When the dad walked into the studio and went "These are orcs!" you could hear every happy memory he had playing his old army in his voice. Yall did an amazing job! Great job Squidmar team for making such a moment possible.
As a 44 yr old ork player since Rogue Trader, I cried when a burglar broke into my flat and trashed a tactical bag of old orks. To have my entire ork collection stolen would destroy me.
That man spent 25 years working 2 jobs so his family could live the dream. And the looked so genuinely happy. As happy as a stoic older work horse can look.
He reminds me a lot of my dad. He gave up everything raising 4 kids as a single father. So now that we're grown he gets spoiled. He's been to Hawaii 3 times in the last couple of years (he literally camps on the beach he loves it), my brother hand built him a motorcycle, I buy him cool guns and take him on hunting trips. We legit don't deserve him
This is why I subscribe to your videos. I love the genuine joy when the project received the green light. It's nice to see Tacticus giving back as well.
Yea... I knew I would want an ork army eventually... So I started making boyz from the 2018 kit as I figured they would take a ton of time and effort to get that green tide rolling... 7 of 120 to go... Just assembling... Takes me a good amount of time just cleaning the mold lines up and all that. xD Probably a long term project, and that is not including the other ork units eventually.
Words can not sufficently describe the wonderful gift you guys gave this man(and his son). For all of you to to give yourselves for three weeks, so that one man may experience such joy is priceless.
I could see in Emils eyes how stressed and focused he was but such an amazing effort to get it all done in that time and it was beautiful to see his Dad with tears of happiness. You guys make dreams come true 🙂
Loved wen he finally realized that it was his orks, i bet that inside he was jumping like a kid on christmas morning, this is what our community is for, to help people dreams become true. Thanks Emil and Lukas and the Tacticus team.
That was amazing, you can tell how shocked and moved he was when you told him they were for him. Great job guys doing something amazing for someone who lost what they had. Lukas definitely deserves many cookies 🍪.
Probably my favorite video so far, its a harsh world we live in, wonderfull to know that we have people that still care to make a difference! Emil, Lukas Anton, great job!❤
Wow soooooo cool. What a nice gesture. Downloaded tacticus immediately. I have built a 3.5k tyranid army for my daughter and a 3.5k ork army for my son and i have been painting 8 hours a day for 2 months straight. I knid of felt you guys' pain whilw watching this. I cant paint for shit though. I juat hope my kids will always remember me giving them their first armies. And hope they have legendary memories later in life of growing up and playing 40k together. You guys arw so kind to have done that for that man. Bless your hearts❤
You guys are absolutely amazing and a big thankyou too your sponsors. What i wouldn't do just too have a squad of mine painted up by Emile and Lucas. At the end you could also see how his dad appreciated it.
Good Lord, the old man s in tears. It must have been hard of a trauma to lose those minis back then. If you create something with your life time and it is gone some part of you goes with it. Loss can be hard. Great gift of yours to heal that wound.
Honestly I'm stunned by the work you guys put into this gift, we've all tried painting too many models for the time left before an upcoming game and you guys went through ALL the pain and struggles I recognise. Looking at the models it's a masterclass in putting your time into the most impactful areas of the minis in the most impactful ways so that as a mass army they look genuinely striking. Such a great story, such a deserving guy, but all was only made possible by the enormous personal effort you put in. I'll go try Tacticus now using the link to thank the sponsor
You can tell his dad isnt normally one to be outwardly emotional, but was it was breaking through. Very awesome glad he will get a chance to re live something he enjoyed so much.
this is the part of the hobby i truly love fans looking out for other fans from simple help to a massive gift thanks made this old veteran of the hobby glassy eyed as well
C'est une belle histoire, je commente peu mais je suis content que vous ayez fait cela pour cette personne. Vous êtes des gens bien. Merci. It's a great story, i don't comment alot but i'm glad you do this for this man. You are great people. Thanks you.
This is why Emil, Lukas and the crew are the best! Seeing tears of happiness in a hobbyists face when he probably thought he will never be able to play again is just the best! Respect!
Oh my goodness. What a phenomenal story. I think that’s what I like about the hobby the most: people helping people. I legitimately cried the last bit of the video. While I don’t play Tacticus anymore, I’m super excited to see them also taking part in this massive undertaking!! I think it speaks volumes about them as well. Let’s fricken go! I’m overjoyed to see you right a massive injustice all those years ago!! Btw, Lucas won the battle wagon challenge lol
Having been a witness all these years of the constant quipping and snarky back and forth between Lukas and Emil, i can say with confidence Lukas is my spirit animal. I can only admire his incredible fortitude to resist Emil's ludicrous deadlines. What an evil evil man...
