Ugh, bless you! I've looked up so many contouring videos before and they're all for tanner women and offer no help whatsoever to us pale princesses! This video was long awaited and much needed :)
+vkkidz4life dude yes. i swatched the chantilly on me in sephora and it was a little to dark for me :( lol i look rlly tan in my profile pic tho bc i was in california and i actually got colour after burning
+Mary Reichard i was so bummed that it was too dark me D: maybeline fit me in 15 is the only concealer ive found that matches my skintone. i remember her saying hardcandy glamoflage foundation in their lightest shade is *too* light for her so it might just be perfect for me lol im from cali and i somehow cant tan xD i just burn like a lobster then going back to being a pale ass gothling lol
Thank god...finally a contour video that isn't using some insane dark brown/yellow palette maybe now I can actually do this without looking like I have dirt all over my face
I love how you tend to use a lot of affordable products! It makes you ten times more relatable. There are SO many people on TH-cam that make tutorials and use super expensive products, and there's no way one could relate or recreate their looks.
I really can't tell you how much I appreciate you making videos like this! I'm just as pale if not paler than you and I have always struggled so much with finding the right products to contour with, everything always looks so dark on me even when it is the lightest shad available! I don't know why I never thought of eyeshadows before! Thank you so much I will be trying this out literally tomorrow ♥♥
I have no idea why that aren't like ten million people watching your videos. I've been watching you a few months and I'll just go on binges of watching you. You're so funny and chill and laid back. Like your not super serious in a good way, I cwnt explain it, but you crack me up. Keep reppin the pale princesses, girl 😊💄👑
I can't believe I just found your channel. In the past two days since I've been watching my makeup game has been stepped up x10. I want to thank you so much for sharing the wonder that is NARS's concealer in chantilly. Holy cow, its perfect.
I know tons of ppl have contouring videos but never saw a good one for pale peeps. I also always got confused between contouring and bronzing. Thanks for the tips !
I just picked up the NYX blusb in Taupe and it has been a total game changer! Absolutely amazing! I will definitely keep at eye out for Raisin! I just picked up a couple of the NYX illuminating powders for highlighting and they are beautiful on pale skin!
The Smashbox step by step contour kit is fantastic for fair skin! I only use the contour and high light color in this kit, I haven't tried the bronzer yet. The contour color is perfect for fair skin!!! As well as the highlight color.
I use the nyx blush in "raisin" or "taupe" the most, but I've had my eyes on a palette by lunatick cosmetics that's just all cool toned gray and taupe shades to suite pale skin. Like I need more contour products...
You are AMAZING!! My daughter has the same skin tone and hair color as you. We have struggled to find makeup that matches her skin. She also struggles with acne and trying to conceal on her pale skin. Thank you so much for helping us.
I pretty much gave up watching TH-cam and today I came across your videos and I love them!thank you for doing a pale skin series! I'm so fair and no one ever does anything for us pale people lol
I LOVE you videos SO MUCH. I'm pretty sure we have the exact same skin tone, but I have red hair and freckles. I am literally the same color as chatily. You always make me feel so much better for being "soul less". Your recommendations are always on point. I'm always too afraid to contour but I might just try it out. You deserve SO many more subscribers. I think I found you after looking up "good pale foundations " and I'm so glad I did. Keep doing what your doing. Love you 💖
Nars Chantilly is darker than my skin , but it works great with my eyes dark( purple and lilac) circles but there aren't any other options for concealers for me (ex LM SC) Sometimes I have tried to use Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC1 (only the lightest color) to try the inverted triangle but is so difficult to work with! As my contour I use Bobbi Brown Matte Eyeshadow in Cool Ivory , Mac Scene and Maybelline Tough as Taupe and as a highlighter I can only use Shiseido High Beam and Hourglass Ambient Powder in Ethereal Light because my skin magnifies every single sparkle and do the same with all undertones. Cheers!!
for contouring my face I use Catrice matte eyeshadow in 050 Taupe Addict. :) It's a little bit too dark for me, but I lighten it with white powder (Makeup Revolution ghost compact or their ghost loose powder) for highlight I use Catrice highlighter, that I think it's not on sale anymore. It's called Prime and Fine 010 Fairy Dust. But I saw a new highlighter pack from Freedom. It's called ProArtist Light Packs - HD Cold Light 1. And I'm planning on buying it once I run out of my Catrice one.
