Great episode as always.
One of the few podcasts I make the time to listen to. Keep up the good work guys GHG
This version of Armia has been very good lately. He's actually a good fit with a guy like Roy too. Marty gotta keep him motivated, however that is done. Such a lovable guy.
the trick is to send him to Laval for a week every 2 months, keep him honest lol
great show !
Love you guys, this is my favorite podcast I look forward watching it every Monday and Friday, great job , keep it up
The Cure did in fact talk about Mondays in their 1992 hit song "Friday I'm in Love":
"I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday, I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday, I'm in love."
Great insights!!
I have always been impressed with Ylonen's skating and speed, and his technical ability with the puck. Unfortunately, so far, there does appear to be a book on him with respect to handling the physical side of the game at this level.
Ive always been a huge fan of joel armia
Armia has some sweet hands and is quite good when he is feeling it, I've always liked him although it is sometimes hard to watch when he is in a down time. Too bad he couldn't get his mind in the right place because he would be a good second line winger on a lot of teams, size, skill, protects the puck like no other Hab when he is on.
Armia was brilliant in Laval. What a great attitude to go down there and not show disappointment and basically kill it while he was there.
The "boomtown rat's" sing it 💕
When it comes to signing Ghule and Slav, I’m more inclined for bridge deals until some of the other contracts get off the books. We have a few guys on 2-3 years left that are over payed that could make it easier to sign these guys. As well as give them more run time to see how much more they can grow.
We don't have a lack of cap space right now. Bridging promising players just means you get stuck paying them more in your competitive window.
I don’t care if Monday’s blue 🎼 🎶 🎵 that’s from The Cure hehehe Cheers from Santiago, Chile 🇨🇱
Guhle has a higher PPG 5v5 than Sanderson.
Boomtown Rats
Army is a great in the playoffs, if a team would to trade for him , well , I wouldn't care what he does after he leaves the team , that's other team problem , let them deal with that , that's my opinion
Is it me or Armia plays started to get better when he played with Monahan? Cuddos to him for keeping the pace without him ! or Maybe I am just missing Monahan ....
The Boomtown Rats
I actually hope the habs resign Armia, in the long run you need PK experts and Armia is worth every penny he makes just from his defensive part of the game , great leader and great vet. The only reason the habs put Armia on waivers is because they couldn’t do it to Gallagher and Anderson due to their long contract and it would have turn into a drama . armia handled this whole thing like a boss. Armia on a third defensive line long term is a good idea , plus I’m sure he won’t ask for much on his next contract
Anderson needs a big wake up call press box or conditioning stint to Laval or is he playing hurt?
Beregevin overpaid, Armia scores a hat trick one game next game hes a ghost.
Slav 👎
No matter what the reasons are, Armia is simply not consistent and he is not a leader period. Such a frustrating player, reminds me of Drouin. I don't see any team picking him up this year since he has another season on his contrat. So we have no choice but to live with him as long as we don't slow down the development of our young guys.
