I’ve always been in incredible shape starting from the 5th grade, approximately 8 yrs ago I was diagnosed with Cervical DDD and Cervical stenosis along with cervical bone Spurs. I’m now 55, have been on pain killers for 2yrs and am so out of shape. I can’t go out like this, so with the help of people like this man and feeling like shit because of the painkillers especially I am driven to turn this around and get back in my life one of my greatest loves and releases...exercise. So, thank you Doc for the info of being able to beat these problems by starting with posture first...YOU ROCK DOC...onward and upward

, his Credentials you ask, HUMAN COMPASSION for one. Let's just start there.. not saying end there , but that's a great starting point. Not to mention he's been in chronic pain himself. Again that helps more than some book worm being told what others May or May not feel. Dr. Mandell having walked in those chronic pain shoes gives me a better piece of mind in which direction he should point me to. And I go one further . Remember all the science the book worm types were spouting about the 2021 shot. Let me ask you.. do you get it now? Yes the specialists and general practitioner can and will be wrong just as anyone else. Dr. Mandell included. Compassion over PROFITS. When you see a Specialist, you can expect this... I can fix this with surgery. I've tried that road and I made a bad choice. So I'll leave my Diatribe right here .

Posture! Posture! Posture! And don’t delay. Many times you’re going to have to do your own research because medical professionals aren’t going to assist you enough. That goes for some physical therapists as well. I’ve put a collection of things together on my profile. Oftentimes the chest needs to be stretched open. Rounded shoulders has to be addressed as well. The rear shoulder muscles are often neglected. The body is a whole unit. It’s really important to address your whole body’s skeletal structure how it’s functioning. It’s not just strengthening. It’s not just stretching. It’s likely a variety of things for you. It is important to mobilize the neck and strengthen it. Just understand that that alone isn’t likely to remedy your issues significantly or in the long term. The better the whole body structure is functioning the better your neck is going to be and every other part. Having a strong flexible core is critical and maintaining good posture. Take care of yourself, get good rest, make nutrition a priority, keep hydrated and stick to your exercise routines as you would brushing your teeth continuously. Chiropractic can help as long as it’s done in conjunction with other things that you’re doing. Consult with a qualified competent health professional as necessary. Sometimes seeing a doctor of osteopathy is a good idea or someone specializing in posture. Ignoring these things will only lead to them becoming worse.

My neck was injured at birth, and my whole life has been about pain. I've tried just about everything under the sun, and nothing seems to help longer than a hour or so. But I haven't given up. These motion exercises do help. Though they don't last forever, they do help me through the day.

Living with multiple disc herniations, bone spurs, multiple spinal fractures that needed a fusion a cervical suction, lordosis and kyphosis, DISH and the pain that goes with biomechanics out of whack and nerve impingements. Swallowing is a problem, nausea, vertigo, pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, digestive problems… I won’t go on. Anyway these videos are great, when things are explained in layman’s terms by a guy that is practice and wants to genuinely help others in a sensible way I really do appreciate it❤

53yo/male: I have degeneration, spinal stenosis and spurs. Add to that a bulging disc in my C5 or C6. Had a surgery happy ortho quack doc that told me to do surgery back in 2020 when I had my first flare up. That was before I tried the first thing for relief. I literally got up and walked out of his office. Went to see a neurologist a day or so later and she said no way did I need surgery. Not sure what I did then for relief, but the pain went away. Back in July of this year, it came back with a vengeance. I had finally decided in February to lose all this weight I've been carrying around for the past 20 years and went from 275 pounds to 215 in a period of 4 months. I did with IF, low calorie, high protein, weight trained and walked 10k steps a day at least. Then my happy ass decided I needed to start running. And BAM! Hello neck pain. Its been killing me now for the past 2 months. So he isn't lying when he said to avoid running. I found his videos a few days ago. I wish I'd found him first, because I was taking the advice of other video gurus and it felt like I was about to lose my arm. After only 2 days of following his advice here, I've felt noticeable relief. And today when I felt the pain start to come upon me I did that yoga move he suggest, I think its called a downward dog. Did that for maybe 30 seconds and pain vanished. Stayed gone for nearly 2 hours. I'm hoping it goes away completely with these techniques because I'm ready to get back in the gym! Trying to get down to 200 pounds and I can't let this neck crap derail me any longer! Thanks for your videos Doc. They have helped me.

Thank you so much for providing this info. Was recently seen by ortho-neurosurgeons; they recommend C6-7 surgical repair for early C6-7 compression. Due to prior C4-5-6 repair 15 years ago, this procedure required hardware. Began praying and was led to your channel among others others who suggested alternatives to help relieve the pain. You also suggested using TENS unit, Infrared and other non pharmaceutical measures to relieve pain that I will add to my tool kit!
Well, I have gone from excruciating pain (landed me in ED weekly with blood pressures dangerously high, required repeated IV Morphine, Flexeril, to get pain level down that decreased BP) to now, 2 months later on occasional Ibuprofen or Flexeril! I attribute my progress to your information.
Being 60+, on no meds prior to this incidence and active, my aim is to get back to that status. Thank you again! Been sharing your channel with others! New subscriber!