@thataylaa If you like the makeup Revolution one, I would suggest you to search for the shade "Mocha Love", or "Such as...". I'm very very pale, and the Mocha love is perfect if you take just the right amount of product!! Is my all time favourite shade to contour :)
Speaking of make up revolutions single shadows as contouring shades, the "mocha love" shade is PERFECT for pale skin! It's like nyx blush in taupe, sxcept slightly lighter and with less red tones, so its way better!
Thanks for the tips, I'm going to check out the taupe blush. I'm also very fair and have a hard time contouring. So for blush, the one I love is Blushbaby by MAC. It's such a great pink for fair skin.
Definitely gonna check out some of these products!! I've been subscribed for a long time and it still shocks me how you don't have millions of subscribers
Hey Taylor, I just want to say that I think you are absolutely beautiful and your face so reminds me of a fine porcelain doll's face. It is so fair and sweet just like a rare vintage porcelin baby doll. My sister has been an avid collector of these for many years and ownes some that are very valuable so I know the priceless ones from the yard sale ones. And you my dear fall right in the "Priceless" arena. Love your video's. Keep up the great work!
Re-watching your old videos. I believe that this was even before Beauty Blenders!! Haha. Some newbies never knew a time without a beauty sponge. You’re still the same knowledgeable, sassy & lovable self. *I love that social media fame hasn’t changed you.* Stay yourself. You’re an original. #BaerritoFam!! 🌯🤗❤️
Thank you so much for this! Definitely going to check out the NYX blush in Taupe! Also, I have the Nars concealer in Chantilly but it's too dark so I use the Physicians Formula powder that you recommender and IT SAVED MY LIFE! So thank you so much ^^
I'm pretty sure you and I are the exact same skin tone, so I'm just going to go off of your recommendations, thanks for another amazing and helpful video! 😊
I love that you have pale skin like me so I can actually relate to you. I really need to try that Sedona lace Contour blush palette. I was wondering would you do it David Contour for pale skin girls tutorial or recommendations? I would really love to watch it!
have you tried e.l.f illuminating palette I bought it an I'm so in love. you're videos are amazing I have very dry skin but our shades are pretty spot on so I watch all the time! im all about full coverage because I have so much redness at times.
This is awesome! I'm finally embracing my pale skin and this helped a lot. I just got the Wet n wild contouring palette in caramel toffee and I think it is great for pale skin. You should get it and do a tutorial so I actually know what to do 😉 P.s. I love your videos!!
Lots of help thank you. I can never find a contour shade to go with me cuz there all to orange. This definitely helped and I'm gonna go buy these now cuz me and your about the same in skin tone. Also the highlighter, never find one light enough.
contour with wet and wild dulce DE leche. I have a blush bronze highlight trio by hard candy that I follow with. bake with cody air spun in translucent. setting spray by motives 10 years younger.
Makeup Revolution has a great bronzer for fair skin called Ultra Bronze. I use it every day & love it! Their blush palettes are also amazing! Unfortunately, I can't use any of the eye shadows I purchased from Makeup Revolution because my eyes had an allergic reaction to them! Waaah! It really sucks because some of their shadows are amazingly pigmented & gorgeous. Loved this video! ;) XOXO
Im super pale too! I have some suggestions- I love covergirl's trublend fixstick in medium deep for a cream contour- and then i set with rimmel stay matte in 018 creamy beige. Im still looking for a great drugstore highlight!
MACs blush in "Emote" is my favorite thing EVER to contour with for my pale complexion, but sadly, it is discontinued. I am now hoarding it and only use it for special occasions. NYX "Taupe" is a dupe for it, but I've heard that is discontinued as well? Pale girls can't win!! Right now, Im using Too Faced Milk Chocolate bronzer. Eh, it okay. Loved this video, will defiantly check out your suggestions! You look great, as per usual!