Wow guys...this is such a grand and generous gesture. Very touching, very moving. You did these Orks and that hard working father very good. That's amazing.
I've been painting and converting for over 40 years now, Losing even a squad of my beloved Space Wolves would inspire an epic rage, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose EVERYTHING. I imagine his Orks were his escape from trying to be a husband/father and the endless daily grind of it all. You didn't just make his day or year, you gave him back his hobby and joy.
This looks amazing, simply stunning, the sheer talent and perseverance you guys have, the whole team, that alone is worthy of praise and everything you built, but the kindness, the sharing of the hobby, being able to give back, that's what truly sets you apart as the best warhammer channel any fan could hope for, congratulations for the amazing army, paintjob, video, for making someone's inner kid happy to be able to enjoy this game once more. Hope you guys always have this spirit and success
I am amazed at this army. I am a slow and methodical painter and I am impressed at how savvy prioritising and planning can produce impressive results. I tend to pick out each detail painstakingly but it's impressive how much of the character of a model can be brought out with such minimalism. I know that sounds a bit of a backhanded compliment but it's not intended to be so. It's inspiring to see that once the focal points of a model are painted well it just makes everything fall into place. You also reserved the cool detail work for the focal models. I am interested in painting models for other people and so I am paying close attention to how to make an army stand out without taking years to paint it. ❤
hey Boss.... totally random question from a stranger.... Can you paint these minis with pastels?.... this thought just jumped into my head... and rather than let it die a lonely death like all the others.... I actually want to know. part of me thinks that you will never be able to layer enough to make the colours look and feel real... and another part of me knows that the skin tones and 'vehicle use' would look 10x better do pastels even stick to these?
That was awesome! Between you guys, Tacticus, and Karl you have really made a huge impact on Val. That amount of dedicated painting time to a specific army on a deadline? *salute* I couldn't do it. An incredible army, an incredible result and incredibly heart warming! Cheers from Melbourne, Australia
I would give anything just to chill for a week with friends going on a painting spree. Haven't done it in close to 20 years now. Some of my happiest memories.
Dude you guys are so genuine. You just want to use your platform to make fun and useful videos and help people out. The surge of excitement and happiness you showed in the approval of the sponsorship made me well up a bit. It's so cool to see these kinds of videos. And big props to Tacticus. They don't have to do any of this. And they really aren't gaining anything out of the video or sponsoring. Sure they get a blurb on your video but like did they really make that money back? Probably not; they're actually giving back.
Such a beautiful gift to a man that gave up his joy just to be given it back after such a long time. Thanks guys, this was such a great and moving gesture
Im watching this video while playing Taticus! Pretty awesome of them to sponsor this video, and even more amazing all the time and effort you put in to help this man. You guys kick so much ass!
You guys are great, thank you for doing this for this man. You can see he doesn't really react much because nobody has ever done something similar for him in his entire life. I could tell you made this dudes whole life and let him know he's done a good job rising his son. I hope the army sticks with this family for generations.
You do a great job! So proud about warhammer 40k wargame and tacticus community. Those was remembered how my dad in the 2002-2004 buy some 40k boxes to me. Unfortunately I sold all of them and leave the hobby after some years. Great years enjoyed 40k universe.
I like your paint work . I can't paint worth a flip. I do a lot of ORK kit bashing. I made an ORK truck with an second deck to land Deft copter as a mobile landing pad
What an amazing effort on your part! It was wonderful seeing Val in complete shock--and how long it seemed to take to sink in. Thank you (and Tacticus!) for making such an amazing project.
That is an man who set aside things of his youth to be a Husband and father. You can see the joy he lost with that theft flooding back to him in his later years. This was an awesome video.
This is honestly one of the coolest videos I've seen. Thank you for doing this. And another thing, painting mini's like this is called 'having talent'. It's an art. Very cool video. Thank you for making me smile :D
I've never played warhammer but this was so touching to watch, i thought I'd just skip to the end but ended up watching every second. well done guys on such an outstanding job in a short time
This is so wholesome. I really felt your sacrifice in the vlogs. Probably my favorite video from you guys so far. BTW Lucas Killa rig was the winner IMO.
massive respect. Giving away so much time can be much harder than giving away money. I'm barely at 200 hours on my own and it took me 8 months to get there. I could not imagine giving it away. Respect
Wow...... just awesome. That was an amazing thing you guys did. Really sweet to see and I am sure all that hard work paid off seeing that old man smile and tear up at such a generous and thoughtful gift. This is the kind of content that lifts people up. Thanks Emil and Lucas!

