The days of Land Rover Defenders for 3 grand are long gone! Crazy to think what 7 years did to this car.
Nowadays the g wagon and the defender are closer to 10k sometimes

A LR defender is more like £30k than 3k these days
English show, Defenders are like Chevy square-body pickups here... Had a 65 a lot of years ago (55mph down hill WITH a tail wind, had it for four years, NEVER needed four low range).
I've always wanted a defender since 1995. Never seen one for £3k that didn't need another £3k spent on it just to get it roadworthy
@@chrishart8548 Yeah but that is the nature of English cars... Grew up with them, Rover Sedan, Jags (2 of them) Triumphs (3 of them), an Austin-Healey (3000 mk 5), so usually had at least one broke down in the drive-way. Dad finally got inoculated for the disease and went to GERMAN cars! LOL
Wow 2013 seems like yesterday, now the G and the Defender both fetch well over 20,000 euro where I live in Sweden.
One of my dads friends swapped his old V70 diesel with like 450000kms on it for a Defender, that Defender now got sold for 24,500 euro and the Volvo is probably worth 500 or at the junkyard at this point

I know that MPG is imperial, but that is still quite good compared to the SVT Raptor and TRX now.
The Land Rover dates from 1948. I think you'll find that most people were staggering back from WW2 in 1945. The Land Rover was actually a kind of British rip-off of the Willys Jeep which was very popular with US and Allied forces during WW2.
but they improved jeep as well by making a better car and then jeep made another one to compare

They are tough to find but it is cheaper to find a Chevy Tahoe (which is the same truck under the frame as the Hummer).
As charming as Vicki is, she cannot convince me these 4x4s are cheap. The least expensive comparable option might be something like a well used mitsubishi.

I dont know who advised you on those prices but go on any of the popular car selling websites and see especially the Land Rover and the G Class are wayyyy more expensive.

If you have a long w460 diesel with 180+hp it's clearly not standard. + 28+k will be more like the price
