@@tackleaddictgy I ware of all that . I used the number that was on the reel given they’re both left handed reels. Those numbers on the reels mean something and should be mentioned as differences. Good review nevertheless.
Because of the dc design the side plate needs to be remove fully. I get where you're coming from (why not make the side plate to remain on the reel as how the normal slx and slx xt is design) also the slx dc xt got a better side plate lock set up.
No! The green paint is to distinguish left hand and right hand. The green is left and right is orange(I think) my best guess if yours is green its a left hand retrive also.
Kindly explain to me where I'm wrong about the slx dc dial settings. I have it as #1 being no breaking #2 being for braid #3 being for fluoro/mono and #4 being the strongest breaking for casting into oncoming wind. Kindly break it down for me how each dial is for lure weight.
XT is a 71 size reel and regular DC is 151 size which means the later is bigger and thus more line capacity.
XT stands for extra tune. 71 is the line capacity and the hand retrive (71= left hand and 70= right hand) same applies for 150 and 151.

Whiles trying to open the reel a screw got strip. Since then I just left the reel down. Didn't get to go inside as yet.

I think you might be false about dial number. slx dc 1 2 3 4 W is for lure weight not for the line(braid,fluoro or Nylon)