I caught that too :)
Second!!!
As a 44 yr old ork player since Rogue Trader, I cried when a burglar broke into my flat and trashed a tactical bag of old orks. To have my entire ork collection stolen would destroy me.
Thats why you need to be paranoic and start building secret compartments to hide your stuff.
The evil truth is: This was just a ploy to give Lukas PTSD from his yellow colouring phase. Evil Emil strikes again
Ever notice how evil and emil are only a letter different? Coincidence? I think not !
confirmed
OMFG Grumpy Lucas is ENTERTAINING AF Lucas. 😂😂😂
It's great how Tacticus sponsored this video. It's crazy thinking how many piles of cookies Lukas must have been paid for this...
That man spent 25 years working 2 jobs so his family could live the dream. And the looked so genuinely happy. As happy as a stoic older work horse can look.

Wow, hearing my boss out nowhere in a call with my favorite TH-camr is really frking surreal. so happy we did this colab!
You guys make a great product! I have been playing for the last month every day!
This is why I subscribe to your videos. I love the genuine joy when the project received the green light. It's nice to see Tacticus giving back as well.
Now THIS is the content that makes TH-cam a worthwhile platform
When he says "these are orcs" and "I used to..." you can see Emil feeling that all this work was worth it.
As an ork player it does my heart good to see you react to the amount of mini's it takes to make an ork army.
Yea... I knew I would want an ork army eventually... So I started making boyz from the 2018 kit as I figured they would take a ton of time and effort to get that green tide rolling... 7 of 120 to go... Just assembling... Emil, Lucas and Anton, good guys who did a good job!
Words can not sufficently describe the wonderful gift you guys gave this man(and his son). For all of you to to give yourselves for three weeks, so that one man may experience such joy is priceless.
What a generous gift. Great offer from your sponsors. Keep up the awesome videos.
I could see in Emils eyes how stressed and focused he was but such an amazing effort to get it all done in that time and it was beautiful to see his Dad with tears of happiness. You guys make dreams come true 🙂
It's raining outside. Great entertainment making people happy. Thank you sponsor, thank you Squidmar crew. Giant effort, worth it.
It's raining inside too
Old timers in Warhammer are the best, they just have the love and appreciation for the hobby that GW lost a long time ago.
Yeah thats why they still produce everything in the uk, pay out their employees and have the best quality minis on the market
Loved wen he finally realized that it was his orks, i bet that inside he was jumping like a kid on christmas morning,
this is what our community is for, to help people dreams become true.
Thanks Emil and Lukas and the Tacticus team.
I had a huge sigh of relief seeing that last shot of the guys loading up the minis in specialized bags with foam protectors.
That's Emil's old space Ork collection haha, he's just showing them off
Well it's not often I cry watching painting videos. What a thing to do guys. That man was so happy.
That was amazing, you can tell how shocked and moved he was when you told him they were for him. Great job guys doing something amazing for someone who lost what they had. Lukas definitely deserves many cookies 🍪.
Lukas is my favorite slacker. Everytime the camera caught him, he was playing Tacticus. That's what you get for a cookie!
Nice one Tacticus, absolute top quality video again
Probably my favorite video so far, its a harsh world we live in, wonderfull to know that we have people that still care to make a difference! Emil, Lukas Anton, great job!❤

What a warm and lovley episode. The end when you reveal that the army is made for him really made you smile! 👌🏻

