His love for the people He made from the dust of the ground. God humbled Himself by leaving His power and glory in heaven and joined the human race that was made from the dust of the ground-dirt. While Satan was seeking to climb higher to be equal with God, the Word, who was with God and was God became flesh and dwelled with us. The Lamb of God made an infinite and eternal sacrifice dying in our place for us, so that we could be eternally secure from selfishness and sin. Please put down your weapons and stop resisting God’s invitation to learn of Him. He is offering us His power and glory and righteousness. Hallelujah!

After all these years, it's still incredible that we can watch these truly life-changing lectures, and experience them for free while sitting at home. It's great to see Dr. Peterson remain the way he was initially, only gaining more knowledge, sharing that knowledge, and expanding his ideas.

This world is fickle and there is no assurance of another, only an ancient prophesy or promise. You might as well believe the promise or be forever condemned to await big nothing. Praying you stays happy and healthy. Standing for over an hour while talking and periodically out of breath is not at all easy at his age. This lecture is one of those lectures for me that made me sit and listen with my undivided attention in just one go. Thank you, Sir.
This is exactly how I felt when I first discovered Dr. Jordan Peterson, with his first Biblical tour and I feel like this is just as important, awe inspiring, and fresh as those. This is when Dr. Peterson is at his best when he’s thinking to himself in a way so he’s not confined to staying with the story line of someone else. Speaking to crowds whether it’s on a theater stage or in a classroom, he seems to really stretch his mind the most in front of a live audience. You would think the opposite. These are some of the best experiences and journeys I’ve had mentally and spiritually. However many more there will be I’m so incredibly grateful for all that there already is. Thank you Dr. Peterson

Im so grateful that god has opened the door for us to understand his word. As i mature, i realize that everything god has revealed to us, is everything im suppose to be. After having 2 near death experiences , I can only tell you I am now a firm believer in the ascension of your soul upon leaving. Even though you may have done some bad things in your life , and depending on the level, if your soul has always been in the right place you will ascend . And if your soul is not nor ever has been in the right place , you do not ascend and that would be hell . A higher consciousness filtering out the destructive souls . As for " God " I think it's beyond arrogance to even think humanity can ever understand .

I'm 63 years old and I write things. Not that anyone truly cares or is inspired to request my thoughts on a matter, but it is like the words that are going through me are a living force begging to be released. I HAVE to let them out. They go out, but there is almost never a response. I've come to the conclusion that I must be invisible. Years ago I used to plan and think and organize my life on paper, and it was so effective, I was amazed by the outcome every time. The eloquence in your speeches is appalling to any thought that suggests not to pay attention especially, to the psychological meaning of why you so resonate with my experiences in the last decade. I'm 6:18 in and wanted to say that I have always had the proclivity of communicating extremely well, but, growing up I either did it very well or very poorly and the one time I probably did it best, better than anyone in the class, was because I understood the literature was about disappointment. That's always stuck with me. That disappointment was something I understood better than other people. I remember the teacher asking what the story was about, and of all the years and all the times my voice rang out. And it was about blueberries. It was about harvest. It was about pie. It was about kids. But it was about rain and mud and hope. It was about a beautiful day that got rained out.
This is just amazing. People don’t read the Bible any more and this basic stuff everyone learned and integrated as children in bygone ages is today brand new and desperately required! And Peterson offers living proof that we don’t need to be “religious” to benefit from these concepts.

I’ve been following Dr. Peterson for >5 years. He is a unique quantity and thinker, and the more he deconstructs the Bible, the more I appreciate him. He renewed my interest in the Bible. I don’t always agree with him, but at least I understand why he thinks the way he does bc he tries to defend his positions. Now that he’s under attack, I take him more seriously than ever before.

So much of what he says is original with him in the way he expresses it, even though the basic information he's using is ancient. What a gift to us. TH-cam allows us to take his classes for free. Abt what he said regarding grading students' essays, i had a similar experience i'd like to rant about. I had a presentation in my civics class about democracy in my first year.. and my group's schedule kept getting postponed because our professor got sick at the most comical timing, so i basically had months to cook up and polish and add to my part of the presentation, and i like to think i did a really good job of it. To tell you the gist of it, i basically just linked the concept of democracy and republic as two sides of the same coin of a solution trying to solve the disparities of the natural pareto distribution, and i even sprinkled some personality and psychometric theory in there to add some richer context as well as a little excerpt from Gulag Archipelago forward critiquing communism (which my professor joked about favouring for). At bottom, it was really just jordan peterson's ideas mish-mashed and distilled a bit, but i was really proud of what i'd made and excited to present it because i figured these were my genuine thoughts and top definitions, and my generation is very apolitical so i thought i'd also be introducing my classmates to politics in a very intuitive and curious way. Cut to D-day, the professor nodded along a bit in agreeable reception as i spoke my part, but then he cut me off like 1/3 of the way and told me, "i think that's enough information already, thank you." I stared in disbelief, I didn't even get to my gulag part. When he said that, my most cynical part immediately thought, "oh, so i guess you don't like actual learning, huh?" Seemed he'd rather spend the remaining 45 minutes on some bogus short task for the class to submit a cliche and lame answer to and fulfill some assignment quota rather than actually learn about the reasons behind these assignments. And my classmates seemed kinda interested and looked up from their phones a bit when listening to my presentation too, but overall they didn't look all that curious or excited about discussing these ideas as i was either. Sorry for the little rant, im just really peeved that this sharing of ideas that i've been preparing for months is just met with shut down and no reception. So i wanted to vent a bit to you all. Although i must admit i'm still very glad to have been given the chance to even presentate and reveal these thoughts and ideas to myself. In fact, i've actually been having this problem all my life. I can't seem to find anybody interested enough in these kinds of ideas and discussions as i am, and certainly no one of high quality character and integrity. I've always tried blaming myself for simply not being dilligent enough to find them, but i think i'm just at a rut and unable to find a solution. It's the one biggest pet peeve i have against my local community and even my whole country.

