it's just cuz Toxicity itself is a simple enough song that it doesn't need complex drumming. you want to hear Dolmayan's technical ability? BYOB, Mind, or Revenga. masterful drumming

Haha I like how Travis barker was 3 seconds 😂 so many kids from the high school I went to use to tell me that Travis barker was the best drummer of all time, but then I'd show them drummers like Shannon Lucas, Clive Burr, Vitek Kieltyka, ect and they would just be pissed off.

You, mr 66Samus, is somewhat of a percussive genius! Emulating other drummers is not an easy task and it does seem that you have quite a bit of skill in doing it. Based on the samples you've provided, judging by the drummers i'm very familiar with, you have a real talent for emulating certain base traits of very unique drummers and their particular styles. It's remarkable to hear similacrums of styles of very succesful and influential drummers of metal, because metal drumming is by definition quite demanding. Imitating other drummers takes a lot of ability and doing it well says a lot about your ability.
You could have quantized the Vitek section and still not played as accurately as that Dude played live. I saw him once before the crash and it was unbelievable. I literally still have trouble believing it.
I love how Priester's bell game is the hardest part to play in the video. That is a thing of beauty by itself. Comes from being a percussionist in a Latin orchestra. Cheers!
Buddy Rich. Mitch Mitchell. Ginger Baker. John Bonham. Keith Moon. No metal guys here but thought it would be worth a mention. Love your vids bro and super stoked to hear you on the new Townsend stuff!
You got Mangini, personally he's my favorite drummer, but a close second has to be Peter Wildoer. The man's insane. Just take a listen to "I Will Not Break" from James LaBrie's Impermanent Resonance or just any song from Static Impulse and you'll see why.

Yeah why the fuck is there no Mario? How do you have a 3 part most influential drummers video and not include him? Matt Garstka from Animals As Leaders would've been cool to see too.
Only explanation is that Samus doesn't have the nuts to try and imitate Mario's playing.
Playing Gojira is like taking a drum exam.
Liquid Fire for example.
Liquid fire ? Brah, From the Sky, Esoteric Surgery, Vacuity
Perhaps the best sounding drumkit I've heard on TH-cam. Whatever mic setup you have it's on point.

Kai Hahto is a great drummer. They were especially great in Wintersun's self titled album, which was amazing

Ben Koeller - Converge
Aaron Harris - Isis
Gabe Serbian - The Locust
Trey Williams from Dying Fetus
Michael Ryuya Tamioka finally someone else who said, he definitely deserves a spot on the list