This was a very helpful video because I'm not very good at bronzing or highlighting and I don't know really where to put it especially the highlighter so thank you for making this video I'm not as fair as you but I'm not dark I'm between fair and a little bit tense so I think I can pull off some of the highlighters and bronzers that you use but I don't own any of those products so I'm going to have to keep my eye out for them but this is a great video and the lighting looks amazing so thank you xoxo
anyone have any suggestions for pale girl highlighters without glitter/shimmery chunks ? i feel like whatever i highlight with i always look like i have glitter dust fallout all over my face!
I have the same problem plus my skin magnified the undertones(any undertone) so not champagne, pink or gold highlighters for me Shiseido High Beam (is a translucent white)is the best that I have found! It has a satin(not a single sparkle) finish and is like super natural in real life but photograph well, Hourglass ambient powder in Ethereal Light is nice too but I like more my shiseido Cheers!
MUFE Compact Shine On looks pretty promising :3 I plan to order some myself soon, the lightest shade looks light enough for people who're super fair, it isn't glittery at all (has more of a satin/pearlescent finish?) and it doesn't have predominant gold/pink undertones either... more of like a champagney sort of colour?
I'm so glad I found you! it is so hard to find beauty channels that have someone who is as white as I am and obviously not every makeup look looks good with every skin color so you're channel is like gold for me! lol thank you so much for not wearing fake tanner and trying to be darker than you are, you are absolutely stunning and look like a princess! Whities unite! hahaha lol jk
Quick suggestion, you can always contour with a pressed powder or anything a couple shades darker than your skin tone. Hopefully this helped and could make everything easier instead of trying to get that little eye shadow on a brush. But I've never used eye-shadow for contouring it might blend out a lot easier. Hopefully this helped 😊❤
Taylor, do you have a video that explains more about that manic panic white stuff you mix in your foundation? I'm ghostly pale and pink toned and can NEVER find a foundation pale enough. Thanks girl!
Just recently started watching your videos. Love you by the way! You're so chill and laid back seen super down to earth. I just have one question, if you don't mind my asking. Why do you use so many drug store products as opposed to high end ones? Is that preference or are you on a budget?
hope this will help! I could not afford expensive foundation with tye money I had, I couldn't find anything my shade but I went on amazon and typed in "pale foundation" a bunch of things cane up but the one I chose was the B.B healing foundation in the shade 01 porcelain, it had many shades and it was only £3 honestly tho it was super good quality !
I swear your a life saver! I'm pretty new to makeup other then basic mascara and eyeliner lol I'm also white as heck with red undertones, thanks Scottish genetics!!! thankyou for being so pale and having nice hacks about contouring 😁🖒🖒
sounds like you have the classic 'peelywally' Celtic complexion shared by most of up here in Scotland, including me! lol! Nothing wrong with being a fair Celtic rose, my friend! It's a complexion that not many people have, except those in Scotland/Ireland or of Celtic descent. It distinguishes you from others, so enjoy it! I know what you mean though, it's a nightmare for me trying to find foundation and make-up to suit my tone as well! and forget sunbeds, I just need to look at UV rays and I go red like a lobster! lol!
I found the tip about using a cool tone contour and and warm tone bronzer rather helpful! I honestly didn't know the difference, I always thought bronzer was bronzer :p this video was helpful, overall! guess this is a great excuse for makeup shopping! :D You look gorgeous, by the way :) purple is my favorite color.. So obviously this is my favorite look, heheh.
Hey! Is there a brush set or any brushes you’d suggest for someone just getting into this? I found the flawless foundation Sedona lace set, but was wondering if there might be a better choice for me or if I should just go for it. I love your videos btw! (:
Are you having any breakouts from the Maybelline Primer? It also contains silicone like Porefessional, I've learned to just stay away from all primers with silicone and like silicone products, Too Faced Hangover RX is an awesome foundation, Hourglass makes a really good (expensive) one but you can buy a smaller bottle, also It Cosmetics. I just worry because your skin is looking so much clearer and that primer might be bad news. love ya long time!
