Newbie here! 40 years old and never used makeup except mascara and eyeliner!!! Thank you for making it so easy to understand and im going to now try!!
I never in my life thought to contour my face. But as I'm getting older, I realize what a game changer it is as it helps to enhance my best features and hide my worst. Thanks so much for your detailed tutorials. I can't wait until you're able to work on models (of different skin tones, face shapes, etc)!
It’s coming! ❤️
True.. it's really different when your're younger
EXACTLY the simplicity I’ve been looking for. I don’t want that “beat” look. Just something nice and bare-faced looking. So pretty!
Thanks!
Thanks so much Sharonda!
Your skin is naturally luminous and beautiful - you don't even need makeup! But, I'm definitely grateful for the great tips! Thank you!
I am 46, an only child. My mother was killed when I was 4. I was never, ever taught how to use make up. I have winged it throughout my life. I am so excited to find your tutorial here, new sub for sho! I wish I could share pics of when I am done following your methods and tips! Thank you! ❤
More videos for beginners please. This is the perfect video tutorial for those who want light make up. I am also enjoying the underpainting technique. EVERYTHING under foundation. It creates a soft look. I am so in love with it.
EDIT: I am so glad that concealers can be used in contouring because I breakout from silicones and most contour products have silicones. Unlike with concealers which have none. SO PERFECT!
❤️
I’ve only recently discovered your channel, but let me tell you, your tips and tricks have already changed my makeup game so much. Thank you 🙌🏽
🥰❤️
Mmm i
@@NinaUbhi1 what happens if you get a cakey look around the chin and between the eyebrows? I have dry skin.
Same girl 🥺 like she completely changed the way I do makeup for the better!
Where do we get the supplies used?
I followed these steps on contouring and I’ve gotten lots of compliments about how natural and unison it all looks together. Plus I’m not using no high end makeup brands either. 👑
Which contour should use beginners
Perfectly explained. Clear, concise, easy AND affordable to everyone. No expensive contour palettes needed.
Thank you!!!!
Life saver! 😅Always being told I look 17 when I'm almost 30 so this will really help 😊
You know I just love you, Nina, right? Seriously thank you for giving me the confidence to try something that I have truly not been able to do for 34 years :-) I feel so much more confident and beautiful and appreciate all of your educational help and support❤❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for including the TOOLS used and the physical technique! I literally have two makeup brushes cuz I've just used my fingers my whole life, so now I know what to look for. So many videos just assume we peasants have an arsenal of brushes, sponges, palettes, etc. I never knew why there were so many different shapes and sizes of brushes. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
It's very helpful to find someone with a similar round face-type as me, because a lot of tutorials with much sharper faces end up looking ridiculous on me
I’ve watched a lot of makeup tutorials, but I’ve never seen anyone explain the process as well as you! 😊I’ve only just found your channel so I’ve got a lot to catch up on!❤️
🥰❤️
Me tooooo! I’m obsessed! My make up has never looked better since I’ve started watching ! Thanks Nina !!! 🙌🏻
Literally you have saved me. I don’t do my make up too much anymore because I’ve gained weight and makeup tutorials I loved before do not work! I love you and you actually make me feel hopeful. My wedding is in a month and I’m beyond grateful for your videos. You are naturally beautiful and this is what I need! Thank you thank you thank you!❤❤❤
This is my first video I’m very impressed with you. Would you plz do videos that educate women over 50 on how to do makeup correctly? Just a suggestion….
I just found your channel this morning and WOW, has this changed my makeup game for the better! I'm an Afro Hispanic, so its been hard trying to find products that match my skin tone and than how to contour my darker features has been difficult. Thank you for this video. Such a big help.
Best lesson on how this is done and u actually have finally taught me the method. Can u do one to make a wonky nose straighter an the tip nose smaller/narrower) thanks
This is the first time I've found you and watched you. You could not make it any easier to understand.....I clearly need to spend a lot of time catching up with your advice because I think it's going to be life changing! I cannot wait to go on a make-up journey with you....!