JP…as a former student with a dual major in accounting and business management, I can tell you 100% I wrote my papers on Nietzsche with the belief that if I didn’t copy and paste things in the historical sense, then I would fail. I wish professors would be upfront stating that originality would be perceived higher than copyrighting.

I've yet to hear Dr Peterson speaking live, so it's good to have this chance to see one of his lectures from the "We Who Wrestle With God" tour. Dr Peterson seems to have remained humble and grounded even after eight years of intense living in the spotlight. There's nothing fake about him. He's a gift to humanity, a shining light in a dark world, and long may it continue. I hope Dr Peterson is enjoying a well-earned rest over Christmas.

If you have the means, buy a somewhat front row ticket. I didn't and spent the whole conference looking at him through the screens of the theater instead of the actual person. It didn't feel any different (it was actually worse) than watching him on TH-cam.

My thoughts exactly...I've listened to so many of his lectures multiple times, and JEEEEEEEZ if he doesn't spin a little bit of everything into this one. My Father, who was an educator for 40 years, told me there are some professions that you must be called to do. The first was preaching, and the next was teaching, and obviously being a doctor/healer. Count yourself both blessed and somewhat cursed to be called to be a teacher. It's not an easy job but if you get your gratification from making students better prepared to deal with life, and not from whatever rewards the system provides/values it can be a fulfilling profession. @@kyranadrian on the contrary. He makes up sense to sound profound. The vast majority of his talks are truistic and if your mother told you the same thing in a simple language you would dismiss her. He has some good unconventional points but they are rarely the focus. The left bashes him for the insane takes and pretends there is nothing else in him while the right glorifies him for making simple things sound complex because mystery is a good excuse for absurdity. JP is worth listening to mainly to improve your capacity to articulate concepts and not for most of his ideas in particular.

We wrestle with God when we see our own precious child suffer from a painful illness, as JP’s daughter did. The daughter is thriving now, but the question remains - who is this God that we are dealing with, who is such a magnificent Designer of an intricately functioning world, yet He chooses a story in which children suffer? Who are you, Lord? And His answers, we cannot grasp. But we know His Son’s compassion and love, and we know how God’s precious child suffered and died. We respond. We struggle. And for my part, I worship God in gratitude and awe.

This world is fickle and there is no assurance of another, only an ancient prophesy or promise. You might as well believe the promise or be forever condemned to await big nothing. Praying you stays happy and healthy. Standing for over an hour while talking and periodically out of breath is not at all easy at his age. This lecture is one of those lectures for me that made me sit and listen with my undivided attention in just one go. Thank you, Sir.
This is exactly how I felt when I first discovered Dr. Jordan Peterson, with his first Biblical tour and I feel like this is just as important, awe inspiring, and fresh as those. This is when Dr. Peterson is at his best when he’s thinking to himself in a way so he’s not confined to staying with the story line of someone else. Speaking to crowds whether it’s on a theater stage or in a classroom, he seems to really stretch his mind the most in front of a live audience. You would think the opposite.
These are some of the best experiences and journeys I’ve had mentally and spiritually. However many more there will be I’m so incredibly grateful for all that there already is. Thank you Dr. Peterson

There are so many great things being said. I appreciate seeing him live again before the Ontario Psychology Board tried to stop him from speaking. Love this guy. As a man that gets distracted sometimes when he walks to the right his suit is blue. When he walks to the left his suit is red. I think we need more Dr. Jordan Peterson. After having 2 near death experiences , I can only tell you I am now a firm believer in the ascension of your soul upon leaving. Even though you may have done some bad things in your life , and depending on the level, if your soul has always been in the right place you will ascend . And if your soul is not nor ever has been in the right place , you do not ascend and that would be hell . A higher consciousness filtering out the destructive souls . As for " God " I think it's beyond arrogance to even think humanity can ever understand .

I'm 63 years old and I write things. Not that anyone truly cares or is inspired to request my thoughts on a matter, but it is like the words that are going through me are a living force begging to be released. I HAVE to let them out. I send them out to various people, the few in my inner circle that tolerate them, with little feedback and to a particular entity that sparked something that needed to be responded to. They go out, but there is almost never a response.
I've come to the conclusion that I must be invisible.

