Congrats on the great finish! You are one of the reasons I started my 40K adventure. Been slowly putting together Black Templars this year. Love the process.
GREAT JOB WARBOSS!!! I wish i had seen this video before going over your list! I appreciated the gaz+moz combo and the painboy was a twist that i greatly appreciated!! Ill be sure to share this on my discord ! WAAAAAAGGHHHHH!!!!
Back in the hobby after a nearly 15 year hiatus. Happy to se eone of my favorite youtubers into it! Also shoutout for pickinf the funy army and nor worryinf about Meta. Warhammer is about the models, the playing and the experience. I generally like competitve liata but always try to sqieeze in a personal pet model or unit.
One green tide lover to another: Get movement trays to help your game go faster. Just take them off if the spaccing matters. Also have your dice arranged in batches of 10 and 5 at the start to make building pools faster. I even keep a dedicated pool of 30 because I hit that number so often. I am a huge fan of mass bikes in this edition, lots of players are not optimized to deal with mass toughness 6.
Your enthusiasm for the game is evident in the way you describe your experience, I hope you get to do more of it. Thanks for the content, paint them more yellow and red so they go faster and make bigger boom!
Commendable that you're painting your orks to such a high standard. I collect, Marines (Ultramarines, Blood Angles, Space Wolves, Dark Angles, Salamanders, Iron hands, Whites Scars, Raven Guard, Great Knights and Templars) Orks, Chaos, (Just black legion) Death Guard, Thousand Sons, Imperial Guard, Custodies, Ad Mech, Sisters, Nids, Cult, Daemons (every God) Necrons, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Knights, and Tau. Some of the Armies are well over 10,000 points. I don't play with unpainted armies so most of my forces are just base coated. If I'm really into a faction I'll give them some love. But from three feet away, it's good enough for me. It's insane I know, but 90% of the armies were brought through discounted battleforce boxes back when you could pick them up third party for £70 and cheap ebay and Facebook deals. I got a 4000pt grey Knight army off ebay for £140 in eighth when they were really shit.
Awesome work with the great finish mate! Really happy for you, especially with an army that you're so passionate with on the hobby side as well as the gaming side.
Congrats on the great result with da ladz! Point on the clock game, if you made the point of specifically asking for a clock your opponent is well within their rights to make you roll your activations even if its a forgone conclusion. Dice do dice things all the damn time. Aside from that your paint scheme is great and models looks amazing. Oh and beastsnaggas getting to S6 is a big difference from S5 for the boyz in the waaaagh. Well worth the 20pts but should def go with a beastboss.
What on Earth is happening. So I've been listening to you for about a year now for your magic content. I slowed down recently because I've gotten into warhammer heavily. Well here I am scrolling, see you, but also see warhammer. I think my phone is glitching and that it just swapped titles on videos, but boy was I wrong. Sorry for the late discovery but I am HYPED now!
Love the tournament rap up and a chat about your experience. Always good to hear about someone having a good time at a GT. Kitbashing is also one of my favourite parts of the hobby that I always try to work in somehow into each of my armies, so I absolutely loved seeing the mozrog conversion!!
You've reminded me of when I was part of a store group heading to warhammer world for a tournament and I was frantically painting fenrisian wolves at every stop the bus made! managed to get them done by the time we got there, thank you dry brushing fur!
Yes! Great video, love your content. Incidently you did do a video about taking your custards to a tournament and doing really well. Well done for the trophy. Time to start Peasant tactics, £400 for flood the board with knobs gold tier course.
You are a large reason I picked up the Leviathan box earlier in the year! I haven't played yet, but my wife and I have been happily painting up our Marines and Bugs respectively. Fun to see more WH content from you :)
My best buddies and I played our first event 2 weeks ago, and had an absolute blast. Our local gang is absolutely wonderful, very understanding of our inexperience and very helpful. The 40k community on the whole just seems really inviting.
Thanks! I wish more 40k youtubers explained their armies and tactics like you do. You don't assume i know all the lingo, so i can follow and even learn enough to finally play!