☺️❤️❤️
I’m 47 soon to be 48 and I’ve never worn makeup. I’m just starting out and I’m excited to have found your channel. You’re making me feel like I could do this too! I’m under the weather right now BUT watching your videos is making me feel better.
I'm so glad!
OMG I’m still getting used to this but you’ve made it so much easier for me to understand!! Honestly I had a right mare the other night , I forgot to put foundation on top!” How silly do I feel. Thanks Nina practice does make perfect … I’m 45 now this is all very new to me !! You videos are fab! Thank you Nina
Absolutely lovely video. Perfect for beginners like myself. I’ve never done this before because I felt it was way too much makeup and way to difficult. But I love your method and will be trying it. Thank you so much for making it easy for us beginners to understand and follow.
Just seen for first time, embarrassed to say I'm 66 and don't know how to use makeup right. So you have a new fan, you explain and show how to use. Makeup 101. Thanks jazz
I'm 28 and thought of startign to contour. This was definitely the most informative video
I love watching your videos. You make look so easy to do. I’m new at applying makeup. Your techniques are really helping me! You are so beautiful. Thank you for explaining every step.
Thank you! I’ve watched tons of contouring videos on here and this is by far, the best and most informative one I’ve come across! ❤
Hi Nina. I love how you explain and make it so simple to follow your instructions. Right now I'm visiting in Oregon but once I'm in California I am going to get color matched for concealers, foundation, bronzer and anything else I need. Then going back home to Arizona and practice practice all you have taught us. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much for watching as always :)
Thank you so much. This tutorial worked perfectly. I realized that I used less foundation....the coverage was still flawless. I did my makeup for a new years party. Its the best makeup I have done on my own.
Hi Nina, I loved the u explained all issues in your video. My question is do ever use a matter finish setting spray and if so when exactly would you use it?
I just bought elf’s contouring stick. It has a light highlighter on one end and a darker one on the other. I didn’t know I could contour with a concealer. The highlighter is quite shiny on the stick
That's incredible, I just finished my makeup course and i still keep watching ur video's. U r z best MUA's
Thank u!!
Oh wow so glad to have found you, I am a very mature woman and have watched countless videos on how to contour even bought loads of products but never really had success but after watching your fantastic video I feel more confident so on to practice thank you so very much for sharing your expertise and teaching this old dog new tricks! As I have not been too well I am going to binge watch all your videos THANK YOU
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you I'm turning 60 this year and would love to start doing my makeup more often. Would blush be used above the contour line? Do you have a tutorial for hooded eyes?
I would have to say that this is the best video that I have ever seen on contoring she explained it really well like 100% perfectly
I have always wanted to learn proper but easy way of contouring because i know it will help me HIDE MY DOUBLE CHIN 😅 but unfortunately, i was not able to find easy videos. But TODAY, i finally learned from you! THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this tutorial 🥰 you have a way of teaching that is easy to understand step by step. THANK YOU 😇 because of that i will subscribe!
My pleasure 😊
@@NinaUbhi1 😘
I’m going to start watching her… I have to keep practicing due to this being my first time but my face looks skinnier THANK YOU ❤
Few days ago I just got noticed your Channel. Thank you for your advice. Now I am changing my make up . It’s inspired me so much . Please do more make up tutorials and what kind of make up we need to use specially that my skin is easily to react or easily to irritate. I am using now a revlon product , so far it’s great .
Love this video! Simple, love that you explained it and were direct. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Nina, you are a life saver! I used to hate to contour my forehead after foundation because it would look too dark and not blend in well. Underpainting has been a game changer. I would love if you could do a video on setting and finishing powders, translucent vs. colored powders, and your favorites high end and drugstore. Thank you for all you do.
@@user-uh9nd9bb4i Thank you! What information do you need from me?
Agree! I'd love to see a video on powering techniques & products.
