I'm a Catholic, but am familiar with some of your practices. I had 2 Jewish roommates in college. Going grocery shopping was interesting, because we had to make sure that things were kosher or parked, so I got used to reading labels. It was very educational.

I wanted to convert as a child and my father told me if, as a young adult I wanted to convert, he’d help me anyway he could, my dad died when I was 17 but I still wanted to convert so I did it alone. Of course my rabbi turned me away twice but he knew I meant it. I’m still Jewish even though my husband is catholic. It’s in my soul…I cannot change my soul. Thank you for your videos because I truly cherish them. I’ve just begun to go through them and I’m a bit teary-eyed because I do cherish them. Never lose sight of your bliss...

I met my husband and I knew within an hour of meeting him that he was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my my life with. We’ve been together for 19 years and have been married for 16 years. Your camping trip looked awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
You are so open and honest and I am really glad that I just found your channel. I am slowly going thru your videos and I wanted to comment on the kitchen tour video where you talked about the fruit flies. (I already made a comment on the video so I didn't want to double post ) :) For our house we put apple cider vinegar in a small dish about halfway full. I cover it with plastic wrap very tightly and use a toothpick to poke maybe 10 holes all around. The fruit flies get attracted by the scent and crawl in thru the holes but can't get back out. If you don't want to use that method another one I saw was to wash all fruit that will be sitting out as soon as you get home from the grocery store. They explained that any fruits or veggies that we bring home have some amount of bugs so either wash right away or store in the refrigerator. Also to freeze any flours that as soon as you bring them into the house to kill any bugs. Yuk, enough talk about bugs ! Love your channel and now I am going back to the video :)

I have been frum all of my life although I did grow up modern orthodox and in my teens I decided to become more frum so I definitely went on my own journey and today we live in Lakewood, NJ. I have really been enjoying your videos. I was watching this video while eating breakfast this morning and I thought it was fantastic!! Couldn’t believe that your husband proposed on your first date!!! That’s amazing!!! I met my husband the traditional way with a shadchan. No cool story there but the work that my husband and I have put into our marriage over 21 years and the growth that we’ve experienced is certainly cool- Boruch Hashem!!! Anyway thanks for your videos and sharing your life with us.

@@CreamyJalapeno great questions! His family was not upset. Quite the contrary, they were thrilled! Converts to Judaism are held in high esteem. They did not pressure him about the matchmaking, but they were definitely hoping he would get married:)
I am so happy to find this video because I was wondering how you and your husband met, so glad I found your channel and even though I’m not Jewish, I love the idea of the Sabbath and I was telling my husband that we should just practice 24 hours off the grid. 😊
@@jaroffireflies You are so easy to listen to and I have always been so interested in the Jewish traditions (due to Orthodox neighbors) and I know that there are 613 rules in the Torah to follow and I am a Christmas & Easter Catholic; I think your religion is beautiful but I’m in my mid 60s and I don’t even go to church, so I will get my Jewish traditions from you, but we will do our 24 hour Sabbath because when you were telling the story about your early interest in conversion and that lady asked you to send her an email but she would not open it because of the Sabbath and you mentioned how refreshing that was, I understand because it’s a full-time & stressful job when I go through my emails so we’re definitely going to do 24 hours of no devices, but television, is not included because we cannot go through full withdrawal 😄 Have a wonderful day

Found a a “rails to trails” trail that is about 11 miles from me to walk for exercise, my first walk on it this week, will go again today. Love being out in nature too. Interested to hear more about matchmakers. (Single widow). I miss camping, it’s the one thing I don’t like doing alone💞
That trail sounds wonderful! I understand about camping alone, I was with our homeschool nature group on this trip so I had other ladies nearby. I hope you are able to find a camping buddy! Check out local sporting goods stores, maybe they have group camp outs! I know REI does!

He actually told us that we would make a beautiful couple and he’d love to see us get together one day. We had been considering dating, and the fact that our priest thought it was a good idea made us feel sure about it. It’s so great to have someone to guide you that loves and cares about you both but isn’t so invested in your lives that they can’t see your faults clearly.

Found a a “rails to trails” trail that is about 11 miles from me to walk for exercise, my first walk on it this week, will go again today. Love being out in nature too. Interested to hear more about matchmakers. (Single widow). I miss camping, it’s the one thing I don’t like doing alone💞
That trail sounds wonderful! I understand about camping alone, I was with our homeschool nature group on this trip so I had other ladies nearby. I hope you are able to find a camping buddy! Check out local sporting goods stores, maybe they have group camp outs! I know REI does!

@Penelope New This is how my priest is! 🥰 He knew me and my now boyfriend liked each other before we were dating. He actually told us that we would make a beautiful couple and he’d love to see us get together one day. We had been considering dating, and the fact that our priest thought it was a good idea made us feel sure about it. It’s so great to have someone to guide you that loves and cares about you both but isn’t so invested in your lives that they can’t see your faults clearly.