Ugh, bless you! I've looked up so many contouring videos before and they're all for tanner women and offer no help whatsoever to us pale princesses! This video was long awaited and much needed :)
finally someone who understands the pale struggle. ive got like the worst combo man. Super Pale skin , Hooded eyelids. LOL i cant.
I have this exact same combo! Sucks!!
+Shaylin Santos LOL the worst part about it all for me is that ive got oily skin yearlong. gets a little bit dry in winter but ITS SUPER OILY omg
+Mary Reichard sameeeeee D: the nars concealer she uses is like 3 shades to dark for me ._.
+vkkidz4life dude yes. i swatched the chantilly on me in sephora and it was a little to dark for me :( lol i look rlly tan in my profile pic tho bc i was in california and i actually got colour after burning

You're seriously one of the best beauty bloggers on TH-cam, your videos never get old

I totally agree. She deserves so many more subs
I know she's so perfect 👑
I can't believe I just found your channel. In the past two days since I've been watching my makeup game has been stepped up x10. I want to thank you so much for sharing the wonder that is NARS's concealer in chantilly. Holy cow, its perfect.
The purple eye look you're wearing really makes your eyes POP and looks amazing with your skin and hair
I know tons of ppl have contouring videos but never saw a good one for pale peeps. I also always got confused between contouring and bronzing. Thanks for the tips !

You are AMAZING!! My daughter has the same skin tone and hair color as you. We have struggled to find makeup that matches her skin. She also struggles with acne and trying to conceal on her pale skin. Thank you so much for helping us.
I've been using CoverFX bronzer in Sunkissed (from Sephora) for a contour and I love it. It's pretty ashy and blends well.
My skin is just like yours. And i use teatree oil for my acne. Definitely recommend!! It clears my face so well
Amanda Corbin tea tree oil is a fuckin godsend
i so so appreciate "how to" videos. thank you for this one. yes its old but i am new and binging on your vids.
I pretty much gave up watching TH-cam and today I came across your videos and I love them!thank you for doing a pale skin series! I'm so fair and no one ever does anything for us pale people lol

LOVEEEEEEEEE :) I cant even! Embrace your paste ladies! I love that shade of purple on you. It just POPs with those eyes!
I have olive skin and I love watching your videos even if they don't apply to me. Keep being awesome :)
Currently using the NYX taupe blush for contour & Elf bake blush in Pinktastic for highlighting
Nars Chantilly is darker than my skin , but it works great with my eyes dark( purple and lilac) circles but there aren't any other options for concealers for me (ex LM SC)

KvD an LA girl both have white concealers!

Oh my gosh I love you bc you're like the April Ludgate of beauty tutorials
Speaking of make up revolutions single shadows as contouring shades, the "mocha love" shade is PERFECT for pale skin! It's like nyx blush in taupe, sxcept slightly lighter and with less red tones, so its way better!
thank you so much. you're my fav beauty vlogger bc pale princess.
Keigan Monnette Thank you!! xx
Caroleena Velez :) thanks for sticking around!
Nyx taupe blush is a godsend, it's the only product I contour with. I love benefit high beam for highlighting too.
Hey Taylor, I just want to say that I think you are absolutely beautiful and your face so reminds me of a fine porcelain doll's face. That highlighter looks so beautiful!!
All your videos are so freaking helpfull! Pale skin is hard to work with! Can you do a review of the Limecrime velvetines? In particular Cashmere.
So thank you so much ^^
Lirannay Awesome! glad you like it! xx
I own the Vortex brush set and I love it! The fan brush and the domed contour brush are my favorites. :)
Aaw, your accent and voice here is super cute. Little Thataylaa💞
Thataylaa lookin fabulous, I'm going to the drugstore tonight to buy a bunch of stuff thataylaa has recommended.
have you tried e.l.f illuminating palette I bought it an I'm so in love. you're videos are amazing I have very dry skin but our shades are pretty spot on so I watch all the time! im all about full coverage because I have so much redness at times.