*Powdering*
I know you touched on this in your how to pick your contour shade but could you do a video expanding this with how to choose shades when shopping online. Maybe pull up various lines and show how to judge colors online. I am stuck home due to severe back pain and shops online for everything. Picking shades has gotten much more difficult due to the lighting where three shades will look identical. Thank you, Nina!
This is amazing. So many times I was thinking should I buy a palette? Should I buy a stick? How dark how light. This explains everything. Simple and easy.
I have learned more from watching 2 of your videos than I have from HOURS of watching makeup tutorials here on youtube! Thank you so much for all your knowledge!
I'm so glad!
could you add foundation before and then do a bit after or would it be much better applying foundation after you conceal and contour?
Excellent excellent EXCELLENT video!!! Contouring has always been intimidating to me, but you have erased any concerns!!!! Thank you!
❤❤❤❤
❤️
I’m so excited, finally a contour explanation I understand!!
Nina, your tips have totally changed my makeup game! Thanks so much for all you do on here! ❤
You are so welcome!
Love watching your videos. I used to do a full face in the 90s when we only needed 5 or so products. Thank you for sharing it has been some time.
Peace
I’m a newer person to makeup I mean… I’ve learned so much from you and other videos didn’t explain how why and what the product does thank you for explaining everything so well and perfectly
Thank you so much I was just saying this morning I just need something simple to get started and wow there you were thank you so .
Thanks 👍 Nina for the tutorial above on contouring and highlighting. You have made this technique so much easier than learn 😊.
This is is the most informative one I’ve ever watched, thanks for all the thoroughness of it!!!
Im putting my faith into you for the makeup knowledge, i have a photoshoot this Sunday but im confident ill look good since i followed u an your a professional you do makeup so nicely, thank you ❤
I'm glad you trust my makeup tips! Best of luck with your photoshoot.
This is so useful!! I find that I use to use foundation only and it would make my face look so round so contouring is a must
Never seen any1 contour like this but I LOVE ITTT 👌🏽 so perfect & flawless❤ Thanku 🤲🏽
Question! Can you do colour correcting first before contouring ?
Thank you!! This was the best contour video I’ve seen. I love how you did it before putting on foundation. Wow! Can’t wait to try.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the kind words.
The first video that's actually helped me a complete newbie and given me confidence to try this
Im so happy I found your channel! You are so helpful and easy to watch!! This video was particularly great as contouring wasn't a thing back when I used to wear makeup...well I sure didn't know about it haha.
My first time to enjoy and actually benefit from the TH-cam make lessons but your explanation is great and easy to take in thank you beautiful ❤❤❤
You are an angel in disguise. Thank you so much for explaining everything about contourimg. Love you nina. From india❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You are an amazing teacher.
I’m new to contouring/highlighting and this video was super helpful!! ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Nina always informative and follow friendly.
Blessing you and family for 2023 💫✨🌈💗❤️❤️👏🙏
Showing the placement with your ear was my takeaway moment. My make up is looking better and better these days as it is getting Nina inspired. XX00
🥰❤️
You did an excellent job explaining. And you didn’t where anybody with any skin tone could follow your tips. thank you!
Another great video. Super easy to understand. Thank you. As always it's great seeing your videos.
I saw what you look like at the end, absolutely beautiful
This was a very good tutorial. And your face shape was perfect for the topic of the video.
Thank so much, I’ve just recovered from a messy breakup and I’m finally ready to glow up 🙌🏽
❤️❤️❤️
I’m definitely sharing this video with my daughter, she needs to see it👍🏻 I’ve got myself that real technique brush & I’ve started using it the same way you do😄 many thx for the tips ❤️❤️🥰🥰
I watched this and your nose contour video. Best tutorials and explanations I've ever seen on contouring! I like that you explain what the contour actually *does* for each facial area, and that one may not need to contour all areas depending on one's face shape or desired effect. I have a short forehead already, but I've been contouring all the way around it bc that's what MUAs always show. Now I know I was making my forehead look even shorter (!) by applying contour at the top of it, but that I should still apply it on the sides of my forehead to make it appear less wide, which I DO need.
