I played a Lathander cleric who wasn't a morning person. It was a fun opportunity for humor, but also he was an example of making sacrifice for what you believe in.

The teachings of Lathander need to be made into a real world philosophy for people to follow. I think people would be a lot happier and the world would be a better place.

I’m playing a pretty dark character. A yuan ti bard that received a vision and offer from Lathander and multi classes to celestial warlock. Pretty fun playing a dark and sinister character being tempted to goodness and seduced by the light, rather than the typical descent to darkness. This was helpful to plan my shift in attitude.
Ragitsu so much has changed since this. He’s now a custom celestial yuan ti and an Eloquence Bard. He’s a combo between Lucifer (from the show) and Captain America.
I greatly appreciated this sort of video about the church of Lathander. Do you plan to release more of these for the religious organizations of the other gods? Maybe for the Triad?

In my campaign the lathanderites are the betrayers that, once loyal, supported the heresy of Amaunator in the Lathander Church (like the jesuites in the catholicism) while lathanderian are the common believers in Lathander.

I'm playing a harpy cleric of lathander who was raised in the temple since she was an egg when a paladin of lathander felt guilty for killing her entire flock on a mercenary merchant escort mission that got attacked by said flock. But she struggles with feeling if she really belongs and wants this since she has never experienced anything else. So, her priest suggested she goes on a pilgrimage to experience the world with the Morninglord's blessing. Will update once she goes through her faith crisis the DM is cooking up

So let me get this straight, anytime they disagree about anything, they ALL have to gather in 1 place (Even though it is a global religion and there is no hiararchy to send representatives) and debate until they unanimously agree, wich would mean logically if there is more then a dozen in total they would never ever come to an end to an argument. Do people know how hard it is for people to unanimously agree about anything? We dont even have unanimous agreement that the world is flat.
What is the current relationship between the faiths of Lathander and Amaunator? Once these were one god, but during the spellplague I heard that they merged for a time. Is this now considered heresy? I heard that where Lathander was merciful, Amaunator was firm and merciless. Where Lathander brought the restoring dawn, Amaunator wielded the sun's full might and fury. But had the Netherese Empire not fallen 5000 years ago, they might have been one and the same? I don't know, this kind of faith confuses me, I prefer a more stable god like Mystra
It's a great campaign. I first started playing dragonlance in 2nd edition. It also has some of the most amazing books tied to it. If you are going to look it up, I would suggest starting with Dragons of Autumn Twilight.
As a player who's playing a neutral undead character with good tendencies, this guy's followers are a real pain in the ass xD Never faced so much discrimination before in DnD, especially when they active their divine sense and can look through my disguise :S
Character idea: Paladin, possibly LN cleric+paladin multiclass. Charismatic football coach type, an expert at tactics _for the love of the game!_ Reveres Lathander as god of strength and athletics. Super-fit "jock" who the ladies (or guys) swoon for and is always positive and encouraging: to the fighter who got mangled by that monster, "You'll get 'em next time, bro!" Secretly afraid of the dark.

Illmater is by far the better fantasy analog of Jesus Christ. That said, _some_ elements of Lathander are certainly representative of Jesus Christ (also, I'd peg the idealized interpretation of Jesus as overall Neutral Good).
