Just as an alternative, not sure if it still works with the PS5 but I used it with the PS4. But if you want to play directly on the PS5 rather than the PC, but still want to record, you should be able to link up your Remote Play using Account A, then play on the PS5 with Account B. Since they are different accounts, as long as you don't log out of Account A you should be fine to run it.

Yeah I’m not sure people understand that this method is not like perfect streaming or something. It all depends on your internet speeds, if you are on wifi or Ethernet, etc. If you want excellent almost worry free streaming, just get an Elgato and your straight. Or do this until you’re ready to get an Elgato.

Aye bet! Glad it helped! And there are two good ways to multistream. This short I did shows you how to do it free straight from OBS: th-cam.com/users/shortsXe_fPjDDBk8?feature=share
Right. You can connect the controller via Bluetooth, but the Remote Play app can only see the controller when it’s connected with wire. Doesn’t make sense, but that’s PlayStation for ya.
Saw some comments on this about connecting using the "connect audio beta" version on the display capture in OBS. Personally i had issues with going this route. I tried tons of different ways to connect audio but every way (other than what was presented in this video of connecting it using audio output from your headphones) didnt work for me. I had terrible audio quality on replay of recording using these other methods. Spent days trying to resolve and finally was able to thanks to this video. Figured i'd add a response in case anyone else has the same issues i was running into.
Why use display capture? Then you won't be able to do things on you PC/laptop? I use the remote play on Xbox and just use game capture in OBS and the audio is captured .
Hey man, thanks for this video! Got a question about the controller connection. Ive been seeing on other videos that theres major input latency issues when streaming ps5 through pc. Is this something thats corrected simply by connectiing through pc and not the console? Didnt look like there was that issue in your video.
Hey glad to help! In my experience, I experience the same lag as you normally would playing natively on console (12ms). I think it comes down to your internet connect. In my testing, my PC and console are both on ethernet in the same room. Also I have gigabit speeds with Verizon and only 1 other person using the wifi at a time. So my conditions are perfect. If you're experiencing lag, you can try the dummy controller method by connecting a controller from a different profile to your console and that won't end the remote play session. But I'm not sure how it works exactly but others suggest this. Hope this helps!
@HarlinTutoriales you can minimize delay by using Ethernet for both your PC and PS5. Or you can get better wifi speeds from your provider. The delay will always be there though, just not as much with better connections.
Sure can! Just follow the steps for adding VTuber Studio to OBS. If I remember correctly, it’s just a browser source with the alpha channel effect for green screen.
So what you have to connect a controller to the computer? And then an ethernet cable to the computer? What about the PS5? What network does that get connected to for internet?
Yep you connect the controller to the computer. Everything can be on Wifi but for better quality, ethernet is best. It doesn't matter which network, just as long as you have internet on both devices (PC and PS5).

So when I click display it says I only got the primary monitor and I did what your pdf said to do and it didn’t add the ps remote play to a display still
Hmm if I’m understanding then question correctly your streaming from the PS5 directly which means that’s the broadcasting device. You won’t be able to connect OBS to it like that. You should just use the PS5 camera if streaming straight from the PS5

Awesome stuff. I'm "new"/clueless. So you are streaming content on remote play, but how are you playing? Through the controller connected to your PC? Isn't there a delay in remote play?

Lol well I don’t stream this way at all. I’ve been using Elgato since 2017. It’s just I know a lot of people can’t afford it or won’t buy one for streaming as a hobby
So you want at least double the bitrate you're streaming at in upload speeds. For example: if you're bitrate is 6000kpbs (Full HD) you want to have at least 12mbps upload speeds. That's your basic 100mbps internet plan here in the US. I personal have Gigabit speeds so I can do 4K streaming 👍🏾

Argh, not going to work for me, I'm trying to remote play with a T150 wheel for GT7 so it obviously has to be connected to the PS5. Why can't Sony just allow us to have a "Remote View" feature specifically for helping streamers?
@DatSamurai yoooo first of all i really thank you for sharing this with us. But do you maybe know why the quality of my gameplay (not while im in lobby) is so poorly on my screen (on streaming platforms its looking clean). Is there like any options to change that??
The resolution is actually 720P through remote play. You should play the game on your TV/Monitor. You can still play the game like normal and if you have good internet, it should be 1 to 1 with the remote play on your computer so no controller lag.
the video was supper helpful but when i went and checked my stream during the quality as so bad ): i checked in the ps remote play app and it goes max 720 without the hdr but i dont know how to set up the hdr and dont know if i can , any tips?

