There was a moment last night, when she was sandwiched between the two Gold dwarves and the Uthgardt tribesmen, where I thought, "Wow, I could really spend the rest of my life worshiping Sune".
She has a lot in common with Dibella, and a lot in common with Mara. Dibella does have a lot of Sharess too because, unlike Sunites, Dibellans like to get hot and heavy too, not just make poems, statues and songs about their love.
I actually have a Sun Soul Monk/Cleric of Sune who focuses on reclaiming lost beauty. Diamond came to Sune's service towards the end of her time at the Quivering Ass Monastery, where the arts of striptease and Kung Fu are taught side by side. By that time she was scarred from years of martial arts training but she still yearned to serve Sune. Sune responded to Diamond's prayers by transforming her scars into lines of gold(the inspiration for this is the art of Japanese kintsugi) and charged her to spend her life inspiring others that all is not lost because of scars or deformity, that beauty may be reclaimed. Whenever Diamond receives a new wound that will scar she rubs a mix of gold dust and healing herbs into it and then prays to Sune to gaze upon her act of reclaiming beauty.
Wait but is she totally accepted by Sune or she must redeem herself for the desctruction of her beauty through bringing back lost beauties, a perpetual task? So i mean, is she like a servant of sune in forever redeeming?
I allow my PC's to pass notes under the table for a secret action he/she wants to attempt. If it's an action that requires a roll, allow them to act like they're just fumbling around his or her dice. Great video! But just as a bit of an anal retentive nitpick on my part. Her name is pronounced as "Soon-nae", for YEARS I mispronounced her name, too. I used pronounced Sune as though it rhymed with the word "rune". But in the end, wound up discovering years later that her name is pronounced as "Soon-nae". So, while yes, she is the Forgotten Realms' Aphrodite figure, she's actually kind of a badass, which unfortunately doesn't get recognized.
Indeed, the Goddess is not like her Clergy, and her worshipers are far more diverse. However, a cleric of Sune would not make a great adventurer. The need to keep up appearances and never gain a scar is something I think is more fitting for a noble character or rich merchants offspring.
