  • In todays video the Toyota Land cruiser finally makes it to the shop for a suspension upgrade. I ended up going with the ARB 4X4 Old Man Emu 2.5. We ended up gaining about 2 inches overall and the ride quality improved.
    Up next wheels and tires.

    did they extend the Rear Sway bar Drop Brackets? There's a bit more than just putting in the hardware.

      @Mark-Dibble ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not required on 80 series cruisers when lifted less than 3 inches. Stock brake lines and drive shafts are also plenty long for the lift too.

    • @TheSenorChavez
      @TheSenorChavez ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Mark-Dibble IMHO, you should really extend them, it needs to sit in a happier angle or the bushings are wasted in short order.

    Bro finally got delivery on my 2023 tundra, plan on getting my alucab from tiny rig, and plan on getting a icon suspension system from their headquarters in riverside.

      Nice! Dobinsons was a little out of my budget, maybe in the near future

    It probably rides higher too because you don’t have any weight on it if they’re the “heavy” set on the springs.

    Nice bro!! I have the 40th Anniversary. Thinking of doing the same. How much did the part cost you? Thanks!

    I have a question for you 4x4 industry experts! (and I wonder if you can tell me if it's true that the ironman nitro gas shocks match well with the original setup and can be retrofitted with the +5? I have a suzuki jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3 l gas engine with shock absorbers and standard settings, yesterday afternoon I bought the new ironman nitro gas shock absorbers and the 4x4 spare parts dealer in Florence told me that these ironman nitro gas shock absorbers are suitable for 4x4 off-road vehicles with original finish or in a second you could put the springs higher and it would become a +5 high finish, is that true? Greetings from Florence, Italy!)

    Which Ome springs exactly? I have the 850 heavy with Arb in front, the 860 mediums at rear, constant 300 lbs of gear. Still rides like a HD truck! The nitro charger shocks are really firm to imo. Suspension settled down around 1/4 inch after a month.
    If I had to do it over, definitely dual rate coils, at minimum on front.
    After 5 years still a rough ride on the street. 35s at 30 psi do help soften it up. Off road is great tho! It does corner like a rally car which is fun. I had exactly 1900 pounds of concrete block, just touching the factory bump stops. 80s are simply the best all around vehicle on Earth! ✌🏽

      I’ll look into the 35s since up next is tires. Thanks for the help, this Toyota is by far my favorite vehicle to date
