  • We've had several cats and dogs scratch through screens with their claws. It's really annoying. So when I ran across this screen that was supposed to protect against damaging pets, I figured it was worth a shot.

    Thank you so much for this. I'm disabled living in subsidized housing and I cannot afford for my cat to rip through my screens because I'm responsible for them. I have to pay within 30 days and that's what I'm about to have to do. My cat has ripped through one of my screens now. There goes $20 down the drain. I hope this product isn't too expensive.

      It was a little more than normal screen but not that much I don't think. Definitely cheaper than having to do multiple normal screens. Good luck!

    My cat went full blast, head first, through the door. Slamming the door out of the rails and out to the opposite wall. Were on the wall, happened to be a decoration deerantler...... My god

    The problem with my cat is that they seem to push the spline out, despite having a pet resistant screen and the properly sized spline.

    Aluminum screen is cheaper and works.

    Just got mine installed yesterday. See how it holds up. My kitties aren’t as determined as yours though. I will comment in a year from now on how it holds up to my 5 cats 🐈‍⬛ 😉🐈‍⬛😉

    My cat has started pushing the screen out of the door and escaping. I think I need a screen guard or a new screen door.

    Where can I buy this brand? I’ve searched the net and cannot find it. Thanks.

      I got it at Menards, but I didn't see it last time I was in there. I'm not sure the company makes it any more. There is another brand being sold there now. I haven't personally tried it out, but it looks essentially the same.

    I am now room mates with a cat burglar who literally tore her way through my screen a few days after my cat passed away. I've been wondering what I was going to do for a screen. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Thanks, that would be better to use as replacement screen eve if you didn't have a cat.

      It is difficult because it’s thick. Make sure to pick up the correct spline. They come in different sizes. Do not reuse your existing spline. It won’t hold.

    Is it darker than a regular screen??

    • @90SecondOpinion
      @90SecondOpinion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s thicker (the “threads” or whatever). So there’s a little more of it to see. But the color itself is similar to other dark colored screens.

    What do you do about the screen that is pulled out from the corners?

    • @90SecondOpinion
      @90SecondOpinion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose if all the fabric was still in tact you could just put it back in with some new spline (the rubber like tube you press into the frame channel). Spline is pretty inexpensive ($5). If the screen is torn, I'd replace it like I did in the video.