Your skin is looking so good :)
I would love to see another video on all your favorite contour/blush/highlighter products! Pretty please make one :)
YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS AND THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
is there a drugstore concealer to highlight the under eyes as pale as the nars one she is using?
Maybeline instant age renewal concealer
This is awesome! I'm finally embracing my pale skin and this helped a lot. I just got the Wet n wild contouring palette in caramel toffee and I think it is great for pale skin. You should get it and do a tutorial so I actually know what to do 😉
P.s. I love your videos!!
Omg I totally had no idea you contour after setting your face?!?!? Definitely have to try that!!!
Lots of help thank you. I can never find a contour shade to go with me cuz there all to orange. This definitely helped and I'm gonna go buy these now cuz me and your about the same in skin tone. Also the highlighter, never find one light enough.
do you have a full coverage foundation review for frekles?? i havent found a foundation for pale skin/frekles yet! ♡
contour with wet and wild dulce DE leche.
NNNOOO! They can't discontinue "Taupe"...it is my go to contour shade and is SO affordable!
So glad that you have tutorials for us pale gals
lol you made applying make up enjoyable. love your sense of humor.
Yes, favorite products please!
anyone have any suggestions for pale girl highlighters without glitter/shimmery chunks ? i feel like whatever i highlight with i always look like i have glitter dust fallout all over my face!
Hourglass ambient powder in ethereal light 😊
I have the same problem plus my skin magnified the undertones(any undertone) so not champagne, pink or gold highlighters for me Shiseido High Beam (is a translucent white)is the best that I have found! It has a satin(not a single sparkle) finish and is like super natural in real life but photograph well, Hourglass ambient powder in Ethereal Light is nice too but I like more my shiseido
Cheers!
Becca moonstone
luv your makeup in this video..p.s. I luv your videos thank u for taking the time to do them
Thank you for all e tips and tricks! I really learned a thing or two.....I'm as pale as you so this video really helped!
Glad it helped! xx
Would love to see an updated 2017 version of this video!
have you tried the makeup geek contour shade for porcelain skin? I've been happy with it & the price point for quality is another plus.
I think I need to re-create your look tomorrow! I think all the face products I've bought this year have been off of your recommendations anyway :)
I love your videos! You have such great info I've literally watched hours on end! Keep em' coming :)
Yes thank you for this video it's hard to find a video for couture and highlight for pale skin
This is perfect! Thank you so much!
How long do you take doing all of your makeup? 💗
Taylor, do you have a video that explains more about that manic panic white stuff you mix in your foundation? I'm ghostly pale and pink toned and can NEVER find a foundation pale enough. Thanks girl!
I really really love your videos! but when do you buy a better cam for a better quality? would be worth it!
I love you're videos girl
Where can you buy the Essence of Beauty brand? I live in a really small town and I'm having issues finding it. Love you Taylor!
you should get the kat von d shade and light pallet. the 2nd base color is a great contour color for pale skin
your reference of your face to life had me subscribing!
I swear your a life saver! I'm pretty new to makeup other then basic mascara and eyeliner lol I'm also white as heck with red undertones, thanks Scottish genetics!!! thankyou for being so pale and having nice hacks about contouring 😁🖒🖒

guess this is a great excuse for makeup shopping! :D
You look gorgeous, by the way :) purple is my favorite color.. So obviously this is my favorite look, heheh.
This was so helpful, thanks so much! xo
milani luminoso for blush and elf blush in pinktastic for highlight!!
omg! you live in Seattle too? :) that's awesome. thanks for all the pale-person help.

I love using mac eyeshadow in omega to contour when I'm fair.
I'd love to see you try Shany Cosmetics.
I am obssesed with your eyebrows at the moment and damn girl you looking gorg as always :*
Everytime I watch your videos I make a huge Amazon order :)
Where can I find the stipling brush you use?:)
