Dr. Witherspoon Visits Schools for First Full Day of 2024-2025 School Year

Richland One Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon visited students, faculty, administrators and staff across the district on August 12, the first full day of the 2024-2025 school year.
Dr. Witherspoon stopped by four schools: W.J. Keenan High School, Heyward Gibbes Middle School,
Crayton Middle School, and Hopkins Elementary School.
Crayton Middle School was just named a 2024 School of Distinction by the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), becoming the first school in South Carolina to earn the distinction.
Hopkins Elementary was recently named a Visible Learning+ Certified School, becoming the first school in South Carolina to earn that distinction.