You guys make this stuff way to awesome. The people can’t react accordingly, because they can’t believe it.
You can tell his dad isnt normally one to be outwardly emotional, but was it was breaking through. Very awesome glad he will get a chance to re live something he enjoyed so much.
These are by far my favorite type of videos, because of how happy the people become
this is the part of the hobby i truly love fans looking out for other fans from simple help to a massive gift
thanks made this old veteran of the hobby glassy eyed as well
This is the type of news I would rather watch after work. Something wholesome that gives joy to someone and the people watching.
This is such a nice story. This is why I watch you guys while I paint my army, you inspired me to come back after 20 years away.
You Guys Rock! What an amazing Gift!
This really cute. You can tell the father appreciated the gift. You guys did great on this video.
C'est une belle histoire, je commente peu mais je suis content que vous ayez fait cela pour cette personne. Vous êtes des gens bien. Merci.
It's a great story, i don't comment alot but i'm glad you do this for this man. You are great people. Thanks you.
What a lovely gesture, I bet he is really really grateful for the gift and honestly how lovely is it that father and son can play together like that
Cant imagine to loose an army this way, and then there is this awesome Community and Squidmar doing this. Congrats Boys you are all awesome
This is why Emil, Lukas and the crew are the best! Seeing tears of happiness in a hobbyists face when he probably thought he will never be able to play again is just the best! Respect!
HEY! Nothing (not even ork boys, maybe the deff dread, the 'wagon is nice too) is better than my mother! She's a saint!
Lukas won due to the amazing details in the painting.
Truly amazing gift…. Such wonderful compassion… great job on the painting as usual 👍🫡 thanks for sharing 🇬🇧🫡🍻👍
I must say Lucas painting is out of this world. Details are amazing. 😉. Just look at those details of shadowing a.s.o.
Incredible video guys - what an amazing thing to do

Who the hell is cutting onions in my office??? Excellent thing to do for a total stranger, well done.
I can confirm that gift did not go to me. I guess I have to paint my own orks. Lol 😂
I've been painting and converting for over 40 years now, Losing even a squad of my beloved Space Wolves would inspire an epic rage, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose EVERYTHING. This is a prove that warhammer brings prople together. Aaaamazing work ❤
I appreciate seeing Emil and Lukas putting in the extra hours for this project. Good job man! And good on your whole team for delivering.
Those last few minutes hit me in the feels….damn onion ninjas

What an incredible gift.❤ The look on his face had to be worth all the hours you poured into the project.
I always thought lucas was just short, but damn emil is freakishly tall.
Best part was watching you give the army to the gentleman. I realized I was smiling watching him look at the army. Great job Squidmar!!!
2:06 "Pheck yeah let's go!"
Such a beautiful gift to a man that gave up his joy just to be given it back after such a long time. Thanks guys, this was such a great and moving gesture

_"But I'm an Evil Sunz player...."_ ~the recipient 😱
Simply amazing work, what a gesture, this is exactly why I keep coming back to this channel. Simply pure heart and Lucas getting cookies ( sometimes)
Ok tacticus, that got me to get your game. Wonderful orks folks, #TeamLukas for the big guy though.
You do a great job! So proud about warhammer 40k wargame and tacticus community. Those was remembered how my dad in the 2002-2004 buy some 40k boxes to me. Unfortunately I sold all of them and leave the hobby after some years. Great years enjoyed 40k universe.

They sound more and more like an old couple 😂
Your team and Tacticus are remarkable individuals. This was an incredible video…. one of my favorites.
Never thought I'd cry watching a warhammer painting video. Damn guys - really heart-warming stuff.
This is honestly one of the coolest videos I've seen. Thank you for doing this. And another thing, painting mini's like this is called 'having talent'. It's an art. Very cool video. Thank you for making me smile :D
10:16 ty for the fan service
I've never played warhammer but this was so touching to watch, i thought I'd just skip to the end but ended up watching every second. well done guys on such an outstanding job in a short time
what the hell..... is that youtube trying to censor his lips at 8:18?
It was on his finger for me what the hell
Why was it blurred?
I love their ability to compliment their own work. Self love is dope.
Like Subscribe and hit the bell. Videos like this need more attention. Please comment for the algo too!
Superb effort to all involved, Val was clearly very moved by the tremendous gesture!
its is clearly their biggest WAAAAAAAAGH
This is so wholesome. I really felt your sacrifice in the vlogs. Probably my favorite video from you guys so far. BTW Lucas Killa rig was the winner IMO.
6:20 did he just eat the brush????💀💀💀💀
Amazing job!
Congratulations for all this hard work, the production quality, and thank you Tacticus too!
lucas
What a beautiful action by you and this man's son. You did an awesome job, the minis are looking fantastic! Congratulations to the man!
What a wonderful gift and video. There is no love like the hard work and time you put in to reinstate joy into the life of a stranger.
massive respect.