I'm 6:18 in and wanted to say that I have always had the proclivity of communicating extremely well, but, growing up I either did it very well or very poorly and the one time I probably did it best, better than anyone in the class, was because I understood the literature was about disappointment. That's always stuck with me. That disappointment was something I understood better than other people.
I remember the teacher asking what the story was about, and of all the years and all the times my voice rang out. And it was about blueberries. It was about harvest. It was about pie.
It was about kids.
But it was about rain and mud and hope.
It was about a beautiful day that got rained out.
This is just amazing. People don’t read the Bible any more and this basic stuff everyone learned and integrated as children in bygone ages is today brand new and desperately required! And Peterson offers living proof that we don’t need to be “religious” to benefit from these concepts.

The essential first principle of identity is that we are children of God.

Where in the Bible does it say that everyone is a child of God? Well, we might read 1 John 3:1 and think that.
1Jn 3:1 See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we would be called children of God; and we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
But, we need to read in context. John is writing to believers in Christ who have been reborn. He is writing to those who are children of God. He is not writing to those outside of the true church.
Jhn 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
We see in John 1 that we have to BECOME children of God. Think of what Jesus said to the Pharisees, that their father is the devil! We are all born apart from God. Only when we say yes to Christ, yes to His free offer of salvation, are we ADOPTED into God's family and become His children.

But, we need to read in context. John is writing to believers in Christ who have been reborn. He is writing to those who are children of God. He is not writing to those outside of the true church.
Jhn 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
We see in John 1 that we have to BECOME children of God. Think of what Jesus said to the Pharisees, that their father is the devil! We are all born apart from God. Only when we say yes to Christ, yes to His free offer of salvation, are we ADOPTED into God's family and become His children.
Eph 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him in love,
Eph 1:5 by predestining us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

I’ve been following Dr. Peterson for >5 years. He is a unique quantity and thinker, and the more he deconstructs the Bible, the more I appreciate him. He renewed my interest in the Bible. I don’t always agree with him, but at least I understand why he thinks the way he does bc he tries to defend his positions. Now that he’s under attack, I take him more seriously than ever before.

At 16:18 you hear some of why Dr Peterson is a teacher on the level of Plato and Aristotle. So much of what he says is original with him in the way he expresses it, even though the basic information he's using is ancient. What a gift to us. TH-cam allows us to take his classes for free. He has his body of essential books for a full Western education on his website, which he edits periodically.

I am so blessed to live in this time frame that enables me to listen and learn from this brilliant and humble man.
Abt what he said regarding grading students' essays, i had a similar experience i'd like to rant about.
I had a presentation in my civics class about democracy in my first year.. and my group's schedule kept getting postponed because our professor got sick at the most comical timing, so i basically had months to cook up and polish and add to my part of the presentation, and i like to think i did a really good job of it.
To tell you the gist of it, i basically just linked the concept of democracy and republic as two sides of the same coin of a solution trying to solve the disparities of the natural pareto distribution, and i even sprinkled some personality and psychometric theory in there to add some richer context as well as a little excerpt from Gulag Archipelago forward critiquing communism (which my professor joked about favouring for). At bottom, it was really just jordan peterson's ideas mish-mashed and distilled a bit, but i was really proud of what i'd made and excited to present it because i figured these were my genuine thoughts and top definitions, and my generation is very apolitical so i thought i'd also be introducing my classmates to politics in a very intuitive and curious way.
Cut to D-day, the professor nodded along a bit in agreeable reception as i spoke my part, but then he cut me off like 1/3 of the way and told me, "i think that's enough information already, thank you." I stared in disbelief, I didn't even get to my gulag part. When he said that, my most cynical part immediately thought, "oh, so i guess you don't like actual learning, huh?" Seemed he'd rather spend the remaining 45 minutes on some bogus short task for the class to submit a cliche and lame answer to and fulfill some assignment quota rather than actually learn about the reasons behind these assignments. And my classmates seemed kinda interested and looked up from their phones a bit when listening to my presentation too, but overall they didn't look all that curious or excited about discussing these ideas as i was either.
Sorry for the little rant, im just really peeved that this sharing of ideas that i've been preparing for months is just met with shut down and no reception. So i wanted to vent a bit to you all. Although i must admit i'm still very glad to have been given the chance to even presentate and reveal these thoughts and ideas to myself.
In fact, i've actually been having this problem all my life. I can't seem to find anybody interested enough in these kinds of ideas and discussions as i am, and certainly no one of high quality character and integrity. I've always tried blaming myself for simply not being dilligent enough to find them, but i think i'm just at a rut and unable to find a solution. It's the one biggest pet peeve i have against my local community and even my whole country.
Damn I hope we at least have another 50 years of Peterson!

JP…as a former student with a dual major in accounting and business management, I can tell you 100% I wrote my papers on Nietzsche with the belief that if I didn’t copy and paste things in the historical sense, then I would fail. I wish professors would be upfront stating that originality would be perceived higher than copyrighting.