God bless you 1 million fold. Back when I was having that sensation of dizziness but wasn't feeling any discomfort or pain in the spinal region, I was kind of freaking out because I had the tingling and numbness, but it hadn't reached my neck yet. The vertigo was also quite frightening and I had no idea what was wrong. You are truly a Godsend. I was praying about this for a long time and then stumbled across that video where you said "You can't just pray about it, you have to take action" Well before I had no idea what was wrong with me, but now I do thanks to you. It was like God was speaking to me directly. Everything you have on this channel is absolute Gold, and since I've begun implementing it I've been seeing small improvements in my symptoms. It was getting to the point where I thought I was going crazy and it was really scary because it was getting worse. It's almost like God intervened right in time like he always does. I know this is going to be a long process of healing, but with your calming presence I feel as though I can get through it. Many blessings to you man of God.

Very informative. For 40 years I was a boxer and combat martial artist. Now my entire spine is crumbling. I have stenosis and Spurs, and degenerative discs and facets. Neck c3 and c4 stenosis. Had two fusions of c6 and c7. One posterior and one anterior. Vertigo and balance problems. Doctors throw up their hands with me, muttering you got too many problems. So I am thrilled to find your channel. Sometimes I feel there's no hope or help. You motivated me-- in fact I am getting out of bed and staggering to the bathroom and mop up the vomit from last night. I am subscribing.

I was dx with anklosying spondylitis 28 years ago. I am currently in the process of going through surgical optiona and physical therapy.
My huge loss is not being prescribed PT at the onset of this disease. I have severe numbness that is increasing . Its heart part to believe that rheumatologists do not mandate PT for those of us with AS. Ultimately my goal is to keep my mobility.
Side note...I have been using a PEMF device for a decade and it has helped with pain and sleep❤

When I was delivered 1942 the doctor used forceps grabbing the back of my skull at the indents and pulling me out. Looking back as a child I had neurological problems but didin't give me serious problem until my mid thirties after falling down a staircase on my back, a rear end car wreck. Fracturing C5. Found then I had cervical stenosis. Spent most of my life in pain, today I have cervical instability. I've had two cervical surgeries fusions 4 5 6. Clean out of spurs from C1 thru C7. The most help I've had is chiropractic work for relief of pain. Looking back is 20/20 for me would have stayed with chiropractic work I stopped 8 years ago. And my degeneration is worse

Have been struggling with nerve neck pain for the first time in my life (fun times, not!)Trying all sorts of natural solutions mixed with non-prescription pain relief (ibuprofen and paracetamol barely work but I have hope for the new meds I bought today - Won't overdo it but it will hopefully help me sleep!)
Daily yoga will definitely be back on my daily to-do list. Kept slacking off and spending too much time slouched over devices... lesson learnt the hard way!

I'm watching your program for the first time. I have neck pains constantly. The pain travels down my arms. I fell couple times on stairs. Today by watching I feel much better knowing the real cause of pains. My doctor just prescribe pain killer and muscle relaxer. Not much explaining about the root. Your show gave me confidence and hope to use the exercises that will illiminate my paid. I've already started. I went out and got black seed oil and omrgae3 and B complex. Plus I have been taking HEMP CBD oil. Together I know I'll have a better way of enjoying a Pain free life. I would pass it on to my friends, most having the same symptom's. Some worse. Sharing something very important and understanding your human body and how it works. Thank you very much for caring about others.

You've mentioned infrared and ultrasound in this video, both in a same contest. What would be the typical case when you'll prefer ultra-sound over the infrared and vice versa? What would be the main differences in the application of two mentioned technologies (other than they both reduce inflammation)?

Have been diagnosed with cervical stenosis. Symptoms of normal cs. Also, throat tightens can't breath. Pain down to shoulder blades feel like a metal band tightening around lungs. Not able to breath or move. Painful. Lips go numb and tingly then up face to eyes, eyes go blurry from outside in. Loose vision for 45 minutes to hour. On return of vision eyes super sensitive to light and movement. Also pain. Confusion/brain fog. Unable to speak clear sentences. Very disturbing. Weigh 140 lbs. 62 yrs old. Have had injury to back of head and neck, auto accident 2013. Carved with chainsaw ten years. Normal life. Didn't set on my butt. Eat healthy and moderate excercise. After MRI. Nuerologist sent me to pain management dr. He just prescribed cymbalta and gabepentin. Not what i exspected. Thought i would be getting excercise/ not drugged up. Not taking drugs. Do not want to mask want to rejuvenate and heal. Going to try these exercises. See where it leaves me. Thank You.

I was diagnosed with cervical stenosis and was recomended surgery. It is from C2- C5 and is 3mm at its narrowest. I am 57 and still fairly active. There is only minor stiffness and intermittent achiness. I do not have pins and needles sensations or bowel or bladder involvement, I do have some weakness in the hands, though. I worry that the surgery could lead to more surgeries and that my recovery will cause me to lose more condition. What do you think Dr.? What is the difference between a laminectomy and a laminoplasty- which is preferable?

I just heard that a lot of people were in an airline travel accident maybe caused by severe air turbulence at the time. How can a person prevent arthritic changes from happening after that after they have been discharged from the hospital emergency ward after they recieve physiotherapy and other follow up medical treatment in a clinic? Should they until no longer experiencing any signs and symptoms that they hvave ever been injured in that accident near their period and during their period avoid any sports? Should they avoid taking birth control pills until then too? Would doing your routine for the rest of their life in the morning be necessary for them all too? I am past age 67 now. Wish I found your channel sooner.
