Great little mission, genuine fun idea, well executed. Can only imagine the pain of carrying that annoying ladder after the novelty wore off 😂. Go ladders!
It has been awhile since you made a video.........Good JOb... to you and James, sloppy mess climbing thru the wet bushes,, no stinging nettles in NZ??? thanks from the USA 👍👍
The bad nettles ( real bad...Urtica Ferox ) are mainly in swampy areas which they didn't have to encounter. Then out on the tops nothing bad at all. Back in the bush they would probably have had patches of Tatramona, latin Rubus Cissoides, also common Bush Lawyer, which has short, very sharp back facing spines that will rip clothes and flesh if you try to pull clear. And with a ladder! Not much fun. NZ is quite a forgiving place to take on this kind of enterprise, except that the Tararuas are famous for murdering folk with massive sudden swings in the weather.
I commented on your straight line video that you should have taken a ladder. Let me say, this isn't the kind of ladder I was thinking of! Totally mad lads.
Challenge idea: walk around some geographic feature (e.g. Mt. Taranaki) in a perfect circle. Could be a fun twist on the straight line mission genre ...
Incredible concept and execution, as always! Excellently and succinctly edited too! Huge congrats on this! You’re definitely some of the most fit teenagers in new zealand! Love seeing the incredible landscape too! (one thought though… why didn’t you buy a lightweight plastic stepladder?!?!)
The fact this has so few views is sad and dissapointing as it is made and edited so expertly! Ollie, have you tried sharing this on some different subreddits?
here's a few challenge ideas for you - walk the full circumference of Lake Taupo (or another of NZ's biggest lakes) walk the full circumference of Stewart Island walk a straight line between the 5 highest peaks in NZ walk the full length of the River Waikato

Hi
Dad: "Go change the light bulb in the shed out back"
The walk to the shed out back:
Great little mission, genuine fun idea, well executed. Can only imagine the pain of carrying that annoying ladder after the novelty wore off 😂. Go ladders!
'Raised by step ladder' had me cracking up for way to long
This was an awesome mission guys, hahaha. I can't imagine lugging around a ladder for that long, let alone in those conditions. A solid effort!
Another excellent video from you two 👏
James, getting to work on time. That man deserves a DB!
If you want more of the champion that is James, Check out his channel I’ve tagged in the description :)
As a mere 5 foot 1 , I salute you!
Hope you return with more adventures one day. This was a great idea for a challenge

This is such a silly idea.
I love it.
a simply astonishing demonstration of human ingenuity and persistence. we should all be inspired to get as high these guys
such a great idea
Ollie, James, you are mad - and I enjoyed every minute! Although I am bemused at the premise given Ollie is renowned to be stealthily tall.
I don't remember subscribing but this was awesome 😁 very cool
This outrageously hilarious.
Brilliant. Reminds me of Beau Miles content. Keep it up.
Thanks so much :)!
@@ollie_taylor look forward to the next straight line attempt.
Need more content like this lads.
Well that was different lol, well done, ya mad bastards lol

Adorable
👍👍👍
on behalf of tall people, i apologise
On behalf of tall people, this is war.
Absolute beasts! Keep it up sh-, tall king!
Will you be doing another SLM?
When I looked at the thumbnail I assumed you meant the tramp in the tararua ranges with the big ladder, but this was much more entertaining.
The fact this has so few views is sad and dissapointing as it is made and edited so expertly! Ollie, have you tried sharing this on some different subreddits?
Cool video dude.
here's a few challenge ideas for you -
walk the full circumference of Lake Taupo (or another of NZ's biggest lakes)
walk the full circumference of Stewart Island
walk a straight line between the 5 highest peaks in NZ
walk the full length of the River Waikato
The third one is straight up impossible.
For ideas, something I've always wanted to try is walking from trig to trig all over nz like te araroa but orienteering lol
Enjoyed. A shame that YT algorithms lack a sense of the ridiculous.
What happens if someone climbs the same mountain with a taller ladder?
Well then they would need to do it again with 3 ladders and make a ladder prermid
I wish them the best of luck with their endeavor
gona cross NZ finally?
Stop scaring your Grandma 😂
why not stilts
broo this was a sick idea great vid
