You can use a controller, if you use a dummy ps5 account to log of with remote play, then turn on the controller and select your account and it will not switch off remote play

Glad I could help! Once you get OBS set up and familiar, you should definitely pick up an Elgato later. The quality of the stream is much better with a capture card, but this is a good way to practice without dropping $150-$200 ya know 👍🏾

Yo this is CLUTCH! I haven't streamed in maybe over 4 years and decided to try to get back into it. Found my old HD60 S, tried to do all the HDMI's and BS trying to set it up on Elgato but I just couldn't get it just right. I would've never thought of using PS Remote play, shit I didn't even know you could download it on PC LOL. Arigato bro!

@@Dax79 Just checked it out. Yeah it's definitely double feedback to the point it clips the audio. Check you audio meters in OBS (the audio mixer section). See if you have two sources that are both playing the same audio and mute one of them.
Are you monitoring your stream on the same computer in another window, like on TH-cam or something? You might be picking up audio from that too. Make sure there's no extra streams of your audio playing anywhere.
PRO TIP: You can double check your stream on your phone once you go live and make sure you look good and audio is solid before starting your show. I do this EVERY TIME I go live. Let me know if you figured it out.

No, I was monitoring just in OBS as (Ironicly) I didn't want my desktop feeding back. I have the PS5 on remote play, monitoring sound along with the came in my headset.

Nice vid. Do you know how I can improve my remote play output? I have setup everything as you mentioned, but the remote play stream looks choppy.
Yeah it all depends on your internet speeds and your bitrate settings. If the game is choppy from the remote play, then it’s your internet connection. If you’re doing this one wifi, it’ll most likely be choppy. Try using an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection 👍🏾

Yeah I’m not sure people understand that this method is not like perfect streaming or something. It all depends on your internet speeds, if you are on wifi or Ethernet, etc. If you want excellent almost worry free streaming, just get an Elgato and your straight. Or do this until you’re ready to get an Elgato.
So can you only game on a pc monitor with this? I am totally new to all this I want to start streaming but don’t wanna go down to a monitor. Why use display capture? Then you won't be able to do things on you PC/laptop?
I use the remote play on Xbox and just use game capture in OBS and the audio is captured .
what kind of upload and download speeds would you recommend for wifi to have good quality streams?
So you want at least double the bitrate you're streaming at in upload speeds. For example: if you're bitrate is 6000kpbs (Full HD) you want to have at least 12mbps upload speeds. That's your basic 100mbps internet plan here in the US. I personal have Gigabit speeds so I can do 4K streaming 👍🏾

Awesome stuff. I'm "new"/clueless. So you are streaming content on remote play, but how are you playing? Through the controller connected to your PC? Isn't there a delay in remote play?

You’re playing through your PC so there may be a slight delay. Really just depends on your internet speeds and connectivity. It’s not perfect but it’s FREE 😂

The resolution is actually 720P through remote play. You should play the game on your TV/Monitor. You can still play the game like normal and if you have good internet, it should be 1 to 1 with the remote play on your computer so no controller lag.

I also just learned the capture card elgato HD60 X will limit the pass thru of my 4k, 120hz, 120fps, 2.1 hdmi

At 52 I need the visual aides. The reduction to 1080p/120hz or 4k/60hz.
What can I do. On the other end my laptop is i7 processor.

Did some research just to be sure, but it looks like Elgato current doesn’t have a card that can passthrough a 4K 120hz signal. It works with HDMI 2.0 but not 2.1. You can still use the 2.1, it just can’t take advantage of it. There may be some other cards on the market that can do it. But the 4K60 Pro MK.2 is their highest end card, and can only pass through up to 4K 60hz or 1440p 120hz. Hope this helps! 🙏🏾

No the black screen could be a few things. Make sure you connected the HDMIs into the right ports. (PS5 to In part, monitor/TV to out port.) Then restart OBS or Streamlabs and try to add it again. Make sure you also have the Elgato plugged into your computer you’re streaming from.
Just as an alternative, not sure if it still works with the PS5 but I used it with the PS4. But if you want to play directly on the PS5 rather than the PC, but still want to record, you should be able to link up your Remote Play using Account A, then play on the PS5 with Account B. Since they are different accounts, as long as you don't log out of Account A you should be fine to run it.

