Saw a live transmission of a Metallica show here in Chile, Black Album Tour, i was 12, Lars behind that white Tama drumkit, 4 rack toms and all that, next day i was beggin for drum lessons and to have my own kit. Years later i´ve seen the show again, and Lars was playing awful, BUT, i think a lot of kids who were my age at that time, or even younger, felt motivated by him to start with the drums. If that´s not influential, i dont know what it is.

But -- DT's music was interesting and vibrant when Porntoy (love that) was their drummer, and now it sounds over-perfect and -more- pretentious 😉 Plus the snare tone on the eponymous album is complete shit.