OBS can run on a Linux OS which you can activate in your Chromebook developer settings. But it seems like it doesn’t actually run the app when downloaded. Take a look at this forum and see if you can follow the steps one guy laid out. obsproject.com/forum/threads/installing-obs-on-new-chromebook.157025/
I have a question so I have a hd60s+ and it's not connecting to stream labs or obs just a black screen. Is it because I'm using my hdmi 2.1 cord that came with my ps5? Since the hdmi 2.0 had come with it when I was streaming off the Xbox one s... was just wondering. Thank you so much and have a great day!
No the black screen could be a few things. Make sure you connected the HDMIs into the right ports. (PS5 to In part, monitor/TV to out port.) Then restart OBS or Streamlabs and try to add it again. Make sure you also have the Elgato plugged into your computer you’re streaming from.
First I would like to thank you. I love your videos. I just purchased the Sony m9 monitor to game/stream ps5 warzone 2.0. I also just learned the capture card elgato HD60 X will limit the pass thru of my 4k, 120hz, 120fps, 2.1 hdmi gameplay. Is there a solution? At 52 I need the visual aides. The reduction to 1080p/120hz or 4k/60hz. What can I do. On the other end my laptop is i7 processor. Spent all my monies on the front end. I bought everything you recommended.
Aye glad I could help 🙏🏾 Did some research just to be sure, but it looks like Elgato current doesn’t have a card that can passthrough a 4K 120hz signal. It works with HDMI 2.0 but not 2.1. You can still use the 2.1, it just can’t take advantage of it. There may be some other cards on the market that can do it. But the 4K60 Pro MK.2 is their highest end card, and can only pass through up to 4K 60hz or 1440p 120hz. Hope this helps! 🙏🏾
Yeah it all depends on your internet speeds and your bitrate settings. If the game is choppy from the remote play, then it’s your internet connection. If you’re doing this one wifi, it’ll most likely be choppy. Try using an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection 👍🏾

