The remarkable thing about Geoff is his range which can reach five octaves on a good day, with subharmonics and falsetto added to his comfortable four octaves. Other songs such as Blackbird, High and Dry, Country Roads, or 16 tons etc give you an idea of how that sounds. And yes, his attention to detail is outstanding when creating this type of video.

Geoff's range is great, but not that rare. More impressive is how long he can hold it and how rich it sounds, not a mere growl. Skipping to two octaves back and forth, now that's the most remarkable! VERY few can do that. Especially so smoothly, that wows all vocal coaches. Besides him a capella wise only Tomi P does it and most well known doing this effortlessly Dimash.
@@embran8486 I guess it depens on what you mean by rare. As voices go I reckon it's fairly rare. But you're right in saying that it's the smoothness that sets him apart from others who have a similar range.
@@PowerfulReactions I actually recommend you check out the less oft reacted to House of the RIsing Sun cover by Geoff. That one doesn't get enough play.

I would love to see Geoff Castelluci and Avi Kaplan and Tim Foust do a low bas cover together. They all have beautiful ranges!
Geoff is the bass singer for Voiceplay, an extremely talented group. They have solid, tight harmonies, and their productions are top notch! Check Oogie Boogie's Song, Friends on the Other Side, or any of their music - you will not be disappointed. Geoff has some phenomenal solo work as well. 16 Tons, Monster Mash and any of his solo work is also top notch!
If you look on Geoff Castellucci's channel; he has tutorials on singing low. You can hear his speaking voice there, and it is pretty low.

Geoff (and VoicePlay) are wonderful at creating in depth versions of the songs they cover. And they do it all..... they usually get help on makeup, costumes, choreography (when needed) but they do arrangements, most of the editing, videos, lighting, etc. Geoff obviously does all of his own on his channel: on VoicePlay, 99% of the songs are split between Geoff and Layne (the beatbox). Which ever one has the vision, typically leads with the whole package.
If you want sub woofer I suggest watching VoicePlay's version of Friends On the Other Side. Geoff is definitely a sub woofer towards the end. Hoist the Colours showcases his deep voice as well. Oh, and in Halo theme he hits his record low note.
Love Geoff's voice and love his new Halloween release of The Monster Mash. So fun. I greatly enjoy all of his covers. The first one I heard was Sixteen Tons. Or a duet with Tim Foust of Home Free. Check out his tutorials in his normal voice. IF I WERE A RICH MAN/GIRL | VoicePlay Feat. Ashley Diane Geoff is the lead in this one.

So far Geoff hasn't done a collab with Avi but Voiceplay did (and as such Geoff) with Tim Foust from Home Free. Just like Avi Kaplan joined Home Free one time.

He has a couple of singing tutorials on TH-cam. You can hear him talking. He did an interview recently with a reactor to o on Charismatic something.. check it out
The low note here is a G1-believe it or not he can go lower. His official lowest note so far is in Voiceplay’s Halo Theme -a B0. On his channel, he also does readings from things like Edgar Allen Poe’s works, so you can hear his voice that way, but he’s also done interviews. If you like his solo work, check out Sixteen Tons. I think you’ll love it. Also, you should check out Carry On Wayward Son or My Mother Told Me by Voiceplay, because not only is Geoff’s voice amazing, but Eli, the group’s tenor, could easily front a metal/rock band if he wanted to.
I'd love to see Geoff and VP get together with Home Free again. Peter Hollens and Tim Foust did a version of this song (called Misty Mountains) that is just as beautiful. I often listen to them back to back, looped with My Mother Told Me.

I have just recently discovered Geoff and Voiceplay, and am wading through their songs. Incredible!! I could listen to his singing all day long, and I can say that right now about only one other artist (Angelina Jordan).
