I think everyone here remembers the moment when they discovered the magic that is the Ramones. Shortly before they broke up I remember them being pissed that they were being overshadowed by newer punk bands and not getting the credit they deserve. I wish they could only know how much they have influenced all of our lives and how much of a difference they made in the history of rock and roll. And not to say anything bad about this AWESOME, KICKASS cover, but Joey sings (at least in studio) that he drank in bars "To Understand your foreign policy", like he's talking directly to Bonzo. Anyway, surely one of the best songs ever, and this cover damn sure does it justice. Thanks a ton!

Pure Energy. I remember buying this on a 12 inch release around 1984-85ish. Then it came out on Animal Boy. The 12 inch version was more rockin. The Animal Boy version had a little more key board but it was all a long time ago so perhaps after 35 + years my memory I had faded.
I really like these pop songs on Animal Boy (Bonzo, Something to Believe in and She Belongs to Me) and Too Tough to Die (Howling at the Moon, Chasing the Night and Daytime Dilemma). I consider those the best songs the band made after Pleasant Dreams.

This was my first introduction to your "Mikey and his Uke" series and I had just just gotten sober in probably the hardest year any of us have endured in our lives and was feeling raw as all hell. This version of this song made me feel all of the feels and I wept. I wasn't even totally sure why I was weeping but I know it made me feel hope, seeing everyone together even if it was just through telecom. I am now 1yr and 4days sober and this song still invokes major fees and I have been a fan of this series and look forward to new releases even though I understand that as things open back up to normal(ish) we get less and less of them. I digress, thank you Mikey for all of these amazing jams and all of your hard work to make these videos and all those involved in the process. Love. Love. Love.

I can’t believe the energy this pulls through me. I have watched and listened at least a 100 times and saw the Ramones play it live at least 30 times, just incredible what you all are doing with all of these great artists. There has been a lot of great music coming out of the pandemic, but this is hands down the best. Best cover of 2020. Best quarantine video of 2020. Nikola and Chris trading vocals were amazing. Props to all the musicians involved and all those involved in mixing it. Well done, Mikey.

I can’t believe the energy this pulls through me. I have watched and listened at least a 100 times and saw the Ramones play it live at least 30 times, just incredible what you all are doing with all of these great artists. Somewhere there is a six foot six inch tall, long black haired spirit with a rarely seen smile and railing his mic stand back and forth and is proud of you all not just for the greatness of this song, but the entire colab jam thing repping great bands across this great, energetic musical spectrum. Again, thank you so much for saving many of us and bringing us the memories and power of the days we all spent thrashing by board, bike, in the pit or other. And whoever downvoted this... are you fucking serious?? Clearly you meant to be on a Fox News clip about the Donald... see ya in the pit!
