How to stream using Elgato HD60 S on a PS4 Pro - EASY SETUP!

- What's up, everyone! I'm back at it again sharing how I stream from Streamlabs OBS using the Elgato HD60 S and their software. Today I'm only focusing on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 / PS4 Pro). I'm here to answer how to stream on PS4
At one point in the video I did say that this was a 4k model, it is not. This is not the 4k60 Pro.

This is EXTREMELY helpful, I’ve been having a hard time of getting audio from elgato onto streamlabs using it as a capture card but using this as a display capture is really genius thank you so much!!

This vid was great, I'm starting to stream and using remote play was getting old fast but I was a bit apprehensive about investing $150+ in the HD60S but I literally ordered one yesterday and this answered a couple questions that were hovering in the back of my head, the party chat cable was one of them, so you just saved me $10 :)

Can someone answer me that has done this successfully. In the vid he had “desktop audio” selected to capture the ps4 sound. Is that his headset or does my monitor need to have built in speakers in order for this to work? Also, if you use the blue snowball to talk to your friends on ps4 without the elgato chat link, would it still pick up your friends voices?
Hey, so I have 1 monitor and a elgato and a snowball mic. How can I use the snowball mic to talk to my stream. I dont care if I cant hear the game audio as long as the chat can hear it

I just got my Elgato and I contemplated how do set it up. I did realize Streamlabs and the Elgato software would work together. But was unable to find the Hide Sidebar which I knew existed but didn't know where. But this video did help out a lot and it seems like few people set it up this way as well.

I’ve been having an issue with my Elgato HD60 S, the game audio will be fine for a good few minutes, but then it will just start to crackle and then get worse and worse, eventually cutting out completely. What could the issue be?
i think you might need a chat link, my hd60s had that same issue when i tried to plug my headphones in , i think its the electric current your hearing which is the "crackle" sound. its like 10 or 15 bux and solves the issue. it did for me
I have a a few questions. Are you capturing the footage with the elegato capture program then using OBS to stream it?
If I have a wired mic for my ps4 instead of a wireless one will it affect anything? I have a usb mic for my computer.
Honestly this video has made me feel like I can finally give my capture card another chance. I've watched hours (probably near a 100 hrs) of videos trying to get it to work. I've bought like 3 or 4 extra items that other youtubers told me to get in order for it to work but it never did. I feel like I wasted money on all this stuff and I truly just want to improve my stream.
1st question) Yes, I am using the HD capture software. The instant gaming piece only. I am then using streamlabs OBS to record the desktop.
2nd question) Yes, you need to make sure your headphones are hooked up to the pc for this workaround to work.

Hi I have a question:
I’ve had my elgato for about a year now and I’ve no issues. I’ve been using it with a PS4 slim for about 3 months and had no issues. Recently, it hasn’t been working. I have enable HDCP off, and the picture doesn’t display on the monitor or the computer. I’ve tried switching the cables and reinstalling the software. Nothing fixes. It works on my Xbox but not the PS4. Any help??
Interesting. I will have to look at my exact settings but it shouldn't matter if you are using the device exactly how I am in the video.

It’s okay now all I had to do was take out my mini usb and refresh Obs
it's alright if you have the hd60 s i only have the hd60 so it's not instant
It will just be delayed.

Preciate it Sully I really do, I've had this 60S for about 3yrs and I was always able to capture Audio through Analog rather than HDMI. I recently moved a few months ago from my old place and even at that time most of my audio was captured was not only through but ONLY Analog. Right now I just switched everything to HDMI both PS4 via sound and screen and the elgato software and now my sound meter is finally picking up audio. It's weird, but again thanks a lot!
Do you plug the microphone into your playstation or your pc and where does the headset go, I've tried to fix my audio for 2 months straight now, and I can't get it to work, please help me anyone. I'm desperate.

Awesome video and thank you for showing us! I have one question though, when you are playing, are you hearing the game sound from your monitor or through your headphones. If through your headphones, where do you connect your headphones too if the ps4 is pushing the audio out through the monitor?

Im trying to use an a gaming headset with a built in mic. I was only able to connect the headset through the pc, however it only picks up the mic and not the headphones so my party chat is still coming out of the speakers. Is there an easy fix or do I need to buy a standalone mic and headphones?

Quick question, im not getting the option on my ps4 for primary output port, only thing that pops up us the audio format. I'm using the blue yeti USB to my PC for stream chat audio, is there a way to also use that for PS4 game chat so my audio correction settings remain or is there a way to use my astro a10's for chat and yeti for stream? When i plug the astro a10's which are a 3.5mm i lose game sound from my computer. Any thoughts?
I’m late, but when I stream I get a slight input delay. It’s not noticeable when I play some games, but when I play fighting games I notice it so much and it’s really annoying
It could be the frame rate on the fighting game.
So I'm using it the regular way.ps4 pro,into elgato ,into a monitor .then into my desktop .
My question ,it seems like the elgato game capture app has to stay on in the background, while I'm using streamlabs to stream from? Because I turned off the elgato capture in the background and it wouldn't pick up my mic ,only game sound and picture .and also..what about the elgato settings for encoder and all that jaz ,I set it to cpu I think instead of my gpu..but in my slobs ,i have it set n.264 ...I'm new to the whole capture card.ive been using remote play for a year lol how i survived I'm not sure
so if i have a turtle beach stealth 700 headset and a blue yeti for my viewers. Is there anyway to have the blue yeti be the microphone for both stream and ingame or should I just use the turtle beach one for when I switch to ingame
Any idea why I'm getting device required usb 3.0 I have usb 3.1 on my laptop but still cannot get it to work?
Drivers, I would make sure the device is fully updated. Or download an older 3.0 driver.
