We need more FJ80/FZJ80 videos! A lot of us are do-it-yourselfers. Keep up the great work!

Tim can you tell us how much was the truck lifted after the installation and did you check the caster on an alignment machine to see if the caster is still within spec? Thanks.

Very nicely done and very comprehensive. Most of the time you don't need to take off that rear panhard. One thing I would suggest is to use anti-seize on those nuts and bolts. You'll save yourself or whomever is working on it later a lot of headache. Same with using it or some type of rubber safe grease on the bushings.

Hey Tim I'm your newest subscriber got a question. I have a '96 fzj80 and will be installing 2" lift springs front and rear. I currently have new stock shocks installed last year. Can I use these 2" lift springs with my new stock shocks? The extended length on the front stock shock is 23.07" vs. 24.22" with lift shocks. In the rear the stock shock is 22.87" vs. 24.33" . So in the front I would be short by 1.15" and in the rear I would be short by 1.46". Is this significant, what will be the effect of running the lifted springs with the stock shocks? Thanks.

Hey Timmy, How's it going? I haven't seen any new fzj80 videos from you lately. I hope you have something in the works. Got a question, been watching a lot of guys installing a CDL switch on their fzj80. Could you explain the benefits of having this switch? Can you shift on the fly in 4H with this switch? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Come in Timmy. I have a T100 and I replaced the shot Monroe shocks that came on the truck with Bilstein B6 4600 shocks, but I kept the stock springs . It used to be very harsh but it now drives great. I doubt it could be any better. I am thinking of doing the same thing with our 94 FJZ80 - getting Bilsteins and keeping the stock springs. The price for a set of 4 shocks is very reasonable. We use the LC for deep snow and touring around Colorado, but not for serious off-roading like in youtube videos at Moab. Do you like or dislike the idea of upgrading to Bilstein shocks with the stock springs?

This was really really helpful. For someone who is very new to my FJ80 and equally new to DIY repairs and upgrades...I understood it completely. All of this due to your detail and comedic timing :)