Not convinced with Ghaz. Love his model. I like Mozrog and the Beastboss on Squigisaur to be my distraction. 4+ FNP on them, the 5+ FNP on the squighog boys is kinda insane. Painbosses make beast snagga Boyz live through so much. I've been rocking world eaters but I think I might switch to the greenskins for a bit.
Yea they did ghaz dirty this edition. No sweep/less toughness/less attacks/no FNP & abilites are very lackluster. Makari is still cool though. 2++ is fun to mess with.
I'm glad to see you putting out videos on this channel again. Hope all is well with baby and family. I'm sure there have been updates on the main channel but magic ain't my jam. Just love the pleasantest of Kenobis and a Warhammer commentator that I am 95% sure isn't a fascist piece of work. A legitimate worry with this hole of TH-cam. 😅
I just started playing 40k, the social contracts and are different. EDH is full of gotcha moments, but gotcha hammer is frowned upon. It's interesting what are acceptable play behavior in the two games' culture.
Love hearing about this. Makes me want to get another tournament in. SO far I've only played in a small store event, 8 players/3 rounds. Had a great time though.
Great work on your performance at this tournament! I know you're bummed that your models aren't all parade worthy, but the ones that are looking phenomenal, and your WIP models look really clean at their current stage. You've got a warband that this Warboss would happily look forward to krumping
I’m going to be spamming the comments to help the video and get some interaction with you before the channel blows up! I’m literally sat here painting orks, I picked up a couple of those new battleforce boxes. Your list looks really interesting. It’s very similar to a list I’m aiming for. Obviously I’m going very Beast Snagga heavy, taking Mozrog, three beastbosses and boyz in trucks and a beast boss on Squiosaur. In test games I like the beastboss on squig just for the reroll to charge even though he’s no Mozza. Maybe I'm just missing the old rules? To me you take beast snagga boyz just as a beastboss delivery system! They dish out so much damage. I’m tempted to bring 30 Lootas to screen the backfield with a painboss, it’s 300+ points but I don’t think they’re going to be targeted with all the horrible Beast Snagga stuff charging them down. And I have almost 30 painted (just need some spanners with mega blasters) and like the twat I am I didn’t do it in subassemblies so it was a fucking nightmare. So I want to play them... 48 inch range, rapidfire one, 2 shots, strength eight AP -1 and damage 2 not to mention 6 mega blasters. They could solve the problem of charging into chaff with the big stuff. Maybe even chipping odd wound off a vehicle? I remember having some cheap auto cannon guard heavy weapons squads back in the day, and they put in some serious work because they just got ignored. I loved it, every turn thud thud thud. Downing one or two Marines really earning their points back by the end of the game. But in my heart of hearts I know 300 points is probably better spent on more squig boys or knobs...
The main shooting tool Orks have, that I meant to mention here, is Badruk and 10 Flashgitz in a trukk. Once they jump out, he gives them re-roll hits on 40 shots at the closest thing, or 30 down field. They chew up alot of stuff ans crwck transports. I think the lack of the rerolls on the Lootas makes them a little weak. Perhaps fun casually, but at an event they would be top expensive and too unreliable.
@@pkswarroom Lootas get rerolls too. Hear me out. Badruk and 10 Flashgitz in a trukk, 330pts. The Flashgitz have a slightly weaker gun, 40 shots with full rerolls + whatever Badruk fires. 30 Lootas have 48 deffgun shots at with a 48 inch range. Within 24 inches it's 72 shots with 6 custom mega blaster shots. But lootas get rerolls inbuilt, full rerolls if you're firing at a unit on a objective, reroll ones if not. Without character support. They also cost less at 300pts, have more wounds, screen the backfield, and come in two squads. I think they might have some play.
Beast Snagga Boyz are worth it, 20points for S5 is huge, so much in the game is T5 these days. Beast Snaggas are actually a threat to alot of, not 2+ save, infantery that normal boys will bounce on.
Took me a min to remember "knob falls out" is a double entendre across the pond LOL

Dude you have gotten so good at painting Wtf
I think I'm pretty alright haha.
A painting guide for the orks would be awesome.
Noted!

Rolling buckets of dice is the joy of orks.
