My oldest grandchildren are twins who also got upset every time the car stopped. Stereo screaming babies! They’re 17 years old and no longer scream when the car stops. 😊
Chana, thanx for always being so upbeat and organized but very flexible. I am living with cancer and there seems to so much beyond my control. Then see you smile and how you adjust and flex things. AND biggest of all, your faith is central. Thank you.
One of my boys would cry everting he was in the car seat and in the car. I just had to keep things moving and not worry about him. When the car seat turned and he could see out then he got better. It was a great relief when that happened. I can feel your pain.
Watching 2nd day I stopped to tell you that your shot included a crochet blanket wrapped around Baby Firefly that brought me to tears. My Mom (who passed in 2017) would crochet blankets like that for all family friends and relatives . It looked like one of hers so much.
Hannah you are an inspirational person you always have such a bright disposition I am not Jewish and found your TH-cam channel by chance and I am so glad I did it is wonderful to happen upon a channel that is truthful, inspiring and shows life as it is . Thank you Hannah I now always look forward to your posts.
Im so glad im watching your videos again! I've missed your deep breath and saying it's fine! That is so helpful for me when I'm feeling overwhelmed! I love that you wear your baby! I recently read about something called 'container baby' or 'bucket baby' which is when a baby spends much of their day in some *thing* rather than interacting with people. The stuff I read said it's detrimental to babies' development. Many parents already know this but many do not. Your challahs are beautiful! I don't remember if I told you that I used to work at a campus Chabad house in the kitchen. One of my jobs was making the challahs for Shabbos and Yomim Tovim. I had so much fun doing that but I never did manage tucking in the ends lol. They usually came out looking pretty strange on the ends but the students, the Rabbi and Rebbetzin and their children liked eating them so i guess that's what counts, right 😉!
My kids were terrible in the car at night for probably their first six months. During the day they were great. They would fall right to sleep, totally calm. But at night they were constantly screaming. We never could figure out quite why, but they would be inconsolable. If we had to drive any distance at night we tried best would could to have an adult in the back seat but even then it was rough. Then one day, they just got over it!
You have my, admiration. Home schooling with a baby. AWESOME.... plus I love that your children help with cooking, laundry etc. Need these skills as well as education. Love watching you and your beautiful family.
I am unmarried, not a mother, not really looking to be anytime soon, not Jewish, not homeschooling, and across the world from you but I just love watching these videos. They're such a wonderful insight into a life so different from my own but also so similar in many ways, I learn so much from you. Bless you and your family.
Good morning Chana! I love that you let your kids play in the rain, get muddy and even pour their own tea/milk. As a mom of two boys, I struggle with messes and work hard on letting them be little. Your chillness is an inspiration. I love your "that's okay!" approach to life. #goals. Have a super day!
@@jaroffireflies right! Totally me, too. It's hard knowing ultimately its all just more work for us. But I really do try to remember that the momming is never done anyway, so might as well have fun while we're at it.
I love how you generally split up the day: group learning, chores, lunch, individual lessons, free time. It feels like a logical progression through the day but not monotonous. Plus with chores and such in the middle of the day, the kids get a break from sitting down and doing work and feel involved in the running of the home. But it's also super flexible based on who is up when and how everyone is feeling that day. It's a solid routine to give structure to everyone while being understanding of variances because life happens. IYH we have kids and if we end up homeschooling for whatever reason, I'd 100% come back and reference your videos as a resource and inspiration guide. Thank you for sharing!
Chana, please take care of yourself as wonderfully as you do your children, husband & home. Your responsibilities look overwhelming & your body is still recovering. 🌸
Nothing like the joy of watching kids play in the rain! Reminds me of the poem by ee cummings ~~ “when the world is mud- luscious and puddle wonderful!”
LOLOL!!! The ending! You are fine Chana! LOVE your channel; simple, truthful, honest, spiritual, and innocent. It is the way I was raised and so happy and thankful you are instilling this beauty in your family and in your sharing with us. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Your oldest son is quite the little man, isn’t he!!!??? So cool to see him cooking and holding the baby, etc. Like another commenter said, I have to work on letting my kids practice stuff. I dread the messes too! I hold my breath, grit my teeth, or some times I look away or leave the area! I don’t want to snap at them but we moms already have so much to do without more messes!! 😫But they do need to learn! Have a great weekend!! 🥰

Love how each child has their chores. Not only helpful but also teaches them basic life skills of taking care of themselves and learning responsibilities. I totally admire your laid back attitude towards homeschooling and managing the household. Happy school year to all.
Chana, I so enjoyed this video…sharing real life and the little Joy’s along the way. Highlights for me were the tea party and seeing your oldest bouncing Baby Firefly on his knee. Just an overall great video.
I loved seeing you reading Isaiah and rocking baby fire fly to sleep! Your children are such a delight! You are a very busy mom! I was also impressed with the school day lunch you made!
I have an idea about cooking salmon that we really enjoy. I buy a jar of Olive Garden salad dressing from H‑E‑B and pour it over the salmon. That’s it. The dressing tastes absolutely like the real Olive Garden one which we really enjoy. It doesn’t have that musty taste that bottled dressings always have. My internist gave me that idea.
I just love watching how you handle life with a smile and so positive 😊 baby Firefly is more vocal love when we get lil glimpse of him such a sweetie ❤️ 💕

Regarding infant crying in the car- My kiddo is 13 now but I remember that vividly. I positioned her car seat so I could wrangle a hand back there. It wasn’t easy but I have long arms. Hi Chana! Thank you for the great Video!! Always happy to see your kiddos enjoying school and having a day out in the rain ☔️. Seeing your daughter in her wellies splashing around reminded me of those days! Just being a kid…if only we could be so carefree as adults 😀. I have to tell you, it was so sweet to see your older son holding baby firefly👶🍼while you were teaching 🥰. And little dude…he is getting big! He was pushing the laundry cart and he looked so much taller! Boy do they change quick!! Have a great day, mama firefly☺️🧁