Bro you are amazing! Best video walk through for sure.
Thank you soo much! This was super easy to follow and I was able to do my first stream! But it kept glitching every 5 seconds, do I need a separate internet box or something?
I love you.(not literally)
😂 Glad I could help! 🙏🏾
So when I click display it says I only got the primary monitor and I did what your pdf said to do and it didn’t add the ps remote play to a display still
Try closing OBS and reopen it after you set up the remote play. Sometimes Display Capture won’t show new windows after OBS is opened.
Might be a daft question but is it not possible to stream from console (ps5) while using your OBS for the selfie cam?
Hmm if I’m understanding then question correctly your streaming from the PS5 directly which means that’s the broadcasting device. You won’t be able to connect OBS to it like that. You should just use the PS5 camera if streaming straight from the PS5
This was super helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
Happy I could help! 🙏🏾
thank you! question though...I have a wired headset and before all this i connect my headset to the ps5 controller and using a yeti for mic connected to ps5. but with this set up, do i plug in the headset and the mic to the pc? How i do talk to my teammates in game though?
Awesome stuff. I'm "new"/clueless. So you are streaming content on remote play, but how are you playing? Through the controller connected to your PC? Isn't there a delay in remote play?
No worries lol
You’re playing through your PC so there may be a slight delay. Really just depends on your internet speeds and connectivity. It’s not perfect but it’s FREE 😂
@@DatSamurai Agree with you 100%. Great explanation and knowledge, kudos!
this is great thank you
Is it possible to have the voice audio from ur headset streamed with the gameplay?
Only for your party Audio but not game chat. Just change the party from headset to HDMI.
Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
hey man ! i cant find the output device, it's like i have none, can somebody explain ? im on a mac ! thank you
Yo! Check out this video:th-cam.com/video/Bd6-dY3KPkg/w-d-xo.html
It's a different process for MacOS. In this video, I show exactly how to do it on Mac. Hope it helps!
Why don’t I see the “capture method automatic” and when I hit the display it only says “built in Retina display”
give this man more likes, great walkthrough video keep it up
Appreciate you🙏🏾 more vids coming real soon!
@@DatSamurai question to follow-up, is there a way to make this look less blurry? it doesn't look as vibrant as directly on the ps5, like is there a resolution fix? I play on 1440p monitor so idk if this is just maxed at 1080p?
Like your videos how you do it step by step slow and easy😊
Is this with a dual monitor?
Yes, but you don't need two monitors. It makes everything way easier though.
This method is how I started streaming with kingdom hearts 3
Word!? I was coming up with all kinds of different ways 😅 didn’t know remote play for PS was this reliable
@@DatSamurai yea it def was the move bro.
Lol well I don’t stream this way at all. I’ve been using Elgato since 2017. It’s just I know a lot of people can’t afford it or won’t buy one for streaming as a hobby
@@DatSamurai oh mod def I get it. I’ve upgraded since then I just remember the glory days
This was extremely helpful. Thank you VERY MUCH!
You're very much welcome! 🙏🏾
what kind of upload and download speeds would you recommend for wifi to have good quality streams?
So you want at least double the bitrate you're streaming at in upload speeds. For example: if you're bitrate is 6000kpbs (Full HD) you want to have at least 12mbps upload speeds. That's your basic 100mbps internet plan here in the US. I personal have Gigabit speeds so I can do 4K streaming 👍🏾
Awesome crazy inane video!
thank you so much my brother... tahnk you
You lost me at adding "Sources" > "Display Capture". Im trying to set up from a Mac laptop with OBS to my PS5. The remote play was set up successfully and shows on my laptop screen but the display capture source aint capturing my display, lol. SOS
Lol no worries! You’re gonna wanna check out the Mac version of this video here: th-cam.com/video/Bd6-dY3KPkg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AZc-eHU2HcGZ1BWK
On Mac you’re gonna use the MacOS Screen Capture source, change the Method to Window and find your Remote Play window in the drop down box. Add that and fit to screen. Check out the video and the free PDF Guide if you get stuck 🙏🏾
So, could I still be in a party and have my microphone connected for PlayStation and it would work?
When I try to do the display capture I'm not getting the option for the PS
it does not let me display my remote play capture on obs HELP
What PC do you have? Are you using Mac? because that has a different setup required
@steamingsenpai is their a way to do this without a pc? With an iPad or iOS? I want to start streaming but don’t have a pc and can’t afford one. I have heard el gato does ssd where you can stream without a pc however I know there expensive and I have little money so don’t want to invest in one to learn I still can’t earn from streaming. Any tips or pointers or videos you have that may help me I would be real grateful if you could share here. All the best Jack
Hey Jack! This is a way to do it on IOS. I have a video explaining how to do it, but the app I used is dead. There are other apps you can use, but check out this video. You can do that same concept in the other apps: th-cam.com/video/0crungvH3k8/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much sir! this helped me tremendously.
Yo, everything is working amazing but My friends can't hear me at PlayStation parties?
Your mic will be your controller with this method. Make sure your controller mic isn’t muted 👍🏾
Argh, not going to work for me, I'm trying to remote play with a T150 wheel for GT7 so it obviously has to be connected to the PS5. Why can't Sony just allow us to have a "Remote View" feature specifically for helping streamers?
Dang! I definitely feel ya on that one. Hopefully you can’t find a workaround for the wheel connection 🙏🏾
@@DatSamurai Fixed it with a second controller, turns out you dont have to use a controller connected to your PC at all
@DatSamurai yoooo first of all i really thank you for sharing this with us.
Why does it think my computer is another controller and it won’t let me play ?
the video was supper helpful but when i went and checked my stream during the quality as so bad ): i checked in the ps remote play app and it goes max 720 without the hdr but i dont know how to set up the hdr and dont know if i can , any tips?
No worries! Yeah the quality relies heavily on your internet connection. Are you able to get a capture card at all? I made a video comparing some at various price points here: th-cam.com/video/2Qdx4wwwk90/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TjTwZeIND5_bihjF
Can you somehow use this method without having 2 displays available? Can the ps remote app act as a kind of virtual display to output in OBS?
Check out the PDF guide. I show how to do it with one monitor. bit.ly/PS5-OBS-PDF
Will do, thanks a lot @@DatSamurai
does this work on chromebook too ? please respond because i have been researching this for a year and don't have a solution for it
OBS can run on a Linux OS which you can activate in your Chromebook developer settings. But it seems like it doesn’t actually run the app when downloaded. Take a look at this forum and see if you can follow the steps one guy laid out. obsproject.com/forum/threads/installing-obs-on-new-chromebook.157025/
I don’t recommend using a Chromebook to stream with OBS though. If you can get a Windows gaming laptop, you will have no issues.
I also just learned the capture card elgato HD60 X will limit the pass thru of my 4k, 120hz, 120fps, 2.1 hdmi
gameplay.
Is there a solution?
At 52 I need the visual aides. The reduction to 1080p/120hz or 4k/60hz.
What can I do. On the other end my laptop is i7 processor.
Spent all my monies on the front end. I bought everything you recommended.
Aye glad I could help 🙏🏾
Did some research just to be sure, but it looks like Elgato current doesn’t have a card that can passthrough a 4K 120hz signal. 🙏🏾
doing remote play on the pc will it have input delay when playing games?
Hold alt while dragging to crop
Is there a way to have a mic for chat and a mic for game while streaming from ps5 to obs?
Can we talk and hear the party chat and game chat with wireless headset?
How much delay?
It really depends on if you’re on WiFi or Ethernet and your internet speeds. In my testing (best case scenario) there’s no lag
Nice vid. Do you know how I can improve my remote play output? I have setup everything as you mentioned, but the remote play stream looks choppy.
Yeah it all depends on your internet speeds and your bitrate settings. If the game is choppy from the remote play, then it’s your internet connection. If you’re doing this one wifi, it’ll most likely be choppy. Try using an Ethernet cable for a more stable connection 👍🏾
Hey Streaming Senpai, I have a question! The current versions of both Remote Play and OBS... i can't seem to find a way to locate the Remote paly window in any of the Window capture/Display capture options. Same with Google Chrome honestly. Am I crazy, or do I have some setting turned off not letting me see either my windows? Thanks!
Weird 🤔 I’ll look into this 🙏🏾
@@DatSamurai Thanks for replying and let me know if you find anything odd!
Same I can’t find It
Nvm it’s because you have to click on window capture
so you are forced to play with dualshock via wire? :p
No lol you can pair your controller via Bluetooth with your computer if you want. The wire is for those who don’t have Bluetooth on PC.
Doing remote play on pc, does it create input lag or is there even a notice difference?
It can, but it depends on your internet connection. In my play test, I don’t get much input lag but I got gigabit speeds and I’m right next to my router using Ethernet