No, it turns out that your controller acts as a mic for your party chat. It won't use your headphones when doing remote play.

Nope you can use wired headphones just fine. Just select whatever your computer labels your headphones as. It differs a lot what people computers call their headphones when plugged in.
I tried this but my video quality was terrible and very laggy. I’m not sure what the issue is. I have it connected via Ethernet.

Looks like you’re only using one monitor. Here’s how to set it up with one monitor (from the free PDF guide in the description ✌🏾):
In the source section to the right of “scenes”, click the plus button to add a new source. We are going to add a “Window Capture”. Name it something like “Game Capture” and click OK. You should see a new window pop up with some settings.
For “Window” select [Remote Play.exe]: PS Remote Play.
NOTE: You might see a black screen in the preview when you select this. Change “Capture Method” from “Automatic” to “Windows 10 (1903 and up)”. Mines say Windows 10 but it might say 11 if you are running Windows 11. This should make the capture pop up.

I have heard el gato does ssd where you can stream without a pc however I know there expensive and I have little money so don’t want to invest in one to learn I still can’t earn from streaming. How do we hear party chat with headphones using application capture anyone?! I have an additional mic as well and I’m streaming live, not recording.
I’d just use discord. If your party is ok with hoping into a discord party with you, it would be better for your streams too. You can control audio lvls better in discords.
Everytime i connect my controller directly, it doesnt turn on. Only bluetooth will turn my controller on

Might be a daft question but is it not possible to stream from console (ps5) while using your OBS for the selfie cam?
Hmm if I’m understanding then question correctly your streaming from the PS5 directly which means that’s the broadcasting device. You won’t be able to connect OBS to it like that. You should just use the PS5 camera if streaming straight from the PS5

It could be that your PC's audio is all confused. With your headphones connected, go to your PC's Settings -> System -> Sound and make sure the output device is set to your headphones. In OBS check your game audio source under the Audio Mixer -> Advanced Audio Properties and make sure your Audio Monitoring is set to off. You might also have a Desktop Audio source or Mix/Auxiliary audio source automatically set up as a source. Make sure that monitoring is off for this source as well. It's hard to tell exactly what might be wrong without seeing your setup, but if you have any more problems, feel free to schedule a call with me here: bit.ly/3tHGYWR

Oof yeah you may be able to do it with hp laptop but don’t expect better quality than straight off the console. I mean if you have fast internet and a Lan connection, you get better quality with this method for sure. Doesn’t hurt to give it and see how it turns out ✌🏾

That's more than enough, but remember it's more about your internet speeds than your system. If you have slow internet where you're streaming, you'll have lower quality in the remote play and some lag.

@HarlinTutoriales you can minimize delay by using Ethernet for both your PC and PS5. Or you can get better wifi speeds from your provider. The delay will always be there though, just not as much with better connections.

Are you using a Chromebook? I’m not sure Chrome OS has support for PS Remote Play.

bro ps remote play logo is fixed it wont remove with language change
decided to give this a try. It works, but I ran into some issues. The controller seems laggy or the inputs start acting buggy when Im playing games on the PS5. I'm playing GranBlue Relink. I move my character then go to attack and the character either just stands there or keeps moving even if I stopped touching the joystick??
Your quality will vary greatly if you're using wifi or you have slow internet speeds. The button lag will definitely happen if your internet is slow or being used by a lot of people at once, etc. Try making sure your PS5 is using ethernet. You could always get a capture card too as the best solution.
@@DatSamurai Most def will be using a capture card. I tested my internet connections and it's hitting pretty damn high. Problem with ethernet is that the box is on the first floor and my gaming/office room is on the second so I might be SOL on that front :/
@MonroesArtStudio If you can, try contacting your service provider and ask if they can route a wire through the wall down to your router. Verizon did that for me when they set me up, (my office is on the second floor of my house).
For me the Display capture doesn't capture the remote play, and the window capture reads it but it's a black screen..

Nope, you can use one. You just capture the one screen then put the remote play full screen and that’ll work. You just can’t monitor your stream unfortunately. Unless you use your phone to see comments or see if your stream is up 👍🏾