Subbed and can't wait to watch the rest of your videos. Thanks again!
So glad you enjoyed my content! Thanks so much for subbing!
wow.. this was great! i've learned so much. I'm not good at makeup and I've always had a flat face so i got away with a crappy contour job haha! Now that i'm in my late 20s, my cheeks have started to hallow and i recently got cheek filler so it's way more obvious that i've done some contouring but not good lol. i've gotta get that down and this video was so helpful!!
I am so happy to find you. I had found anyone that I could explain makeup, I could understand.
Thank you ☺️ ♥️
So much helpful information, the instruction on keeping the same shape of line for the cheek contour helped it all make sense. I got a pretty metallic rose gold set of contouring sticks and now know where to start with them. I'm a fair to medium olive with neutral and sometimes reddish undertones, rose gold may be wrong but I get to find that out. :)
As a newbie to contouring, I appreciate the simplicity of this video. All makes sense, and I'm about ready to run to the cosmetics section of the store right now!
this is so helpful because i’ve kind of just never tried to do my contour and when i have i’ve really just done it blind
thank you
Youre AMAZING 👏 Thank you so much for this tutorial. So much clear and great detail for a beginner 😊
Thank you Nina! You are amazing! I’ve learned so much from you. Your tutorials have become my favorite thing to watch 😊
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I don't normally wear makeup but I love the look of contoured makeup. I have tried so many different tutorials and I followed all the wrong techniques that I believe you pointed out in another video. This looks so natural and pretty.
I stumbled over your channel today and I cannot stop watching... I am looking forward to checking out some of your tips. Thank you!!
Really great breakdown thank you.
Thank u for making it so easy love it❤❤❤
My pleasure 😊
This is an awesome tutorial and I'm going to use your advice next time I try my makeup. Last time, i just felt like my face looked...dirty when i countered. Let's hope I can do better this time.
Thank you for explaining this step by step ❤💯
You’re welcome 😊
Hi Nina I'm so happy you did this video for us because I am a beginner at contouring so this is going to be a treasure chest for me!! Thank you thank you thank you God bless you 🙏🥰💕💕💕
Every time I wanna know something about makeup I directly comes to your channel loveeee youuuuuu
Thank you so much for your support! I'm glad you find my makeup tips helpful.
I’m going to try this tomorrow! I always used to contour after foundation, but i felt like it messed with the foundation’s finish. Not sure why I never thought to do contour and highlight first😵💫😂 thanks for the tutorial!
I’ve watched hundreds of makeup videos but after watching yours I feel like a pro I’m bout to slay ❤😂
Great video!!! Straight to the point (thank you) and very clear explanatory makeup demo
This was easy to understand thank you very much for doing this! I was doing it very wrong… you’re in my favorites for videos 🎉
I have never been great at makeup. I would love it if you could do a tutorial on contouring for fair skinned/freckled people! Thank you for your videos!
Thank you for this video! What shade color do you use in the elf? I’ve searched the comment section and your description and don’t see which shade you use for the darker one.
Thank you for explaining more In-depth
If you use a buffer brush like the 104 Zoeva buffer brush would you still apply your foundation afterwards? Because that brush needs to be used in circular motions as opposed to dabbed, potentially dragging the other products? Tia!! 😊
Best to apply with a sponge if you contour first
What an amazing tutorial. Explained in such a simple way. Thanks xx
You answered all my questions! Thank you!
I literally just seen this video and it helped me so much
After I get the concealer and foundation on, my pores and wrinkles are still pretty noticeable. I used lotion and a Clinique primer. Any suggestions on something else I can add to cover them more? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’ve never really worn makeup so I’m learning.
Absolutely beautiful
Wow amazing!! This is the first time I'm actually happy with the results! Thank you so so much!
